May 21, 2010I keep getting texts from the following number 07800002015 it appears that this number is replacing the number the text was actually sent from. I am using vodaphone business account, anything i can do to stop this?

Mar 24, 2010I just got a new blackberry im very new with it, I'm told I'm not allowed to access my instant messenger's unless i get a contract... which i dumb because im prepaid, and last time i checked they sale blackberrys for prepaid so why cant prepaid customers cant get prepaid data plans... anyways... im trying to sign into my instant messenger for yahoo and msn that i downloaded from the blackberry site.... at first it told me when i tried to sign in i needed a activation code, to speak to a representative... so i did and... they told me different stories and a bunch of crap... then concluded that i wasnt able to access messengers unless i had a contract i was able to download and access with pantech duo smart phone and any other phone but black berry this is a big issue my 2nd phone i had to buy because of this issue

Jun 19, 2010My handset crashed due to loading 3rrd party applications. I get a message on the screen 'Reload Software:552' when I switch on the handset. The handset cannot be recognized by the desktop manager when it is plugged in. The handset ceases all its functions till the OS is restored or retrieved. One option is to go to the authorized service centre. But that is hundreds of miles away for from where I stay. Is there any other way that I can personally work on retrieving it.

May 12, 2012When I got my Blackberry Torch 9800 everything worked for two days well not everything the browser said "uncaught exception java.lang illegal state so I did the sofeware update.After the update a I was unable to use the BB Messange..I went to my Service Provider and they told me I had to reload my OS which they did.I can send and recieve textes and calls but I still cannot get instant messaging, BB messanger and emails. I live in the Cayman Islands and my service provider is LIME. I bought this phone from Amazon via the OEM Planet in April.

Is there anyway he can retrieve his contacts in the Desktop Manager? He backed it up all of the time Is the contacts in a file on the computer that he can read? thanks in advance. I looked in the loader back up IPD files and all I see is a lot of jibberish. But no contacts.

He proceeded to start using the built-in Instant Messaging app, which I endorsed because it had the AOL Instant Messenger logo right in it. I assumed that the Instant Messenger use would use his Internet Data Plan. Surprise when I got the first month's bill and AT&T saw fit to route those messages out their SMS system and hit me with close to $40 in "extra TXT" fees. I'm going to ruin one of their employee's day tomorrow. But that's not why I'm here. I deleted that infernal IM app and have found eBuddy, with which I am familiar. I have downloaded it to the Vivaz and it runs, but when it starts is asks for permission to use the Internet, and then it sits there and says "installing". WHen I click "Cancel", I am told: "Your Internet settings must be activated for Java applications, or try again later. Check your phone manual or www.ebuddy.com on how to do this." Well, neither place mentions anything about this. How can I get this application to run?

Now the photos are no longer present in file explorer , but when I want to attach a photo or a video from an app like WhatsApp or Viber it keeps on showing previews of deleted albums. Aug 8, 2011i bought my BB one of the first things i wanted to do was setup my e-mail account and instant messaging so i did this by following the tutorials, however when i tried doing both it failed. The message i get is "Invalid email address or password. Verify your email addres and password. If the error persists, contact hotmail.co.uk." to setup my email address i chose "othe"r although there are options for windows live, [URL] is not there.
The strange thing is my sister got the same phone and i set her phone up for her and her's weorked straight away and she too registered a hotmail.co.uk email address.

Jan 9, 2010Are you able to listen to music while instant messaging or BBMing? It seems that when I'm listening to music and I'm on BBM and someone sends me a message, it stops my music and I hear the cricket sound but then my music doesn't resume after that. It's bugging me a little because then that means I can't have my music playing and getting SMS/MMS/IM notifications because it'll continue cutting the music off. It sounds like there was an issue when I did a switch device through DM. Anyone care to shed some light if you guys have the same issue?

Jun 5, 2010Yesterday I downloaded the 'crunchSMS' app, and enabled the firewall so that my texts would be redirected to the app. After trying the app I decided I didn't like it after all and uninstalled it so that i could go back to using the normal texting function on the blackberry. However, I forget to disable the firewall until just now, and when I did so it said there have been 8 text messages blocked by the firewall. When I disabled it, these texts did not reappear. A couple of them could be important and I could do with reading them - does anyone know how I can access these blocked messages?

It would be a great help if someone can help me and guide me on this. For obvious reasons I have deactivated my old SIM and got a new one fixed from the service provider. However those jokers VODOFONE staff have no clue how to retrieve my contact details from BB service.
