Recently I sent my phone away for repair. Before I sent it our I backed it up to my computer. I got my phone back to day and they sent me a new phone.
The problem I am having is that Blackberry Desktop Software does not recognize my phone as the old phone and it wont let me restore my contacts and information.
I had attempted to use to to the device menu and switch device but it requires me to plug in the old phone, and of course, they kept it.
whenever i back up my bold, and then restore from the backup, none of my sound profiles restore back to the phone. this issue has been a problem ever since i got the phone, whether is was running 4.6, or after i upgraded to 5.0.0.411 what could cause this, and how could i fix it?
I tried to download a ringtone and my phone then told me it needed to restore because of the updates. I transferred my purchases over but stupidly didn't make a back up. After restorting I realised the most recent back up I had was for April. So I used that back up. However does anybody know whether it is possible, in any way, for me to get my phone restored back to just before it decided to restore. I've tried looking through the forums but have had no luck.
Just wondering if I get a Bold 9650 next week and I back it up with all my apps and settings from my backed up Storm2 9550 file will that happen successfully or should I just reload all apps from scratch?
BTW: I have SocialScope on my Storm2 will it be an easy transfer to my Bold 9650?
I would like to ask for assistance on my bb torch 9860, my brother accidentally reset the phone and erased all my data stored in it, the worst thing is I did't have back up for any of my contacts in bbm and also having problems listing on desktop software indicating Blackberry 7.0.0 core application mark as required and not installed?
After updating to Android 2.3, I can't find the backup & restore app. Is the app called something else now in 2.3? I want to restore my backups made in 2.1.
Trying to update my phone and backup and restore contacts, msgs etc before, but when i press backup it keeps telling me to insert memory card. Mine is already in the phone, always has been, tried taking out n put back in again, turning phone on n off etc. still saying to insert a memory card!
at first i restored my phone as new, then i restore again from backup, but the photos won't sync to my phone.everything else was back; contacts, mail, note, sms, wallpaper but no photos and apps. for those apps it's ok i can download them back but how can i get my photos back?i check my backup files, the photos are there but it won't sync to my phone, there are over 2600+ pics, if there is any better way than that i have to rename every sigle files one by one.there is a weird thing, on my backup files the time last modified and the time shown on itune when u choose which backup file u want to restore from, are not the same, there are slighly different, althoght the lates one are the same but the result still the same no photo; even in every file there are photos in it.
I updated my iphone 5S, which I regret because it made my music app unplayable. I backed it up before updating, while trying to restore my phone from that back up an error message pops up sayif there is not enough room to restore from back up. There's 16.6 GB used and 10.2GB available. I read online that I can go to settinga > general > erase all content and settings, and that would free up the space to restore from back up. However I had this same issue on my old phone and no matter how much I deleted from my phone there still wasn't enough room to restore from back up. So I'm concerned that if I do clear my phone by erasing all content and settings that I will still be unable to restore my phone from back up and then I'll just be screwed.
i Just downgraded to 3.1.3 from iOS 4 when I try to restore it says that the iphone software is too old.I have tried to restore it using official firmware 3.1.3 and jailbroken 3.1.3
I have just upgraded the firmware and have lost everything that was on my phone. I have tried to restore from back up but keeps coming up with "itunes could not restore the iphone "#######" because the back up session failed.
The back up was done just couple minutes before i upgraded and i have also tried previous back ups but none of them work.
Is there going to be a way to get the back up working?
I need to view a few texts that were deleted from my iPhone 4 (iPhone has not been synced since text was deleted).
how I would accomplish this through backing up my device? From what I understand, if you backup your device, deleted texts are included in the backup file. If I were to restore my iPhone using this backup file, would the previously deleted texts now show back up on the phone? This is the part I don't fully understand.
I had an app that I had wrote down passwords and added pictures to and when I update to 5.1.1 it put my phone in recovery mode so I had to restore it and after that I got my apps back but not the information on them like the pictures and passwords. Is there a way to get it back?

I just tried syncing my 4S to my itunes and I previously used my 3G iPhone before the 4S. When I plugged it in, it restored all of my old 3g settings to my 4S, now I have lost several pictures, apps, and contacts. How do I find my old backup so that I can restore everything back to it again?

Are there any easy step-by-step how-to that describes the process to restore so that the phone isn't rootet and there is no programs left that isn't original?
I posted yesterday about being stuck on the apple logo. It somehow worked itself out and I was able to back everything up. Today I noticed that the WI-FI was greyed out and when I went to reset it, it went back to the apple logo and is again locked there.
So I need to restore. I have the 3GS and when I go to restore it is says it will update to 3.1.3. Can someone walk me through how to restore so that it is still possible to unlock/JB?
