I've got WiFi set up and it connects to network fine, but isn't dropping into to UMA at all.To be fair, it is brand new sim card and is network branded (round, colored fruity type) handset - so should support UMA.

Things like that. Is this an MSN issue or is it through the Blackberry network that there are connection issues.

It is notjust at my house, but anywhere I access a wifi signal. It will drop the signal, pick it up again and continue to drop it. I have tried doing a battery pull but that did not work. My wife's BB Curve is having no problems, nor is my Playbook.

Customer care fixes it until I get an app update and the phone has to reboot, it goes haywire again. Startin to annoy me, as I'm txtn ryt nw the bis signal has dropped.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy colleague and I both have Bold 9900's, one on Vodaphone and the other T-Mobile. Both of seem to be experiencing similar problems with the signal reception at different times and places. Whilst at home I can have a great signal of 3 or 4 bars but without moving the phone it will suddenly fluctuate and more often than not it will drop to zero and give the SOS display. I can then wait varying amounts of time for the signal to pick up again. I have the same problem in my office and in other areas so I am sure it's not the signal. My colleague has very similar problems and sometimes the signal does not recover in adequate time to make a call or send a message so we have to remove the battery before the phone signal recovers. I have also tested my wifes Blackberry Curve alongside mine and it is fine.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm on Tmobile's network and since I've had this bold which I bought the 1st week it was released has been dropping almost 3-4 calls a day. I've talked to tmobile's reps over 10 times now and we have reloaded all my software and am ready to give up on BB. This is my first BB, switched from iphone and I had never dropped 1 call on that phone.
Tmobile is suggesting that I trade in my phone, but the problem is I'm sure they will send me a refurb which I definitely do not want since I paid full price $485 for a new phone.
My 9900 keeps dropping network signal giving me a SOS or X.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs anyone else having problems with dropped calls when switching from UMA to 3G? Where I work I do not have a signal in the building, so I keep my WIFI on so I can both make and receive phone calls while inside.
The problem occurs when I'm on the phone and step outside. I lose my connection with the router, and instead of switching from UMA to 3G, my call is dropped, and it takes my phone about 10 seconds to find the 3G signal.I was hopping that upgrading the .442 would solve the problem, but it has not
Always maintained a very strong 3g signal, 5 bars always no matter where I was. The last 3 or 4 days my signal started dropping like crazy to EDGE - edge - to gps or whatever to no signal. Did everything to try and fix it. Called T-Mobile about the problem and they said no problem we are sending you a new 9700. I will have it Wednesday afternoon. I asked if it will be a new one or refurbished, she said a new one. You can't beat that with a stick. They have the best customer service out of all the carriers. Just wanted to tell my recent experience with my carrier.
View 11 Replies View RelatedIt's only been 1 month & I'm already on my 2nd Blackberry 9700 with Tmobile. I'm running v5.0.0.330. Since day one, I've experienced severe dropped calls that I've never experienced with Tmobile. Severe to the point that I can be on a 30 minute conversation & the call will drop at least twice. I was once on an hour long conversation that kept getting interrupted by 5 dropped calls.
Add to that, there's another Tmobile user in my household who uses the Google phone & no dropped calls at all, which tells me that it's not my coverage area that's causing the dropped calls.I'm also getting dropped calls when I'm speaking to different callers using different carriers & not just those with a specific service provider.
So, I'm convinced that it's the BB 9700 problem. It may even be that this 3G phone is in conflict with the stystems or non-3G users. Nevertheless, I'm so fed up and wanted to know if this is a problem that other BB 9700 users are experiencing. If so, who's your carrier? Has anyone upgraded your OS and if so, has it fixed the issue or have you experienced problems after the upgrade?
Got Bold 9780 on Orange UK Network it can not hold a call whilst wifi enabled on any wifi network Urgent as I have to return the phone tomorrow under warranty

View 7 Replies View RelatedLast few days (even before 4.4.4 update) my m8 data would drop on and off. Restarted and no use. Same. Cell signal is full bars but data would drop after being on for several minutes. It would drop for 2 minutes or so. Toggling data on and off or airplane mode is a temporary fix sometimes. Over the course of this post it has dropped 2x.

I would momentarily loose connection to my Pebble, a headset when using it or connection to my truck. At times I'm connected to my Pebble and truck at the same time and at other times I'm just connected to one device. I have an iphone 3gs running on ios 5.1.1. Everytime I connect it to wifi it drops it within a minute. (almost like there is a drop timer) I need to use wifi everyday so this is a big problem for me.

My xperia x10 keeps dropping the signal very frequently. It happens mostly within 3-4 seconds of picking a call. On the notification bar, the signal goes from full to zero, it shows the no sim card symbol for a moment, and then the signal reappears. Another problem is when I call someone, the screen goes blue. I can't cut the call or see whats happening, though the call does go through. I factory reset the phone, and then restored it back again. The problem went away for a day, but has started again now.

View 5 Replies View RelatedHad a Bold 9700 for around 5 months. Recently I've noticed that when using the internet, a majority of the time the page never loads, despite having full 3G signal and what not, just gets stuck on requesting and hangs.
Another thing is my BlackBerry service logo keeps disappearing randomly for anywhere between minutes and hours, meaning I get no BBM responses or anything. I get people who comment that BBM messages can take 20-30 minutes to be delivered to my phone and that. Most of the time, it takes for me to do something online to get these messages pushed through (they all then appear at once).
Three have had it in for repair, and to my disappointment swapped it over to a refurb handset with exactly the same problem. Apparently there's nothing wrong with my SIM card too.
I had an iphone 4 until July 2013 when I cahnged it to an iphone 5. The biggest regret of my life. Ever sinceĀ I keep missing out on work as the phone keeps dropping calls. I had the phone replaced twice but to no avail.
