View 1 Replies View RelatedI tried following instructions on how to transfer my BBM contacts over from my Bold 9780 to my new 9900 but I am having difficulties!
I have tried to "switch devices" to my new Bold 9900, from my 9780, but when it is switching to the new device, it keeps getting stuck on "backing up on-board memory" and doesn't continue to switch the data over.
I got my Blackberry Bold 9700 yesterday and am having trouble transferring my list of contacts from my sony ericsson c900 onto Blackberry.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI didn't see a thread that pertained to my problem, so if there is then let me apologize ahead of time for the duplication. Anyway. I have a Bold 9700 and the new version of Desktop manager. I went to transfer photo and video from by BBBold to my computer, but the media manager just throws me into my Roxio and it doesn't recognize the media card in the BB. Worse yet, the computer will show the BB as a removable disk, yet when I clicked on it to try and transfer the file the "old school" way, it then says it doesn't recognize the drive. I'm doing this through transfer cable, my laptop doesn't have bluetooth built in. The old Desktop had a nice, convenient dual window setup where you could just drag files back and forth. If anyone knows how to make the new Desktop manager do that or how I can accomplish the file transfers that apparently Desktop doesn't want me to do, please let me know.

I got a BB Bold 9900 last night and can't download apps on it. I have tried everything, including uninstall/reinstall several times but I'm still getting the terms and conditions when I press 'download', when I accept these, nothing happens - it just goes back to the download page and the same happens again.
View 5 Replies View Relatedhow to transfer the all contacts from bb 9700 to 9900?
I have too many contacts and either I've tried to copy them to the SIM Card but I can't select!
Tried the Blue Tooth Transfer. Calendar and SMS worked fine.
Contacts...not so much. It says 3 transferred over, but I can't even see those.
BB says we can download apps for the interruption but.... with the bold 9900 for example the Shazam app does not even exist...Linked in.... does not exist either. When will bb ENABLE these apps. You can easily say hey we are going to offer free apps.. that are not downloadable!

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am on my 3rd Blackberry, currently on the new Bold 9900. It developed this camera fault that seems to be an issue throughout the Blackberry series. Yep the "camera not working because there are to many apps running" problem......except there are no apps running, this is clearly a hardware issue.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a new BB 9900 Bold Touch and am slowly getting my way around it. I have all my pictures on in my picture library. I visited App World yesterday to download a few games, came out and thought I'd change my wallpaper picture on my phone. Went into 'picture library' and found just under 500 images that I never saved to my phone! Scrolling through them I recognised a few from the games I viewed and downloaded from App World. I deleted them all (took me near on an hour) went on there again today and a few are back again! It seems my phone is automatically saving images. How do I stop this happening? Is it some kind of setting I have to change?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just updated my 9900 to bundle 1672 from 14xx which came factory installed using the desktop manager. This resulted in the loss of ALL third party apps and some BB apps! Of course, as recommended I did a backup before the update and the desktop manager restored from the backup. Despite this, none of my apps followed.
Lost App World and the compass app. The compass app I can't find again. App World was an easy fix through BB's website. Once I got App World I could download all the apps I have bought from My World. However, some of them require registration (haven't heard back from these companies yet) and I lost all my entries and settings in these apps!
I lost all third party apps that came pre-installed that I haven't downloaded from App World, like Wikitude, Facebook, Google Talk, MSN, and so on.Has this happened to anyone else? Why did this happen? Shouldn't backups also back up all the apps? What went wrong??
I just got the new BB9900...the apps are stored in 512 MB phone device space...how can i store in my 8 GB internal space memory????

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm currently using a 3GS and want to buy an iPhone 4 when it's released.
Thing is, I've got a shed load of apps on my 3GS, some which were expensive like Co-Pilot (£27), and a load of ebooks I bought through Kindle which I don't want to have to pay for again. Is there any way of transferring purchased apps from iphone to iphone without having to buy again?
Do I really need to reserve before it becomes an issue. I have a fair amount of free and paid apps, probably between 15-20. Right now, I am at 86 MB remaining. How low have some of you gotten before you notice any kind of problems? I have an 8GB SD card for pics, music, etc., so plenty of room there.
I'm a little surprised for as advanced as this device is that you only get 256MB of space (much less than that, really) for applications. Kinda reminds me of the problem the Nintendo Wii had, where they had an SD card slot, but you couldn't save and programs on it until they did a firmware update later on.
especially worried about losing paid for apps?????????

View 11 Replies View RelatedI'm new to the BlackBerry but had an iPaq years ago with no internet connection. All I had to do was install a new app from my PC to the phone. I can't seem to figure out how to do that on the BB.
I have a Bible software I want to add as well as a couple of games. What is an application loader file?I went to applications/import files and tried to add my Bible software but it rejects it saying "There was an error importing files."
I've been a BB fan for some years. I'm using now a BB Bold 9700 but I've recently experienced enormous performance problems and flaws on my BB, since I've upgraded to OS6. Mainly the issue appears to be on the Application Storage capabilities. It seems that the device only allows 250MB of application storage, being that the OS6 and some BB required software use the majority of it. I've around 8-10 apps which I've been using: Twitter, Facebook, Dropbox. ScoreMobile, GoogleMaps, Accuweather and a few others.
The application storage memory available is already below 2MB even after deleting all the not needed files, applications, language packs, etc. I've experienced that sometimes, when I reboot the system, there is an increase of space available but it keeps reducing after a few days without any further app installations. This problem affects the overall performance of the device. I've experienced three major things:
1. After being for sometime on stand-by, when I want to use the phone, the BB seems to freeze for about 30sec/1min before it reacts on my commands.
2. Very often, I wake up in the morning and the BB simply deleted all the emails in my inbox. IT appears to be a consequence of a low memory situation.
3. Even just using a few apps, I would like to install a bunch of new other stuff. Nevertheless I'm not able to do so as I do not have memory available for it.
Is there anyway to move the apps to the media file storage? How can I stop this?
I try to go onto the app world and it says "We cannot connect you to BlackBerry App World. ensure that your device is connected to the wireless network and try again." I also try to use other apps and things don't load at all. I am on T-Mobile pay as you go but I get free internet.
View 5 Replies View RelatedYou know how when you open an application, and just press the hangup / power key, it exits the application from the screen but it still keeps running in the background memory. I have noticed that such applications in the memory can drain the battery real quick. I was wondering if anyway on the phone you can check which applications are currently running in the background memory? If i can find that out, I can just exit all the apps and save my battery life. Let me know if anyone knows a way to do so.
