I am presently on BB software version 7.0 Bundle 2395. The Desktop software says update available (7.1 bundle 1646 - v7.1.0.523 platform 5.1.0.393). Everytime I download the software up to module 757 of 1060 it says it has an error and cannot update it any further. Is there a way to resolve this?
View 1 Replieslast month i started recieving an error on the phone which keeps saying initialization failed and this prevents me from making calls and it doesnt even load up my simcard...tried my simcard in other phones and it works perfectly..i have tried a couple of sim card in the phone and i still get the same error..and even without a simcard in the phone it still displays the error of initialization failed..i have tried many tips as advised onlike like reloading the software version and all but i still get the same error.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently moved to Michigan from California, and the time settings on my blackberry automatically changed to Eastern Time (-5). However, whenever I receive an SMS (no problems with BBM/MMS), the timestamp for the received SMS in the conversation is 3 hours earlier than the actual/device time. This is a problem only inside the conversation; when I go back to the main Messages or SMS folder, the timestamp of the last received/sent message next to the contact's name is correct. Is there any way to fix this aside from doing a complete wipe? I tried rebooting and manually changing the date/time; didn't help.

I did a normal backup and just before it finished, a message came up saying the DM could not backup one Theme. I clicked OK and then it comes up with another message and it says Backup completed ... click OK .So is it just one theme that's odd and not being backed up? (which I don't mind) With (hopefully) the rest of my stuff backed up as usual.

I continuously receive an error stating the following:

We went to Walnut Creek Store to take a look at our freezing iphone. They restored it and said when we plug it in select Set up new phone, the problem is when we plugged it in we did not get any notification stating that it was a "new" phone. I then tried to restore it myself using itunes and partially through the process I get a dialog error saying, Iphone "Iphone" could not be restored. An Unknown error occurred(14). The only thing we get on it now is the plug into Itunes picture on the front but when we plug it into itunes we cant do anything.

However, it takes me back to the backup your data screen at 0%. Then an application permerssion notice comes up with Allow or Deny. I try to click either one and it freezes and goes back to the App Error 603 notice.

"An error has occured while downloading software for your device. Please verify your internet connection or try again later, if the problem persists."
My laptop was definitely connected to the internet because I was browsing while trying to update. The Desktop Manager itself recognises that it is connected to the internet, because it scanned for updates for itself on the internet and updated succefully. But when it came to downloading updates for my blackberry handset. It became oblivion to the fact that it was connected to the internet and kept giving me this senseless error report!
My 9700 bold was working pretty slow so I plugged it into my boyfriend's PC and checked for a software update, there was one so I installed it. Everything went fine, this time the update didn't crash my blackberry like it had with my previous Blackberry Curve.I've noticed though that my calendar is no longer working properly. I now have TWO notifications of the same reminder/appointment instead of one even though I've only entered one reminder/appointment. Instead of having one calendar alert box, it says there's two. I normally just hit dismiss, which dismisses both notifications but this morning I just hit "snooze" when I did that, the second notification popped up the SAME notification I had just snoozed for 5minutes.How do I change this? It's not a huge problem, just a little annoying and I'm worried the glitch will cause problems down the road.This is my 3rd Blackberry in ONE year as it is..I need this to work properly. I can't afford to go out and buy ANOTHER Blackberry.This one already crashed when I originally installed the Twitter app from RIM, a month after I bought it!
Also after the update, does anyone else's top shortcuts that used to be "keylock" and "silent mode" now only have keylock(which no longer turns the screen on with your owner info) and the other shortcut is totally blank. Is there a way to change this? I liked having the keylock on but being able to bring the screen up to see if I have messages.Plus, I no longer hear my phone ring if it's in Locked mode..which is a pain in the **bleep**.

Did a software update this morning on my Bold 9900. When I went to Sync, I received a Synchronization Error message as it was synching the calendar. There was no number only an appointment date and event which does not exist in either Outlook 2010 or the Blackberry calendar. Upon receiving the error message, the synch stops. I did a replace all calendar events from the computer to the device, which went fine. But the problem was not resolved. I deleted all calendar events from the device, then did a replace all calendar events from the computer to the device, but that did not solve the problem.

And it has been a disaster since I received the update thru the Update Software Section on my phone but since then is has only gotten to 3% of the backup.
