Have just updated my phone via the BB desktop manager and can no longer find a way to save a sms message to the Saved Messages folder. It was on the menu button but not there now!

All of the sudden I am no longer receiving SMS text messages. I can still send them, but don't get any response. Any ideas on how to correct this?
View 4 Replies View Relatedhi. had 8900 for few months on orange uk with data plan. have been using email, internet and windows live and blackberry messenger all fine using either wi fi or mobile now all of a sudden its stop working and i cant use none. when i try to connect to internet i get a msg say this is a wi fi service please ensure your device has a wi fi connection , bb messenger wont send mgs or receive windows live jus says this service is not enabled for this handheld. ive contacted orange but they havnt helped they did say it could be a update of facebook causing problem?. have tried removing battery and restoring removed service books etc nothings fixed. can anyone help plz?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have my partners old 8900 curve and have been using it fine for a year, except that his old contacts were saved on the phone and mine on the SIM. I decided to delete his old contacts so I could copy mine over, I found on the internet that you can use RSET in the contact menu to delete all contacts at once. It worked perfectly but now the Blackberry will not save any new contacts, at all, ever!
It won't copy them from the SIM and it won't even save a contact when entered manually. I don't use it for anything other than phone calls and emails, so it has no apps that I know of.Also I have no software on my laptop to back it up or update it etc, I really only use it to read emails and receive phone calls when i'm not in the office.
Save my contacts onto my phone and not my Sim? I am transferring from Orange to Vodaphone and my contacts will be wiped from my sim when I replace it.

For me SMS is very important, but now it is not fully usable, because i can not write SMS-Drafts (10-20) with this new s**t Chat-Bubble-Thing. How can i switch to the old View and use SMS like it is on the 8310? My main-Problem is the Draft-Functionality .

View 8 Replies View RelatedCurve 8900 (TIM) OS: 5.0.0.461.Yesterday I connected my device to the computer and upgraded the software to version 5.0.0.461 via Blackberry desktop manager. I can't remember witch OS version the device had before.
After the update, i'm having two problems:
1.- When connected to my Dell BH200 bluetooth headset it no longer recognizes the A/V Remote control functions. With the previous software version, when the headset connected, it recognized: Handsfree, Stereo audio and A/V Remote control (witch allowed me to change songs and pause/resume play using the headset buttons). With the new version, it only recognizes the first two (even though in the device properties screen appear as services: Handsfree, Headset, A/V Remote control and Audio sink) . I use my device to listen to music, so having to take it out everytime i want to change a song instead of just using the headset buttons bugs me. Trying to solve this problem, i have deleted the headset from my bluetooth device list, and then paired it again (several times). I have also reseted the headset, and the device but nothing works. Any ideas on how i can get the device to recognize A/V Remote control functions again?
2.- After the upgrade, the block screen button on top of the device no longer works. Also, putting the device into the holster no longer blocks the device. Is this function disabled in new version?

I send text messages to my boyfriend all the time but .. I cannot figure out a way to send them to my email account.I have choosen the OPTIONs and clicked FORWARD or FORWARD AS ... but it only saves the last message. I would like the entire email string of messages which goes back several weeks to be forwarded. But it seems I can only choose FORWARD AS and then it only forwards the last post.

View 9 Replies View RelatedOn my curve 8320, I had a folder "SMS & MMS" for just SMS and MMS messages, and separate folders for email accounts (***@gmail.com & ***@tmo.blackberry.com) and another folder "Messages" for all messages.
On my 8900, the only folders I have is just the "Messages" folder, and my email folders. Is there anyway to get the "SMS & MMS" folder back? I hate going through all my emails and whatnot for my text messages.
I backed up my data. How do I open it now? For example, how do I read my SMS messages on my PC?

I could send MMS and everything else was fully functional.I figured it was an OS problem and upgraded to 5.0.0.592, but still no luck.I guess I'm a complete novice at this since the last BB I owned was the Pearl and that was two years ago, so is there a way I can clean the whole device and put everything back to factory settings and start from the ground up?would this tactic solve my issue, anyway?

First ever Blackberry after only using Nokia's and must say find it hard work/slow. My mate has been winding me up and bombarding me with loads of nonsense sms messages via his iphone as it takes seconds to send them. I know have 200 odd messages showing in my inbox but can only delete them individually
View 6 Replies View RelatedI upgraded from a MotoRazr2 V8 to a BlackBerry 8900 Curve so I wanted to transfer my data from the Moto to the BB. Well, I learned that Moto doesn't play nicely with Mac so my MacBook Pro was not much of a help. I had better luck with my HP running XP and managed to get the contacts switched without too much trouble.
The SMS records are another matter. I couldn't find a way to transfer them using BB Desktop Manager so I made a text file copy of them into a Windows folder I created. Two actually - one for inbox and one for sent items. Now I can't find a way to load those text files onto the Curve. I've tried every way I could think of using Desktop Manager but no dice. I would love a solution that does not require buying more software.
My SMS/MMS list has gone crazy, it is displaying a couple of messages from months ago rather than the usual chronoligical display. If I hit ALT S the list reverts back to normal and I can see all of the messages that I have sent in the correct order.

My friends just sent me a message and I cannot click and read it. I cannot reply or do anything about the messages. Then I just delete the whole thing. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a 8900 BB. I've had problems from day one with it. I'm on my third one. Blackberry said it was the OS. If it's not fixed, why do they keep sending me the same phone? On the latest one, I can't save, edit, or delete any contacts. I didn't realize it until I tried to put some new numbers in. I also can't send e-mails. I can receive them, I just can't send them. I always took the back of the phone off too so that it wasn't coming through 2 little holes through the top. Is the sound quality and volume of the 8900 equal to or greater than the 8300 with its batter door off?
