View 9 RepliesAll of a sudden, my alarm stopped going off. I can't make it work. I don't think my ringtones work any more. I have had my phone on silent because of the meetings I've been in, but when I've been searching my phone for the problem, I notice that all of my ringtones are locked? What's going on? How do I fix this? I need to be able to hear my phone and use my alarm.

View 1 Replies View Relatedsince I've upated my BB 8900 to 5.0.0.592 (official release of my provider), the alarm clock is not ringing when the phone is locked.
When it's unlocked there is no problem and the alarm is sounding.
But when it's locked it does only display an information about the alarm on the screen, but no sound :smileysad: How can I fix that? I'dont want to get too late too often!
If I recieve an e-mail on my phone, it is automatically removed if I open the same e-mail on Microsoft Outlook 2007.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a blackberry curve 8530 and while I was texting today my phone kept sending the message before I pressed the send button, after a while I figured out it happened anytime i pressed on the p key. So like I usually do when I have problems with my phone, I turned it off and back on. Then when it came back on and I was asked for my password, (which contains p's) my password kept sending as soon as I hit the p and it came back as incorrect because I was unable to finish typing it. I am now locked out of my phone and don't know how to fix it.

My phone does not ring or make any noises whatsoever. If someone calls, it will only vibrate. My profile is set to loud. Both in and out of holster are set to vibrate+tone. The only time I can hear sound is when the headset is in. I have tried removing the battery, but still no luck. There has not been any water damage to this phone. It was working fine for a while, and then one day it just stopped.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the new Bolt browser on .348 and after it installed it said to reboot so I did that. Ever since then my phone will show the Blackberry loading screen, then the red LED flashed for a few seconds and then it does it all over again. I left the battery out all night it did not help. DM shows no PIN connected because it obviously isn't booted.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI had my phone outside with me while i was swimming. my phone didn't get wet at all and was never in the sun, and was covered by a towel. however, when i went to go pick it up, it was in the process of restarting. when it finally got to the tmobile screen, it vibrated, then turned off and restarted again. it's been doing this nonstop. i've tried taking the battery out, plugging the phone in, then putting the battery in. keeping it on the charger while it restarts. letting it die completely from it restarting so much. and leaving the battery out for a few hours before putting it back in. however, none of it has helped. I've looked at other forums and help sites, but it all says it has to do with a new os. i haven't downloaded anything on to my blackberry in months. i've seen things about using desktop manager, but my computer is broken right now, too. :/ for awhile, my memory card kept saying that it had an error and needed to fix it on desktop manager, but again, i haven't been able to use my computer.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI got a BB 8310 from my girlfriend. While tryin to update to simply sync my music to the phone, i decided to update the phone's software which has turned into a disaster! While updating, during the screen where it says "DO NOT UNPLUG", the faulty USB cable came out leaving the phone unfinished. Now all the phone does is blink with a red light. It does NOT come on at all. The screen remains black. When its plugged in to the computer now, it doesn't read its a BlackBerry. It says "USB device not recognized".
Now I know that during the installation the phone's system files where probably deleted. And not replaced. So what now? Is there something I can do to have the phone recognized by my computer? It was backed-up before the new installations took place, but does not help because the computer is not recognizing the phone. HELP PLEASE! I would hate to lose my new BlackBerry before I actually get to enjoy it.
I cannot read messages that are sent to me when my phone is locked. When i unlock it it says at the top of the screen that i have 12 unread messages but when i go into the message folder it shows no new messages!

View 14 Replies View RelatedMy phone won't register when I hook it up to the USB port on my laptop. I haven't had any issues before, and the last thing that happened to my phone was that I updated the OS to the latest version (5.0.0.681). I did this on Monday and tried to hook my phone to my computer yesterday (first time since update). It wasn't recognized and I messed around with it for a while. I eventually did something that got it to work, but I disconnected it and since then, I haven't been able to re-hook it up. When I do hook it up, my phone charges, but my computer doesn't realize it's there.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis is my first post on the forums, but I do think I'm a fairly knowledgable BB user. Had 3 BBs over the course of a few years, so I can usually rectify small problems as they arise. However I've recently come across something that I am not sure how to solve, or maybe it is not fixable- I do not know.Basically my phone has been making a constant heartbeat sound when I make or receive calls. Doesn't matter if it is on speakerphone, or the normal phone. Its also not just a slightly annoying noise in the background, it cuts off the person on the other end and breaks up their speech. Essentially kills any phone conversation because I cannot understand the other person. I am not sure if the other person can hear me or not. This has been going on for about 3 days now, and is very irritating.I would like to find a way to fix it rather than get a new one. My old pearl's trackball died, so I had to get a new phone, which led me to the 8900. The keyboard on that quit working, so I got a new 8900, which was luckily just under the one year warranty. Now this one is having this problem, but its just a few weeks outside the stupid 3 month warranty on replacements. I'm fed up with ATT and BB because of these device failures, and also because ATT never provided me with my $100 rebate, even after complaining to corporate. It's just a situation where I feel robbed in a way, and just want to find a way to get my current phone to work thru the rest of my contract so I can upgrade to a better device.Any suggestions of how to rid myself of the heartbeat noise? I'd really appreciate it.

1. Profiles. Reviewed my Normal(Active) profile under the Profiles menu tab Advanced. Tried several options on the Phone settings, including Out of Holster: Tone, Vibrate+Tone, changed the Ring Tone, changed the Volume. Made sure Mute, None, or Do Not Disturb options were NOT selected. Nothing.
2. Chose a different profile, such as Loud. Nothing.
3. Turned the phone off, pulled the battery out and reinserted. Nothing.
