i have set up rules on my outlook and they are not work on blackberry bold 9000.only the inbox gets updated.i am not sure if i need to enable any options on blackberry or something on outlook.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a bold 9000 v.6.0.282. I am with Rogers. This may seem like a simple thing but it is driving me crazy. I cannot figure it out. I simply cannot delete 2 SMS messages from my Blackberry Bold. What did I press or not press? I have deleted them from saved messages etc. but they will delete from the inbox. Also, incoming SMS messages appear at the bottom of the screen under the date of the un-delete-able messages, and those un-delete-able messages appear under today's date.

View 2 Replies View RelatedYesterday I got my first Blackberry. The Battery is still half full, but I need a USB modem tethering connection nearly every day for the next few weeks. That means I don't really have chance to run my battery dead in order to treat it right and get the best condition out of it. Is there any chance to disable the charging function in the desktop manager software, or enabling the tethering fuction over Bluetooth? Or is there no need to worry about the battery, when you charge it?

The problem is that the emails go straight to my general "Messages" inbox, but nothing shows up in my Gmail account inbox when i click on that specific icon. I do have SMS/MMS broken out into a separate inbox, but i'd like to use the gmail inbox where it threads messages with the same topic instead of the general messages inbox.tried resending service books.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have had my terminal repaired recently, and synchronised the phone to my PC to repopulate the contacts, addresses, calendar etc. All OK so far BUT....somehwere I must have changed the email account (I have two) from the company account to a hotmail account. Now when I try to sync to the PC I get a message that the default service has changed from address book to the hotmail address. I can't find anywhere to change this back to the original address book/company email address.

All other parts seem to synchronise OK.I have done quite a bit of trouble shooting but have so far been unable to resolve and therefore need some help.Note during the synchronisation process, it never gives a dialogue box to say synchronisation complete and I am not sure if that is because something is going wrong or it always done that.The version of Blackberry desktop manager is the latest 5.0.1 and the.Anyway, I have for example tried creating a new profile in Outlook and set the synchronisation to sync with that.
I get the same results. None of the calendar entries appear in the Outlook calendar.Also note I did try and check the logs as explained at the following link but did not really get the same results. I did delete a calendar entry that I found but it did not seem to resolve the problem.Please advise me on the best steps to trouble shoot this problem.Obvious things such as restarting the PC and restarting the blackberry have been tried.
Quick question. I am starting a new Job and they are getting me a superbasic Perl. I need this for work and so I will be forking some dough out of my pocket to get one of the two following phones: Bold 9000 (I'll pay 100$ Canadian, not Us) Curve 8530 (pay 24.99$ Canadian). I am very used to the Iphone and HTC Touch Pro 2 (not trying to start a flaming/argument/anything else , its just what i'm used to). I am very used to browsing with the other phones and I have heard that BB phones are not up to par, so my expectations will be low. Out of the two phones however, does one perform better than the other (Curve 8530 vs Bold 9000)? Out of the two phones, which one do you recommend overall. I have read that the Bold 9000 even though it is older, it still outperforms the 8530...

The device still works, but two thirds of the LCD is now white and there's what looks like an inkblot on the left side of the screen. I'd like to try to fix it, but don't really want to shell out a lot of $ to do so --- I'm a month away from upgrading.Does anyone have any suggestions, or perhaps a dead BlackBerry with a working screen that you're willing to part with? A DIY repair -- this is out of warranty anyway -- looks straightforward, but I'm not sure I want to spend the $100 or so for a new OEM part to replace the LCD screen.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently travelled to Melbourne from Perth with my fancy new N97, after successfully syncing my Outlook calendar etc from my laptop to the N97 using Ovi Suite (which I agree is not as good as the old PC Suite). Time zone change has caused me a few problems, as the automatic update of the time when I arrived in Melbourne didn't take daylight saving into account, so the alarm went off an hour late etc, and so I had to manually adjust the clock. Funny that now the world clock on my phone is out by an hour now that I have arrived back in Perth. So predictably, the calendar entries now that I'm back in Perth are an hour out.
Any easy ways of updating the world clock settings so that Perth (GMT+8hrs) actually reflects what the time is so that the calendar will sync? At the moment the N97's world clock states that Perth time is 0553hrs, but the time is actually 0653hrs. If I ask the phone to change to Perth as the current location, it asks whether to change phone time to match local time in selected location, which means that the clock continues to show the correct time, despite the world clock being incorrect. I think this is the problem anyway. Thoughts?
On my iPhone, I see all the spam that the rules on my Macs get rid of. The spam does not disappear from my phone until I check mail on my Mac. I am using iCloud. Can my Mail rules be synched to my iPhone too?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a bold 9000 and I can not connect to the internet. Carrier is AT&T and I live in the North East (NYC area). Worked fine up until yesterday (Jan 25). Now gmail, facebook, browser - none work. I've tried the battery pull, turning on/off the network, run a diagnostic test from mobile network options. In the mobile network test i get the volling anomolies "Blackberry PIN-PIN: No" and it says can't connect to my email (gmail).
View 5 Replies View RelatedA few days ago I pulled my phone out of the holster and It was really hot and when i looked at it i realized it was off, and wouldnt turn back on. just a red light comes on like normal upon a battery pull but after it turns off the red light comes back on again once more then stays off for good. unless i plug it in then it comes on and goes off all the time. I got it powered back up yesterday but then it did it again. Today I plugged it in and I saw a picture of a battery come up on the screen showing it as empty, i was hoping that meant it might charge up. but no such luck. My main objective is just to get the phone up long enough to back up the info on the phone.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI don't have a BES account but trying to think of a way to have BB sent mails show up in my Outlook Sent box. Could one setup an address as say, BBsentmail@****. com, send a BCC's to that address from the BB and set up an Outlook rule to direct all emails containing BBsent@****.com to the Sent folder? What if something is sent from Outlook? I guess one could send a BCC to himself but it would end up in the Blackberry's Inbox and not sent box. Can rules/filters be applied in Blackberry's email client (I haven't set mine up yet)?
On a similar note, if the Blackberry server pushes the email to my blackberry before Outlook has a chanse to receive it, will Outlook still download it? Does BB leave a copy on the server? Also, I still have a ton of emails on my server because Outlook is already set to leave a copy on the server. If I don't delete these, BB will download all of them, correct?
I've just bought a Nokia 5800 handset recently. It seems to me that even though I actually saved a contact's number in my phone, when he messages me the phone inbox only shows his number and not his name, even though I already saved his number under my phonebook.
Is there anyway to solve this such that it'll display his name instead? Its kind of pointless if I have to keep checking back to my phonebook to see who has messaged me, since I don't remember my friend's numbers and stuff.
On a note I saved all of my friend's number without the region number. That is as im living in Singapore, a contact's number would be saved as follows: 91234567 without the region code of +65. Thing is in my inbox all the phone number displayed shows the region code of +65 along with the number, but seriously even my super old phone can recognise that both 91234567 and +6591234567 are of the same person and displays the name correctly in the inbox.
I don't know why this happened, I woke up this morning and it was like this. Whenever I try to open my email inbox the SMS inbox opens. Even if I go directly to my individual accounts on my BB (yahoo and gmail) and try to open them directly, it still opens my SMS inbox. I can't figure this out and can't find an answer. I have to check all my emails my going onto a computer. I still get notifications of new emails on my BB, but can't view them because only the SMS inbox will come up. I need my email inbox to show when I click on my email inbox.

I cannot get the phone to show me the correct number of messages. Apart from this problem all email related things are working correctly.

I was just wondering. As it turns out that the 9700 and 9000 share the same type of battery, so how is it that the bold has a far superior battery life over the 9000? Some have reported that the 9700 can hold charge upto 2 days even after heavy usage. So i was wondering are the batteries really identical in every way as claimed? and if they arent is it possible to swap the battery of my 9000 and expect a longer battery life? coz the one im having right now only seem to hold charge for about 15hours with fair usage on a 5.0 OS Zain Kuwait.

However, the count for my Inbox displayed at the top of my screen ALWAYS indicates ONE email received, even though I've deleted all emails.Only once did the count go to zero, but I can't figure out why it did, because I deleted mail the way I always do, but a couple days later, it went back to maintaining ONE in my Inbox.What do I do? Besides ignoring it, which is what I've been doing.
