I got a BB Bold 9900 last night and can't download apps on it. I have tried everything, including uninstall/reinstall several times but I'm still getting the terms and conditions when I press 'download', when I accept these, nothing happens - it just goes back to the download page and the same happens again.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the new OS on my phone first. Once it was finished all of my icons went tiny and the menu button stopped working. My phone was pretty much useless. I "fixed" it by downloading the OS system again through the BB desktop manager. However, when my phone is turned off the icons go tiny and my menu button stops working again. To get the phone to work properly again I have to re-install the OS every time I turn the phone off.

Yep the "camera not working because there are to many apps running" problem......except there are no apps running, this is clearly a hardware issue.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a new BB 9900 Bold Touch and am slowly getting my way around it. I have all my pictures on in my picture library. I visited App World yesterday to download a few games, came out and thought I'd change my wallpaper picture on my phone. Went into 'picture library' and found just under 500 images that I never saved to my phone! Scrolling through them I recognised a few from the games I viewed and downloaded from App World. I deleted them all (took me near on an hour) went on there again today and a few are back again! It seems my phone is automatically saving images. How do I stop this happening? Is it some kind of setting I have to change?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just updated my 9900 to bundle 1672 from 14xx which came factory installed using the desktop manager. This resulted in the loss of ALL third party apps and some BB apps! Of course, as recommended I did a backup before the update and the desktop manager restored from the backup. Despite this, none of my apps followed.
Lost App World and the compass app. The compass app I can't find again. App World was an easy fix through BB's website. Once I got App World I could download all the apps I have bought from My World. However, some of them require registration (haven't heard back from these companies yet) and I lost all my entries and settings in these apps!
I lost all third party apps that came pre-installed that I haven't downloaded from App World, like Wikitude, Facebook, Google Talk, MSN, and so on.Has this happened to anyone else? Why did this happen? Shouldn't backups also back up all the apps? What went wrong??
I just got the new BB9900...the apps are stored in 512 MB phone device space...how can i store in my 8 GB internal space memory????

Just dropped off my new Bold 9000 and I feel like a kid at Christmas. The CS was right when she said it would be early this week. I am so looking forward to exploring everything about this device. I thinkg I will wait a little while befor I install OS 5.0. I am coming from a Curve 8310 so this device is bound to be a vast improvement. I want to download a couple of apps. that might be beneficial to me. I did try to download theweather eye beta from pelmorex, but I was unsuccessful on my curve. I have 3 mail accounts connected to my bb. Originally all posted to one folder messages folder in the message 'center' where all the sms etc go into (middle of the screen icon at the top) i am not sure what has started to happen but suddenly i then had 2 messages folders and now i have 3. They all go to the same place and sometimes contain the same message which just appears in all 3.
I think this started when i started configuring the sync of the deletion of the folders "folder reconciliation". how i can delete these additional folders as they are just a nuicense they mean very little as mail is randomly flowing into them.
I had recently downloaded and installed the new os 7.1.0.267 os from SK Telecom form the software download page of on blackberry site to my bold 9900. Upon doing that i was able to access the new mobile hot spot feature and even set it up for use after calling my service provider for the APN which is Lime Jamaica. I even tested it by using another phone which detected it. However sometime afterwards about 30 minutes to an hour later while listening to music my headset got pull out by mistake and upon putting it back in realized music wouldn't start playing back after pressing the side button. Unlocked the phone only to see the play icon highlighted in music player but nothing wouldn't register when clicked with trackpad or touch screen. plus got a message on the screen saying that device media player was busy, which continued for a while. Did a battery pull afterwards which fixed the problem. However a few hours later when i decided to show a friend the new feature and test it by connecting his phone, upon accessing the connections menu the mobile hot spot option was missing even in networks and connections. essentially it disappeared form the phone the only apps on the phone besides the default ones was wikitude and whatsapps. Even after a factory reset it didn't return. Did a clean wipe of the os and installed the os again upon which the hot spot option returned only to disappear again after about a few minutes at which time no extra apps was insatlled just the default ones. Have no idea whats causing this and whats worse the 7.1.0.267 download has been removed from the Sk Telecom link.
