I have been using my Bold 9780 for the past 18 months without any problem. But recently it stopped connecting to the mobile network, and shows only the SOS signal. It does connect to the wifi, and all other functions seem to be working okay. I tried with different SIM cards with different providers with the same result. These SIM cards are working fine with other handsets.

I'm a prepaid user situated in dbn. Got my 9780 in aug lastyear. In april bis signal keeps dropping repeatedly and takes forever to come back on. Customer care fixes it until I get an app update and the phone has to reboot, it goes haywire again. Startin to annoy me, as I'm txtn ryt nw the bis signal has dropped.

View 1 Replies View Relatedmy bold 9780 keeps showing a white screen. i kept trying to reboot it but whenever the blackberry reboot screen came up it changed to a blank white screen and wouldnt move from there. i took it into a o2 shop & they said to update the software so i did that but still the white screen shows. although it doesnt show now when i am trying to reboot my phone it still shows it while im using my phone and i have to do a battery pull before it will leave the white screen. i can still recieve messages while the white screen is there but i cant see the screen to read them.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI received a call yesterday in the evening and the screen turned white. I tried removing the battery + pressed alt, right caps and del but still did not work. Also tried reloading the OS although it has the latest version of 6.0.0.264 using application loader yesterday. It did not work either. But today morning I went to carphone warehouse, they tried to tweak it but in vain. They suggested it was a hardware problem and had to be sent to bb support (which takes 28 days!!) It was still showing a blank screen. When i reached home, surprisingl y the cell phone was fine (dun ask how). I restored the data which i had saved on the laptop. After a few min tried calling up a friend, and the cell went blank again. I just pressed alt, right caps and del n it seemed to be fine again. Tried calling up and problem still persists.

And after I turn off cellular data and put it back on to get back 3G it loses all bars completely and goes to "searching.." and then finally "no network"Â and then I have to manual search for my network. I have a bb curve 8520 on orange, im from the uk and have virgin broadband. i have a dlink wirles router. i can connect to it no problem and get the wifi emblem in white and black showing its connected, i also have my routers name come up so its definatly connected. i have litteraly no signal in my house, either 1 bar or sos, sometimes i will get uma signal, sometimes not, my gf has the same contract and phone as i do, both are orange branded phones and she gets uma signal almost instantly as she steps into the house. why do i not get uma, are my settigns not configured properly? as i really cant send or recieve calls and messages.

View 7 Replies View RelatedThis morning, my iPhone said "No Service", all the way into work.There where no issues with Vodafone's network, and there are no areas where there is no coverage, on my way to/from work and home.I tried turning Airplane mode on then off again, to force the iPhone to search for a signal, that didn't work (usually does). I had to turn the iPhone off, then back on again, and there it was - a full 3G signal (5 bars). This happens a lot - the iPhone either falsly reports that I have 2G or 3G, when in fact I've only got regular GSM, or it reports "No Signal", and will go all day without aquiring a signal, even in known good areas, unless I turn airplane mode on then off, or turn the whole iPhone on then off.

Have tried to update the software (t mobile said this might help) but message says that my administrator will not allow this.
I just got myself a bold 9780. But now after restarting it for the first time, it shows a white screen with "App Error 603" and "Reset" on it. I alreadey tried the suggestions at the Torch board.
