I have been trying to restore my earlier BBM messages through Desktop. Instead it wiped out my existing messages. I back up all messages on desktop when I sync contacts. So I am sure all my BBM messages are somewhere in the back up.
I downloaded a FB upgrade, declined to reboot now, and now I can't retrieve FB messages, or text or call any FB contact and the menu popup will not open on FB. There is no "option" icon in my applications folder for whatever reason.
I am using the BB Bold 9700 with Vodafone. My handset software got corrupted and I took it to the authorized BB service centre and my software have been uploaded but I lost all my data from the phone specially the contacts.
I often hear many people complaining or wanting to have the Bold 9650 look like the Bold 9700. I found this picture of the Tour 2 9650 splitting with the 9700 Bold to show the differences between of the Bold 9650 if it stays the same without changes, this is what the difference would be compared to the Bold 9700.as you can see, the only difference if the Bold 9650 stays the same as we see here when the final release comes, is that the Bold 9650 has a somewhat larger bezel VS the 9700 Bold. Other then that, you can see from the pic, nothing else is different on the face of the phones in looks.just thought it was pretty interesting(left side is the 9650, right side is the 9700.
I have no idea what my username is and I don't even think I remember creating one. There's a forgot password prompt, but that's obviously useless if I don't know my username.
My Blackberry Bold got wet last week - I am trying to dry it out, but in the meantime, I cannot retrieve my contacts as they are on the phone. Is there any way I can retrieve these contacts from my desktop backup?

Any hidden folders or logs or anything in the phone's software files to retrieve the texts?
How do I retrieve my lost BBM icon? I still have the ability to do BBM instant messaging. The icon does not appear in my instant messaging folder so I am unable to move it to my home screen.
My sister's blackberry bold 7900 has the "App Error 523" message and I'm trying to help her retrieve some of the phone numbers off her BB. I read that I needed to download the desktop manager, which I did, and it seems to recognize the phone as that's what shows up on the software but, on the bottom right corner it just keeps saying "Connecting...". How long does it usually take to connect? I've had it on there for 15 mins now. I can't access the phone at all. Once I turn it on, it goes to the white screen with the error on it
I'm trying to remember my password for my blackberry email, but I can't. I've already switched my info over to my new bold. Is there anyway I can contact blackberry to retrieve my password?
My BB bold experienced a "JVM error 517" problem so I had to reinstall my phone firmware however doing so erased everything on my contact list. Any body knows how to retrieve my contact list?
1 month ago I had my carrier send me a new blackberry since my old one kept freezing on me. With that said, all I did to my new phone was put in my old sim card, multi-media card and the battery. Usually in the past when I received a new phone, I would get a new pin# for my bbm. I recently added new contacts to my list and today I decided to back up my phone and up load my previous phone #'s from my desktop. i then checked my phone and realized that my phone screen changed with everything else. So long story short, how can i retrieve my recent bbm contacts?
Screen on my old Bold 9000 broke and I can not enter to the phone menu. I need to transfer text messages from the phone to my computer, so I can see them. Is there a way to do it? I was able to get to photos, contacts etc. but not the text messages.
I switch my SIM Card from one 9000 BlackBerry to a new one. I can't retrieve my contacts no matter what I do. My personal and business options are unchecked. The contact list remains empty.
My blackberry crashed and I can't get anyone to tell me how to retrieve the info from my Desktop Manager Software.I got BB to tell me how to save it as a zipped file, but they (and Verizon) will tell me how to convert it so my laptop can read it. I'm looking for my memo lists and pictures, mostly. My calendar, if possible, but I have a hard copy of that.I upgraded to an I Phone 4, which is why I don't have a working BB to just plug into my laptop.

I bought a Bold about 25 days back and it has a few issues so far, but this one worries me.I have a lot of info on my media card, and now it says the card has errors and wants me to format. It doesn't matter if I sick the micro SD into an adapter or try to connect my 9700 through a USB, how can I retrieve all my data, and than format? It is a 16GB Kingston HC media card. How do I avoid the format and retrieve my data? Appreciate your help. I did not experience this issue until a few days back and I tried the battery pull mechanism, which only reset the phone.
I seem to have lost some contact information. Though many of my contacts are still intact, others no longer show a secondary phone number I once entered, or some contacts seem to have disappeared completely. The strange thing is, when I dial one of the "lost" numbers manually, the contact's name does show up! But I can't find it in the list of contacts. I have already checked and unchecked the Business and Personal options in the filter menu, but that didn't do the trick.Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong?note: this problem is not my own - I'm asking for a friend of mine
I dropped my bold in the ocean today, it was washed around by the waves a bit lol. My sim and mem card are working fine in a bb pearl. The bold is drying out in a tub of rice. I desperately need to access the emails on my bold that I had sent and received and we're in my inbox. I was hoping they would appear when setting up my pearl but only new emails have arrived. Can anyone help me? The documents I need are to and from my lawyer and as much as I know how stupid I am not to have them backed up, I have a lot riding on their content.
Can anyone help me with this error message, I am not able to check-in in the facebook application i have contacted my service provider and they say is an error message that needs to be reviewed with blackberry.
I'm on my 2nd Bold 9700 in 4 days... The wireless connection is working fine outside and in some parts of my work building..but not in my office... Talked to our IT group and they don't get why i wouldn't get wireless because we have "booster's" through out the facility.I went from a bb 8703e (which i had no issues with for 3yrs) to a bold 9700 _ love the phone but not if i can't retrieve emails, internet..etc.
