BB Bold 9700 :: Able To Listen To Music While Instant Messaging / BBMing?

Are you able to listen to music while instant messaging or BBMing? It seems that when I'm listening to music and I'm on BBM and someone sends me a message, it stops my music and I hear the cricket sound but then my music doesn't resume after that. It's bugging me a little because then that means I can't have my music playing and getting SMS/MMS/IM notifications because it'll continue cutting the music off. It sounds like there was an issue when I did a switch device through DM. Anyone care to shed some light if you guys have the same issue?

I recently bought beejive (user license) and deleted the free AIM application that I got from bb app world. I'm wondering what application you guys use for AIM (aol instant messenger) and if you use beejive as well does it drain your battery?

i bought my BB one of the first things i wanted to do was setup my e-mail account and instant messaging so i did this by following the tutorials, however when i tried doing both it failed. The message i get is "Invalid email address or password. Verify your email addres and password. If the error persists, contact hotmail.co.uk." to setup my email address i chose "othe"r although there are options for windows live, [URL] is not there.
The strange thing is my sister got the same phone and i set her phone up for her and her's weorked straight away and she too registered a hotmail.co.uk email address.

I havemy hotmail set up on it however its not instant. It can take up to 20mins for a message to come through. My wife's is instant and so are a few others who use hotmail on their bolds. Can i anyway get this issue resolved? I'm having to use gmail as a secondary email account just so that I get instant replies when I need them.

I had a BB Pearl with Tmobile that allowed for several different instant messenging providers but on my new Bold 9700, it only appears as if BB messenger is allowed. If this is not the case, can someone tell me how to get the others?

I read about the Alt+Enter to lock the phone and have the password instantly activate. But is there ANY way to have the Lock button on top of the 9700 to lock it and password protect it instantly? I know that with my 8900, the standby button does it instantly but there is no standby on the 9700.It just doesn't make sense to me why locking it from the home screen and the alt+enter would password protect it right away, but the lock button at the corner makes you wait.

My phone is indicating I have 2 instant messages but I cant for the life of me find where they are on my phone. Im not sure if its a fault on my phone (Blod 9700)
How can I find out what these 2 items are and get rid of them somehow. do I need to reset or something?

Community the application returns the following message: " Nokia Messaging subscription is required to activate the services you have selected. By pressing Reject, you will have access to Ovi Chat, Nokia's Community. For more information, visit messaging. nokia. com".Although I have visited the above mentioned site there is no information to help me successfully sign in into IM application. How do I solve this?

Is it possible to go to a radio stations' web site and use their streaming audio or 'listen live' feature? I had no problems doing this with my last smart phone (Samsung). Apparently the BB platform doesn't support streaming audio. Why not is my question and is there an application to remedy this. This is my first BlackBerry and although I really like the phone.. the user interphase leaves a lot to be desired.

When I got my Blackberry Torch 9800 everything worked for two days well not everything the browser said "uncaught exception java.lang illegal state so I did the sofeware update.After the update a I was unable to use the BB Messange..I went to my Service Provider and they told me I had to reload my OS which they did.I can send and recieve textes and calls but I still cannot get instant messaging, BB messanger and emails. I live in the Cayman Islands and my service provider is LIME. I bought this phone from Amazon via the OEM Planet in April.

I'm not able to add any Instant Messaging accounts at all. Every time I try to add an account through the Social Hub and through the IM app, I get "Error Occurred".I was able to add Gmail and hotmail but I can't add any of the IM programs such as Windows live messenger and Google Talk.My phone is factory unlocked, stock kernel XWKF3.I tried calling Samsung for support, and they just told me to send the phone back, but I know it's not a problem with the phone.

After looking over upgrade options, he settled on a Vivaz. We have AT&T's Family Plan. He proceeded to start using the built-in Instant Messaging app, which I endorsed because it had the AOL Instant Messenger logo right in it. I assumed that the Instant Messenger use would use his Internet Data Plan. Surprise when I got the first month's bill and AT&T saw fit to route those messages out their SMS system and hit me with close to $40 in "extra TXT" fees. I'm going to ruin one of their employee's day tomorrow. But that's not why I'm here. I deleted that infernal IM app and have found eBuddy, with which I am familiar. I have downloaded it to the Vivaz and it runs, but when it starts is asks for permission to use the Internet, and then it sits there and says "installing". WHen I click "Cancel", I am told: "Your Internet settings must be activated for Java applications, or try again later. Check your phone manual or www.ebuddy.com on how to do this." Well, neither place mentions anything about this. How can I get this application to run?

few days ago I transfered some photo albums from my computer to my phone and then I deleted them using my pc. Now the photos are no longer present in file explorer , but when I want to attach a photo or a video from an app like WhatsApp or Viber it keeps on showing previews of deleted albums. I can see those photos but when I try to select tem a message pops up "Impossible to open photo. It could be lost or damaged".

I did something to my phone (and my wifes) that whenever we send messages to each other, it always makes it a bbm. I personally don't like bbm and would rather have sms texting. What do I need to do to our phones so they go back to sms text? Can I just delete bbm and it will fix itself?

I activated my new BB Bold 9700 yesterday and everything was fine until this morning. I plugged my device into my laptop to setup the BB Desktop software and when I unplugged it a short while later, I noticed I no longer had a text messaging icon on my homescreen, or in my tray. I can still recieve/send text messages, but I can't find my inbox anywhere.

On bbm I keep getting an incoming bbm instant message alert/sound while im typing a message. The alert/sound only appears for incoming bbm messages when I'm typing on bbm. the alert/sound is different than the sound that I set on the profile menu and the volume is much bigger. Can I deactivate this alert/sound?

I did a forum search for my problem, and couldn't find an answer for my specific issue, which is this:My AT&T 9700 worked great until about a month ago, when it started to freeze while I was text messaging. Looking through the forums here, I noticed that it was happening when I had large numbers of saved texts, and I started deleting the threaded messages so that I was never over about 20-25 texts per person. That solved the problem for 2 weeks.Last week, I started deleting all text messages beyond 15 texts, total, and still I have the issue. I just had the phone freeze and refuse to allow me into the threaded portion of the text after just 3 texts (2 from my wife and 1 from me)!Does anyone else have this problem? I have done the following as well, in order:
Battery pull
Factory reset, no additional applications
Upgraded to the latest AT&T approved OS (5.0.0.602?)

Each time, the problem has recurred. I never have less than 105MB of application memory available.
I run my practice via email and text messages when I am (frequently) out of the office, so this is becoming a critical issue for me. Ideas?
