On my iPhone, I see all the spam that the rules on my Macs get rid of. The spam does not disappear from my phone until I check mail on my Mac. I am using iCloud. Can my Mail rules be synched to my iPhone too?
Everything worked well for over half a year until last Thursday.I sync my contacts, email and calendar with my Google Account via Mail for Exchange protocol. Contacts, calendar and email sync stopped working on Thursday. Manual sync does not work. I set up my Mail for Exchange mailbox again, reinstalled phone software.
Yesterday I got my first Blackberry. The Battery is still half full, but I need a USB modem tethering connection nearly every day for the next few weeks. That means I don't really have chance to run my battery dead in order to treat it right and get the best condition out of it. Is there any chance to disable the charging function in the desktop manager software, or enabling the tethering fuction over Bluetooth? Or is there no need to worry about the battery, when you charge it?
i have set up rules on my outlook and they are not work on blackberry bold 9000.only the inbox gets updated.i am not sure if i need to enable any options on blackberry or something on outlook.
I don't have a BES account but trying to think of a way to have BB sent mails show up in my Outlook Sent box. Could one setup an address as say, BBsentmail@****. com, send a BCC's to that address from the BB and set up an Outlook rule to direct all emails containing BBsent@****.com to the Sent folder? What if something is sent from Outlook? I guess one could send a BCC to himself but it would end up in the Blackberry's Inbox and not sent box. Can rules/filters be applied in Blackberry's email client (I haven't set mine up yet)?
On a similar note, if the Blackberry server pushes the email to my blackberry before Outlook has a chanse to receive it, will Outlook still download it? Does BB leave a copy on the server? Also, I still have a ton of emails on my server because Outlook is already set to leave a copy on the server. If I don't delete these, BB will download all of them, correct?
I have a POP email account through GoDaddy and set up the account on my iPhone as well as on my MacBook under Mail. When I delete messages on from my inbox on my phone, and then I go open my mail on my macbook, the messages aren't deleted. How can I sync the macbook mail and the iPhone mail so that when I delete it off one device, it is deleted off the other as well?
In the last few days my iPhone has stopped syncing with iCloud mail. I do get new mail, but mail that I've deleted on my Mac or iPad does not get deleted from the Inbox on my iPhone.Â
Messages that I have read and deleted on my Mac or iPad still show up in the iPhone Inbox and are flagged as "unread". The only way to get rid of them is to delete them, one-by-one.Â
Here's what I've tried:Â Reset the iPhoneDisable and then re-enable iCloud MailVerified that the iCloud Mail settings on the iPhone are identical with the settings on my iPad.Â
Oddly, messages that have been deleted from the Inbox on my Mac or iPad show up in both the Trash mailbox and the Inbox on my iPhone. Yes, they show up twice; once as being read and sent to the Trash and once as being unread and still in the Inbox.
How do I sync older Apple messages to my iphone? I dont want ALL of my old emails, just say 6 months back. My pop mail in Iphone only sync ones from the last 1 month. Unlike gmail, this email doesnt have mail, calendar and notes on/off buttons, and no archive button either. I ve tried: Deleting the account and adding it again...didnt work.Change the account setting from pop to imap...it keeps verifying until i have to restart my iphone. To sync it over Itunes (but it did say that it only sync the settings and not the messages )Even creating an Icloud account...
In my phone, my contacts automatically sync with my primary e-mail account, a gmail account. I would like to undo this and instead sync them with Facebook. When I say this, what I mean is that I want my Facebook friends to be automatically added to my contacts.
I recently changed 'Mail Days to Sync' to 'No Limit', but the main screen Mail Icon displays 1,152 e-mails (i.e., my entire Inbox). How to I stop this number being displayed?
I have with Mail syncing. I searched this forum and looked through dozens of topics, but none seemed to quite fit my circumstances. What I do is, if I get an email on my iPhone while I'm away from home and my wireless network, I read and answer it with the iPhone. Then when I get home, I open Mail on my laptop and it "gets" the same email, marked as unread with no record of a reply. Perfectly natural. Then I plug in my iPhone and it syncs - I do specifically see the "Syncing Mail accounts" portion on iTunes - but the emails on my laptop remain unread and the reply email does not appear in the sent mail folder. That hardly seems synced to me, and I'm not sure what's causing the problem.
I am tired of forgetting to erase emails on my phone for hours if I leave it sit for a week or so without checking. how do I make it so when I delete the mail in my mail on my iMac, that my phone inbox reflects that?there is no way to mass delete the email on your phone so what the heck?
Using Lion, I recently dropped Outlook 2011 in favor of Mail (did not uninstall though, do not want to).My problem is this, iTunes and iPhone won't sync with Address Book, they remain stuck on syncing with the Outlook address book. The issue is only for the address book, the iPhone syncs fine with iCal for some reason.
I am trying to connect my exchange email to my iPhone without using active sync. I am able to connect it to the Mac mail program on my MacBook pro with out ay issues. Can this be done on the iPhone? Please instruct.
With my iPhone 4, running iOS 5.1.1, syncing notes in Mail results in a stange blank Notes document appearing in the Notes sidebar in Mail. The Notes look like a yellow sheet of ruled paper, as they do on my iPhone, but they open to reveal no information other than their names.
Once opened, they disappear from my list of Notes, and upon the next sync via USB cable from my iPhone to my Mac, the notes also disapepar from the phone. When opened in Mail, the blank and useless no-longer-a-note Notes will not close unles I quit Mail. I am running Snow Leopard 10.6.8. In Mail, I've tried both listing the Notes in the Inbox, and as their own separate group. Info: iPhone 4, iOS 5.1.1, 2 x 3 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon Twer
I've tried playing around with the settings but I just can't get the mail app to sync in the background. No matter what I set the sync interval too I'll open the app up after a couple of days and have emails download onto the phone which I missed as I was never notified.
Using the mail app for POP3 email, the phone won't sync on data but does sync on wifi. On data, it says that a connection is unavailable, however other apps that use the internet and data do work. It used to work, but has stopped. I'm sure I'm missing something simple.
How to set the settings. On my S4, all I had to do was touch the little circular "Sync" icon. I have no such icon on my S6, so must wait for the next scheduled sync, I set it to 15 minutes. It does have a setting to set it to "Manual Sync" only, but I can't find a button or icon to do a manual sync.
My work email, microsoft outlook, has an activsync function and webmail but ni pop pr imap account. And I can´t manage to regsiter the account. It works on every single phone I've had the last years so i'm suprised blackberry, supposedly master of email cant handle it.
In my nokia e72-1 model, with firmware version 091.003 and mail for exchange Buld: 3.00.000,When I add mail box, it is getting added properly and even conects to the exchange server, but it does not download any mail to the mobile.
