Using a Bold 9780 with just Hotmail account linked.How can I create a new icon just for the email messages alone to appear in ? On a previous Bold 9700, I have both Yahoo and Hotmail accounts enabled, and had separate Icons for each of these mail boxes. Can it be done?
View 4 RepliesAm back again with another query. I'd like to create new sub-folders inside the inbox (of text messgaes/emails/bbm), so as to file my messages/emails in these sub folders. Unfortunately (for me!) I'm unable to create these sub-folders, in the Inbox of my BB Bold 9780. Is there anyway I can do this? Or are you planning to upgrade the OS 6 to incorporate this?

Now all of a sudden, when i switch the phone on, java script error msg's appear, also which is most frustrating,, my inbox icon has disappeared & i cant send or receive messages. I've even taken it to an o2 guru, they were baffled an hadnt seen it before.

The problem is that the emails go straight to my general "Messages" inbox, but nothing shows up in my Gmail account inbox when i click on that specific icon. I do have SMS/MMS broken out into a separate inbox, but i'd like to use the gmail inbox where it threads messages with the same topic instead of the general messages inbox.tried resending service books.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just bought new Black Berry Bold 9930, and all of may data already transferred from my old Black Berry 9000, such as contacts, BBM contacts, memo, etc. Before I backup the I've travelling to Singapore and I used local SIM card. And the device recognized the new SIM card inserted and asked me to confirm the Black Berry ID that was created before. But the password is invalid, I tried so many times and still password invalid, and then suggest to be created new Black Berry ID, and I did it. After that all of my data were wiped and I can't use it anymore. So, how can I restore all of my data such as contacts, BBM contacts, memo, etc?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just bought a Nokia 5800 handset recently. It seems to me that even though I actually saved a contact's number in my phone, when he messages me the phone inbox only shows his number and not his name, even though I already saved his number under my phonebook.
Is there anyway to solve this such that it'll display his name instead? Its kind of pointless if I have to keep checking back to my phonebook to see who has messaged me, since I don't remember my friend's numbers and stuff.
On a note I saved all of my friend's number without the region number. That is as im living in Singapore, a contact's number would be saved as follows: 91234567 without the region code of +65. Thing is in my inbox all the phone number displayed shows the region code of +65 along with the number, but seriously even my super old phone can recognise that both 91234567 and +6591234567 are of the same person and displays the name correctly in the inbox.
I don't know why this happened, I woke up this morning and it was like this. Whenever I try to open my email inbox the SMS inbox opens. Even if I go directly to my individual accounts on my BB (yahoo and gmail) and try to open them directly, it still opens my SMS inbox. I can't figure this out and can't find an answer. I have to check all my emails my going onto a computer. I still get notifications of new emails on my BB, but can't view them because only the SMS inbox will come up. I need my email inbox to show when I click on my email inbox.

I cannot get the phone to show me the correct number of messages. Apart from this problem all email related things are working correctly.

In the last day or so have I experienced a problem where by I get a new email notification icon, but no new email in my inbox. At first I suspected it was the Android theme I have running, but when I went to use a different them I was getting the same result everytime.

However, the count for my Inbox displayed at the top of my screen ALWAYS indicates ONE email received, even though I've deleted all emails.Only once did the count go to zero, but I can't figure out why it did, because I deleted mail the way I always do, but a couple days later, it went back to maintaining ONE in my Inbox.What do I do? Besides ignoring it, which is what I've been doing.

I had the same problem with the Curve and I somehow fixed it, but I can't remember how. I do not have the sent messages hidden either.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIf I receive a message (SMS for example) then press back to read another SMS from a different contact, and then try to reply to the second message I read for some reason my 9700 sets up a reply for the message of the first sender and not the second sender. This is a recent problem and can not seem to figure out why it is doing this.This best way to describe what it is doing is "lagging".Also, sometime when I select "katie" in my phone it will randomly call "nancy".This happens multiple times in a row.

It's one thing that drives me nuts because the OS interface is placing an SMS notifier saying I have a new one, I see that I have one new message, I hover over the SMS icon on the home screen and it has a prefix (1). I deleted ALL sms msgs and it's still telling me I have one. What do I do? This happened after I did a backup and restore. Maybe because I had an unread SMS before restoring data from my old 8330?

I have a bold 9000 v.6.0.282. I am with Rogers. This may seem like a simple thing but it is driving me crazy. I cannot figure it out. I simply cannot delete 2 SMS messages from my Blackberry Bold. What did I press or not press? I have deleted them from saved messages etc. but they will delete from the inbox. Also, incoming SMS messages appear at the bottom of the screen under the date of the un-delete-able messages, and those un-delete-able messages appear under today's date.

The notifications box is checked off, but often the notificatons do not arrive until after I have gone into the Facebook Application, and physically hit "notifications". Suddenly my phone dings to say I someone wrote on my wall, etc.
In the past week, the messages in my inbox will not refresh. On my computer I know that i have about 4 new messages, but the last message I can see is from a couple days before my newest messages. Why can't I see them?? I don't want to have to turn on a computer everytime I want to read my inbox messages.

View 2 Replies View RelatedScenario 1: When I receive an email in gmail and I access it on blackberry it becomes unread on blackberry and when I view it on a normal desktop pc internet explorer browser.
Scenario 2: When I do the same from another blackberry the email in the inbox of blackberry becomes unread and and the email in the inbox viewed on a desktop pc DOES NOT become unread.Why the difference and how can I get the second scenario to work for my first blackberry mentioned in Scenario 1.
