I have a problem (and so do all my colleagues) with BB Bold 9780.When someone, who's phone # and the name etc is stored in my Address book calls me and my device is locked (it gets locked if not in use for 10 minutes) what I see on the screen is the phone # of the caller, but no name. If device is not locked - the name of a caller appears along with the #.This is very uncomfortable, because I do not remember the # of all the people in my address book, so when there is no name - I don't know who is calling.
Hi,I have an issue with my 9900 as it reads invalid sim and the network status is blocked.I had a relation residing in the USA buy it for me.it's a branded T mobile phone which she supposedly paid for the unlock and apparently she had exceeded the number of unlock code trials with a wrong unlock code.
Every time I try to call a number (LAN LINE) that has a block on unidentified callers, I get the message "The number you are calling does not accept unidentified calls please enter your 10 digit phone number" The funny thing is that this problem just started to happen. A week ago it was fine. When I do call a number that is not blocked, my number comes up correctly on the caller ID but shows as unidentified. Sometimes, it shows up as international. Now, funny thing is that if I put my SIM in my Pearl, I can make calls no problem. There are two settings on the Bold under general options. One is called "Restrict My Identity" In this case, I have have it set to NEVER. I have also tried NETWORK DETERMINED, but neither of them make difference. The other setting is called "Show My Number" and this is set to YES.I have talked to AT&T until I am blue in the face. They say it is a problem with the phone and that it needs to be replaced. I hardly believe that. I have a friend with the same phone and it has the same problem.I did see some threads on this before in other forums, but never did see an answer to the problem.Finding a solution would be very nice.Already tried doing a factory reset and a security wipe on the phone.
I upgraded to a new Bold 9900 in November with T-Mobile, and went to Dubai for winter vacation in late December. I frequently visit there and have a local SIM card, and previously I used an unlock code from the internet to unlock my old Bold 9700 so that it accepts the Dubai SIM card (and for the past year and a half I been using this unlocked Bold). I tried doing the same thing like I had done before this time around with my new Bold 9900, but like an **bleep** that I am, I used up all ten MEP code tries with the device, and now the phone network is blocked. Every time I put in either the Dubai or T-Mobile USA SIM card, it says on the top "Invalid SIM Card". Also after rebooting, it always asks me that I need an unlock code to unlock the card, but when clicking "yes", it just does not do anything, same thing goes with clicking "no." Now that I am back in the US again, the US T-Mobile SIM card still does not work with the phone. If anyone knows what the right procedures are to go about getting my blackberry working again and getting the network block to go away so I can start using my T-Mobile SIM Card?when I go to the SIM Card settings on the device, it reads: SIM: Disabled Network: Blocked Network Subset: Disabled Service Provider: Disabled Corporate: Disabled Once again?
My friend wants to upgrade his phone from 9000 to bold 9700. With his current 9000 hes got a lot of BBM contacts so he is asking if he upgrade his phone his PIN will also be change?
I own a X7 from several weeks ago, and recently began to suffer this malfunction:
when trying to write an e-mail or reply a message, the QWERTY appears on screen but doesn't react. The screen reacts normally for any other option (the option keys, by the way), but there's no way to type a word. additional to this malfunction (when it happenede), the temperature appears to increase also. the rear side of my phone was hot as if I had left it under the sun.
the only way to "fix it up", by now, has been to shut down and start again my phone.
I bought a BB 8320 on ebay and I want to know if its able to contract the data plan. I used it to make calls and send SMS but never used the data plan and I want to sell it. I would like to know it in order not to defraud the buyer.
Get this every time I go into the sign in options. I put my pin in to unlock it but then get blocked again I'd I try to use hello again. Windows hello hadn't worked in the 8 days I've had the phone.

My handset has been blocked to o2 despite having asked for a PUC code. I have attempted to take it to phone shops to unblock the handset but it seems to be completely locked onto o2.I have transferred the number to Tmobile. However, both the sim cards cannot be read by the handset.
My wife's 2009 Mariner Sync system worked great with her Nokia 5130. She is on AT&T, and just upgraded phones to a Nokia E63 and after successfully pairing with the Sync system, the phone will not accept calls or allow outgoing calls. The phone displays this message: "Call Not Allowed". Calling and receiving remains blocked with the same message even after walking out of range of the Mariner until she reboots the E63. The phone works normally until it connects to the Sync and the blocking starts again. The E63 can be linked by Bluetooth to our home computers without a problem. AT&T says the SIM card is fine and advised me to check with Nokia and Ford about a fix. That is why I am posting here. I already contacted SyncMyRide (Ford's customer support service for Sync) and worked with a service rep on the problem. After going through a lot of Q&A which included resetting Sync and clearing Bluetooth cache on the phone, he told me to install Sync V1.3 (was at V1.1). After installing the latest Sync update, and pairing the E63 again, nothing changed. The problem still exists. My wife is about to turn off Sync's Bluetooth.Does anybody have a clue whether or not this phone (and any other E series Nokia running the same OS) will function properly with Sync?
Yesterday I downloaded the 'crunchSMS' app, and enabled the firewall so that my texts would be redirected to the app. After trying the app I decided I didn't like it after all and uninstalled it so that i could go back to using the normal texting function on the blackberry. However, I forget to disable the firewall until just now, and when I did so it said there have been 8 text messages blocked by the firewall. When I disabled it, these texts did not reappear. A couple of them could be important and I could do with reading them - does anyone know how I can access these blocked messages?
Yesterday all our email accounts on @mobileemail.vodafone.net. I have got Vodafone to list the case with RIM. But is there anymore i can do?
