Screen on my old Bold 9000 broke and I can not enter to the phone menu. I need to transfer text messages from the phone to my computer, so I can see them. Is there a way to do it? I was able to get to photos, contacts etc. but not the text messages.

My screen is frozen, I am unable to get into my Droid. I have purchased a new Droid. I need to access my text messages and be able to print them out, for a court order. I have spoken to Motorola Support, up to Level 2. Motorola told me that in order to fix the phone, they "have to perform a Master Reset." I asked if they could put a notification to the Repair Dept. to "not do a Master Reset?" I was again told by Motorola, they "have to do a Master Reset." If a Master Reset is done...I'll lose all my text messages! Which is why I need the phone repaired. I won't be using the phone, in the future. I also agreed to pay the cost for repairs. I can get my phone repaired, or whatever I have to do, so I can retrieve these text messages. The texts are from 1 person, they are locked and their are 379 texts. I NEED THESE TEXTS FOR A COURT CASE...The texts are evidence for myself, the Plaintiff.

After that, I began having intermittent problems with the backlight...sometimes it would grow very dim to the point that it would be difficult to read the screen, other times it wouldn't work at all even though the phone was powered up. Eventually it stopped working completely and I got a new 8520 from T-Mobile which works great.However, I desperately need to retrieve some old text messages that are stored on the 8100. They are going to be used in a legal case (if I can get to them) and I need to get them quickly if possible. Is there a way to do this?

I have been trying to restore my earlier BBM messages through Desktop. Instead it wiped out my existing messages. I back up all messages on desktop when I sync contacts. So I am sure all my BBM messages are somewhere in the back up.
