Motorola Motoactv :: Plan To Incorporate Support For The ANT+ Fitness Equipment Device Profile?

Nov 8, 2011

Is there a plan to incorporate support for the ANT+ Fitness Equipment Device profile? Seems that this is the only fitness related profile that is missing from the MOTOACTV. I would love to be able to use this device primarily with the Concept2 Indoor Rowing machine (as well as some Spin bikes at the gym). The Concept2 monitor software supports the FE profile and it would be nice to be able to pair the MOTOACTV to track the many meters that I'll be rowing this winter indoors. In addition... just a future thought... the accelerometer would open up the possibility of using this device as a stroke coach for on-water rowing (i.e. stroke cadence)! Nothing wearable exists like this on the market for us rowers...we have to log our workouts manually and don't have a means to retain detailed metrics such as power graph over time etc.

BB Bold :: Device Password For Blackberry Bold To Sync

Aug 25, 2011

I am having a problem downloading media onto my blackberry bold 9780. I have successfuly installed the CD that comes with the blackberry and the USB cable goes in fine to my blackberry. But then in the last step, it asks for my blackberry password. I believed this to be the 4 digit pin I use to lock my phone, but this failed. I tried other passwords that I use for other various things but it didn't work, and it wiped everything off my phone. After contacting my service provider (o2) they suggested I try changing my 4 digit pin because this is definitely the password it requires. I changed it, but again it didn't work. I was wondering if someone could tell me which password the blackberry needs so I can start putting music onto my blackberry?

BB Bold 9700 :: 9700 How To Contact Blackberry Technical Support?

Apr 30, 2010

I bought my gf a BOLD 9700. I live in Singapore and bought an officially unlocked BB. I ust bought the model only, not with a contract from any carrier. My gf uses her simcard but doesnt have a data plan. We dont intend to use the email functions. But we do want to have WIFI on my home network. Been already busy for a few days and have seen several sites and seems that a lot of people have problems with this issue.Inside my router I see there is an IP adress assiged to the blackberry and I see the mac adress of the BB. But the blackberry keeps saying Failed to obtain an IP adress.Other laptops and my IPhone connect instantly to this router. And how to contact the blackberry technical support? Or can I return the phone under warranty?Im not so familiar with blackberry's.I also tried it with my own simcard which does have a data plan with it. But the same problem exists.Already reset the router a thousand times and removed battery from the BB a dozen times..on the BB screen I also see the WiFi is connected to my home network router but the wifi logo doesnt light up.

BB Bold 9000 :: Default Service - Device Address Book No Available

Jan 12, 2010

So I wiped my bb bold 9000. All went well, except when I open up the Desktop Manager to sync my calendar and address book, DM gives me the following error message: The default service for your device's "address book" is no longer available. The new service for synchronization is "blahblah@wrongemail.com"

I have five email addresses linked to my Bold (yahoo, gmail, live, etc) and I want it to sync with my work address book and calendar (not blahblah@wrongemail.com). It had no problem doing this before the wipe...

I have gone in to options/advanced options/default services and changed both options (CICAL and CMIME) to my work email address, but I still get the error message. I even went so far as to delete all five email addresses and start adding them from scratch...making sure that I added my work email address first...figuring that may set it as default.

IPhone :: Using 3gs Without A Wireless Service Plan?

Jun 25, 2012

My brother passed on his old iPhone 3GS so my kids could use it as an iPod Touch equivalent, but I'm having trouble activating it. First, I did read the main support article on this:

[URL]

But it says you either need the SIM card from your new iPHone or the original SIM card.

1. My own iPHone 4S has a microSIM that won't fit in the 3GS's SIM card slot.

2. The 3GS does not have its original SIM card (my brother doesn't have it, thinks the carrier took it back when he upgraded). I tried inserting a SIM card from a prepaid phone my kids use for emergencies but the 3GS would not activate with that SIM card installed. Right now the 3GS is stuck unable to activate.

BB Bold 9700 :: Service Books Can Not Be Delivered / Carrier Says Device Broken

Mar 7, 2010

I have a strange problem since yesterday. Out of the blue my 9700 (5.0.0.442, free device, Vodafone Germany) can no longer connect to the Internet. The connection to the BIS, however, is still there. It lacks only the right service books. Vodafone said that I should do a software update -> so I installed 5.0.0.536. But the problem persists. The Vodafone-BlackBerry support is then determined that posting the service books hang in a "queue" and can not be delivered. They created a new BIS account for testing, even there the problem exists. My carrier says I have to replace the 9700. But I don't think, that this is a hardware problem.
Sounds more like a software problem to me, because some service books still arrive:

Wi-Fi TCP / IP Browser
Wi-Fi TCP / IP Transport
Save Self VPL
D2 WAP 2.0
Wap Push Config
Vodafone DE MMS transport
Provisioning

Akkupulls, resending service books, wiping and new firmware install brought no improvement. I just despair.
Every data connection with no BIS requirement works. (e.g. weather apps)

BB Curve 8500 :: Do Need Service Plan To Accesss Internet?

Jan 7, 2010

I recently purchased a curve 8520 for christmas. I went through the process of setting up the wireless but when I go to Manage Connections in the home menu I'm getting a dash (-) next to the wifi connection. It is connectiiong to my wireless network at home but when I go on the browser I get "An error occurred while fetching the reqested page". Also, when I go to Host Routing Table they're not entries. The mobile network I'm using is Digicel but I'm not on any blackberry service plan. Is it that the only way I can access my wirelss at home (or anywhere for that matter) is if I join the service plan? If that's not the case, then how do I get internet access using the wifi connection?

BB Torch :: Service Plan Doesn't Approve Internet?

Nov 6, 2012

I bought my blakcberry torch a couple of days ago, since then i have signed up for a blackberry ID and registered with my Wifi, this has all worked fine. However, for some reason whenever i go on setup and then email accounts it always says "your device is having problems connecting to the server" whats this all about? Also, whenever i go on BBM and try to invite a friend it says "waitng for authorisation" i'm on contract with BSI included. Additionally i know my friend has not declined my invite cause he said my invite hasnt come through (only been 3 days). Help is needed on this too! And finally, if i go anywhere without wifi i can't access the internet because it says "my service plan doesn't approve internet" literally wtf, blackberry's a far too complicated?!
