I would like to get an help on secondhand Blackberry Bold 9700 hand set thatI purchased, while i tired to enable Blackbery service on this handset fromtwo different service provider I came to know that this is blocked handsetfrom RIM. Is there anyway that can get unblocked from RIM to use BB service.
View 1 RepliesMy handset has been blocked to o2 despite having asked for a PUC code. I have attempted to take it to phone shops to unblock the handset but it seems to be completely locked onto o2.I have transferred the number to Tmobile. However, both the sim cards cannot be read by the handset.
View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently I have been getting a problem with my 9700 Blackberry. When I make or receive calls, I can not hear anything out of my handset. The person on the other line can hear fine (Usually with me going Hello Hello a million times!) The only time I can hear anything is when I have my bluetooth on or switching it to speakerphone.
I tried doing the soft reset (battery pull when the phone was still on) ...still nothing. Although it did work a couple of times. Its on and off, but recently the situation has gone from bad to worse.Anyone out there with the 9700 with the same issue? It's really annoying and I do use the phone a lot for important calls.
I have got a used BB Bold 9780 and have also created my BB id but when I am trying to login with my BB id my handset is not accepting my id as it has been locked by previous users BB id and the previos user is not traceable how can I get this fixed. Can i get the old id unmapped/deleted if yes how.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have BB 9900 and my stupid friend while trying to unlock the phone put wrong codes 10 times and now if i go to settings/simcard and type MEPD it shows Sim disabled but Network Blocked. I couldn't enter MEP2 i tried also put not supported Sim card and prompt after it boots that if i wish to unlock the device when i choose YES it seems nothing happen i cant enter the codes.. even the carrier of the device it shows invalid Sim.I did tried the followingtype MEP2 NO LUCK type (alt) MEPE no luck
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a problem (and so do all my colleagues) with BB Bold 9780.When someone, who's phone # and the name etc is stored in my Address book calls me and my device is locked (it gets locked if not in use for 10 minutes) what I see on the screen is the phone # of the caller, but no name. If device is not locked - the name of a caller appears along with the #.This is very uncomfortable, because I do not remember the # of all the people in my address book, so when there is no name - I don't know who is calling.

View 1 Replies View RelatedEvery time I try to call a number (LAN LINE) that has a block on unidentified callers, I get the message "The number you are calling does not accept unidentified calls please enter your 10 digit phone number" The funny thing is that this problem just started to happen. A week ago it was fine. When I do call a number that is not blocked, my number comes up correctly on the caller ID but shows as unidentified. Sometimes, it shows up as international.Now, funny thing is that if I put my SIM in my Pearl, I can make calls no problem. There are two settings on the Bold under general options. One is called "Restrict My Identity" In this case, I have have it set to NEVER. I have also tried NETWORK DETERMINED, but neither of them make difference. The other setting is called "Show My Number" and this is set to YES.I have talked to AT&T until I am blue in the face. They say it is a problem with the phone and that it needs to be replaced. I hardly believe that. I have a friend with the same phone and it has the same problem.I did see some threads on this before in other forums, but never did see an answer to the problem.Finding a solution would be very nice.Already tried doing a factory reset and a security wipe on the phone.

I would love some feedback.. By the way i dont have any Wi-Fi, i want to use 3G.. there is a 3G symbol in the top right so it should fail connecting to Wi-Fi and go 3G?
I have had my BB Bold 9700 for about six months and love it for the most part.Just recently, the trackpad stopped being responsive as far as being able to move the selector bracket (cursor?) around to select an icon for a program or even move the cursor within any program.At first, waiting a little bit would help.Then turning it off and on with the red key worked.When that stopped working, I did a battery pull and it worked a few times.Then when that stopped working, I did a battery pull and held the escape key (the arrow that does the uturn right?) which I understand from the threads that I have read is BB safe mode.This did not help.Now it is frozen and I cannot get it unfrozen.The last thing I did was load a game (Final Fantasy), but I have been playing that for over a week with no problem then, out of the blue, this problem started yesterday.

I get the password prompt but upon entering the password it just goes back to the locked screen with the padlock.Using Alt + Back button I can scroll through a number of open apps but can not open or close them it, then freezes and displays a white screen until I pull the battery.
Numerous battery pulls later and still no joy.The only change on my device yesterday was a number of failed attempts to download Docs to Go ver 2.0 from the App World yesterday. My BB does a scheduled battery pull each night at 2am and the phone has been like that since the last scheduled pull (forget the name of the app).
Edit to highlight - I know the password is working as it re-prompts if I type it in incorrectly on purpose and after 2 attempts asks me to type in Blackberry.
Would be interested in your comments on the voice quality (call clarity, etc) of the BB Bold 9650...both in the ear speaker and to those with whom you are talking. I had heard that the voice quality was not so good on the prior Tour model and also found this to be true on an in-store test at Verizon. Would like to know your thoughts about how it is on the newer model Bold 9650.

The phone is unlocked and reads the T-mobile SIM card, however I am having no luck at all with email and data facilities on the Blackberry.I have contacted T-Mobile and they have attemepted to send the service books to me however they are not reaching me. They have been through a whole host of procedures to try and get the problem sorted including doing a security wipe and also restoring the email accounts, I have tried to send the service books to myself through the BIS website as well.
It seems odd that I can not connect to the Blackberry Wireless Network because I my device pin is recognised on the T-Mobile website. I have tried to register the device using Host Routing Table but still no joy.If you have any clue as to why I can not access data services then I would really appreciate some help. I do have my data plan enabled, I know sometimes this can be a reason why people have this problem.
My bb 9700 isn't showing my messages. I've tried changing the settings in my SMS inbox to show both messages and emails,but that doesn't work.

I just got a replacement BB Bold b/c my old one died. I have my work email on my BB which is on an exchange server, that works no problem. I used to also have my personal POP account on my device as well. When I configured my new phone and put in my old SIM card into my new phone my POP account icon appeared on my phone. However my device is not recieving any of my POP account messages. I tried deleting the POP account through "settings" and "email settings" but the icon still appears on my device.I initally deleted my POP and added it again anyway and it still does not work, any suggestions?

I always delete from handheld and computer, but don't know why it keeps appearing. It happens atleast 3 times a day. Gets a little annoying.
