my Blackberry 9930 has just stopped working. The red charging light comes on but there are no functions. The phone is only 3 months old. What is the best number to contact Blackberry on?

So my 9900 had some charge (about 30%) so I plugged it in to charge it over night, and left it.When my alarm didn't go in the morning, I went over to it and it wouldn't turn on.I unplugged it from the charger and performed a battery pull. The red light came on, and that was it.

I have read about flashing red lights online with the Bold 9900, but mine just stays on.
I recently upgraded my OS from 4.6 to 5.0 and everything is going well except, I don't know why my Bold 9000's screen light will NOT turn off while it is in it's cradle charging. I must be messing up on a certain setting It used to turn off for the night while charging.
View 13 Replies View RelatedIs the red LED supposed to be ON while the Bold is charging?I just got the Bold and when the phone is on, and I plug it to the wall charger, there is a lightening bolt on the battery icon so I know it is charging, however, there is no red LED.
I used to have a Bold about 6 months ago, then switched phones, and I'm now back on the Bold. I could've sworn when I had the Bold last time, that there was a red LED ON when I charged the phone. Now I don't see it.
Was I just imagining things? Or maybe it was a different OS version? I'm on 4.6. (I think when I was on the Bold last time, I was on OS 5.0.
I was having some issues with my 9900, mainly the touch screen wasn't working. Since I couldn't really use the phone, I left if for a week and know it will not charge.. The phone's red light will not turn on when plugging in and another battery did not work. When you plug it in, the battery charging indicator in the middle of the screen will comeoup showing charging, but after 2 mins the icon disappears and the screen goes black. I have also tried connecting it withhout the battery to the desk top manager to update the software, but it says it cannot connect to device .

Instead I have a slow flashing red indicator light.I tried to connect it to my Blackberry Desktop Software but it wouldn't see it (kept saying it couldn't connect).I understand this is a common problem with the 9900 and that exchange the phone is the only solution. Typically I would go back to Rogers and try to exchange the phone but I bought the phone outright and can't find the receipt anywhere.SInce this model is less than a year old (so my phone can't be out of warranty is there another way to exchange it without my original receipt?I came back to BB from Android and actually quite liked my Bold (especially in tandem with my Playbook) but now I find myself back on an old Android phone because my Bold is dead.

They both have a charge light that stays on when charging and goes off when charging is complete. I've notice that with the Icon the light never goes out when the phone is fully charged. When I charge my 822 the light goes out when it's fully charged.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI plugged my bb into the wall and for a little bit it was charging fine but then the symbol disappeared. I unplugged and plugged back in which made the clock pop up so I know it connected right. But its still not charging. I turned the charging indicator led on with berrybuzz and the light didn't turn on when I plugged it in.
Meterberry says the temp is 111 degrees. I don't know what the 'normal' ranges are. I'm still under my 30day warranty so do I take it back? Is anyone else having this problem? Its done this before and it eventually charges but something is going on....
the red charging light that comes on when charging phone has now started to stay on even when not charging and the phone heats up when using it and battery seems to be draining fast im to scared to charge phone up incase i fry it.

View 13 Replies View RelatedI have a Bold 9700 on the Bell Network and have lost all the BB functions. Phone was working fine and then I lost all ability to access email and BBM.
The email icons are there but the BBM icon vanished along with all my other app icons (NHL, Weather, ZoomPass etc.). I've also noticed that the blackberry logo that is usually beside the 3G icon in the top right is also gone. What is weird is that the phone can still make calls, text and browse. Bell data support says everything is fine on there end. I've wiped the unit via JL_Cmder and reinstalled the latest OS 5.0.0.545 and still not working.
Have MTS SIM. Have BBerry & Data Plan. Have Voice Plan. Phone is Unlocked and used the TCP/IP settings posted online: internet.mts.ru UN:mts PW:mts
I'm receiving all signals 3G, EDGE,edge, etc but it will not receive or send emails? on the Service Status it just reads Blackberry Internet Service and BES "Not Connected" How do I fix this and start getting my emails as I have used a few other unlocked BBerry's b4 (Curve, Old School side wheel etc) and never had email/bberry problems.
When opening emails I have no menu functions, when pressed the menu button returns me to home Page. All other menu functions seem to work OK

View 5 Replies View RelatedAll audio on my Bold 9650 has suddenly stopped functioning - no ring tones, alerts, speakerphone, music or voice recordings can be heard. The phone is not muted and the volume is turned up. Hard reset and soft reset have not fixed it. Software was upgraded to 5.0.0.1006 after problem started and did not resolve it. Device self test performed and verified that no audio functions were working. Also, there's an icon that I don't remember seeing before showing below my EDGE indicator. It is a white circle with a cross through it, like the sight symbol when you are focusing a gun or camera. I can't find the icon on any icon list to indicate what it means.

After a while the white screen with the nokia sign appears for few seconds and then shuts off automatically and the charging light comes off. When i tried to use the power button it doesn't turn on. My brother just got his in today and it's dark so I'm just curious if it's an issue or that's just how it is stock. The feature i miss the most from my droid 2 days is the little indicator light to know that the phone is charging... I realize that light was left off this phone and moved to the caps lock key. But wondering if there was a way of turning in the indicator light when the phone is charging like when i get a notification that i have a text message. My Wifes incredible 2 indiciator light turns red when it is charging and i beleive turns white when it is finished. Its just a lot easier for me to look at my phone and see it is charging vs having to unlock my phone to see if it is charging or see it on the lock screen. Sometimes my charges becomes unplugged and i was always quick to know with the droid 2 that it had happend. vs waking up the next morning with my droid 4 thinking it was charging and nothing all along. Is there a feature i'm missing or is it possible to have this in an upcoming update?

After this the greenish yellowish LED light starts blinking to tell me its charging. I absolutely hate that light and can't stand it. View 14 Replies View RelatedI was charging my new BlackBerry Curve 8530 just about now and I was checking if it was charging or not because it only had the blinker, blinking orange and nothing else. Because it's been charging for an hour or so.
I accidently turn the BlackBerry on so I quickly turn it off to let it continue charging. But when I turn it off, the orange blink wasn't blinking anymore so I unplug the charger and plug it back in quickly.
My question is: will this affect the battery length when I actually use the phone because I unplugged it that first charge?
