Oct 18, 2011My Blackberry 9700 has suddenly stopped recognising saved contacts when I start to type a name in the 'To' line in emails. Works fine in SMS, just not emails.

Dec 4, 2010inserted sim card with all contacts messages etc from previous phone (Nokia 6233) and no trace of them on my contacts on the Elm (new, received today). Checked out support but no success - am sure this must be a simple problem to solve - anyone out there have the answer?

Jun 24, 2012My App World, doesnt allow me to log in on my phone having changed my password (even having changed it through the forgotten password link). Looking at my status my Blackberry Enterprise Server is not connected so i'm not sure if that is anything to do with it or not. I've even logged in to my account on the Blackberry website with my details and it allows me to log in, so not sure why it doesnt like it on the phone?

Jul 22, 2012I?ve been through every avenue possible but Kies still does not recognise my Galaxy S II when I try to upgrade the software.Checking the device manager in Win7 shows Galaxy usb device installed and functioning normally.Kies just runs and runs and in the end shows message device not found? Another problem is that during this installation process the firmware upgrade has encountered an issue and no longer reset back to the previous installation.I therefore only have two options on my mobile presently,the other one beeing the Odin mode showing the Android icon and ?Downloading? i.e. ready to receive the data.I have the latest .net Framework installed as well as the latest Kies software.Any other way to make the connection between Odin and my phone?

A friend suggested that it may just need updating, which made sense because I'd been getting update notifications, just hadn't got round to hooking my ohone up to my laptop. So I did just that and installed the 'companion' but when I try to update, it's asking me to insert a memory card. I've never taken it out! Not once. So i've turned the phone off and on again, as you do.

I am pretty IT savvy so I googled the heck out of the issue. Here are the things I have tried. I started by going into Settings > Storage > Applications and cleared Data/Cache of several contacts related apps.I disabled the Google + app completely.I disabled all contacts syncing of all accounts and re-enabled.I made sure all apps are fully updated, even though when the problem first started all apps were out of date. Additionally, firmware is fully updated.Finally, I held volume up, power, and home button and wiped android cache partition.

Mar 26, 2012I downloaded the new software for my iPhone 4S, it has stopped syncing my calendar and contacts with my home Outlook. Any new contacts or events I enter into Outlook won't show up on my phone and any new contacts or events I enter in my phone won't show up with Outlook. I use the USB port to sync every few days with my computer. Nothing has been erased, i.e. all my old events and contacts are still there, but nothing new will add. I have not changed any settings on my phone or on itunes, and I even turned off the overall calendar option and selected single calendars to try, but to no avail.

For some reason when I say "Call my wife" Siri can figure out who my wife is but cannot find the contact information and says there is no phone number listed for her. But when I look at my contacts myself I see the phone number right there. And, when I say "Who is my wife?" Siri then says that there are no contact details for my wife. Siri says my wife's name but no contact details! There ARE contact details though it is just that Siri cannot find them for some reason.Â
Why is this? I never changed anything on the phone in the last few days. It just suddenly stopped working.

The applications it refers to are often either My Verizon Mobile or Messaging. I believe it started when I updated. Is there a way to stop this? Also, my contacts were all deleted about an hour ago. Fortunately, most of them were recovered within about 15 minutes, but none of them have their corresponding pcitures, and my phone is not collecting contact information from Facebook as it used to. Also, when I view a certain contact, it becomes linked with my own information, even after unlinking and deleting my own contact. How can I fix this mess and retrieve contacts from facebook?

I have google sync on my phone, but that only messed up my contacts by dumping a bunch of duplicates into my BB contacts and it doesnt seem to reverse sync. Jan 11, 2012I bought my bold 9900 last november and back then I connected the phone to the computer and switch from the 9700 that i own previously. Since then I never connected the phone to the computer again until yesterday to update the software. In the middle of my first attempt to update there was a crash so I started again but for my surprise after de update has finished and i reinitiate the handset it seems that almost eveything was wiped out, I had to reinstal all the applications and when the phone was on it came the option the contacts from sim to be installed but then i have some contacts missing and part of the info of some of the ones that still there are also missing, the weird thing is the pictures that i had in the phone are all there.... DO you think theres anyway to get the contacts back? SHould I restore from the backup of the 9700 that i did when i bought the new phone?

Jun 21, 2012I recently updated my GS2 i9100 from GB to ICS (4.03) as provided by my carrier (Bell). I am able to pair the phone and media audio with my car stereo (Hyundai Sonata) however I get the message "Unfortunately bluetooth share has stopped" every time it tries to download my contacts to the car. This appears after a minute or so. This was not an issue with GB as it downloaded seamlessly and I was able to use the built in voice calling feature of my car with no problems.The first time the download was tried, the phone rebooted. Since then I have removed the pairing from the phone and car and started over, as well as removed all synced accounts from my contacts except those actually on the phone. Still no luck.
