Have only had the phone a few months and all I do so far is talk, text and email. I have the software on my computer but have never used it. I'm sorry if this has been posted already but I don't have time to wade through the threads. I have to leave the computer right now but will be back in a couple of hours.
I have Outlook 2007 on my desktop computer and use BT as a service provider and for my email, my Blackberry supplier is Vodafone and I use BIS.I have noticed that if my Blackberry receives an email first I don't get the same email delivered to my desktop. If my desktop gets an email first then the same email will be delivered to my Blackberry. I was happily deleting emails from my Blackberry thinking I would have them all on my desktop but I now find I have to check what emails I have on each before I delete anything. Is this an issue that anyone has come acrosss before and how do I resolve it apart from synching the Blackberry and desktop?I'm often away from the desktop which is why I bought the Blackberry in the first place.
I'm running .400 and I cannot figure out why my Gmail doesn't forward to my BB emails sent to myself. If I'm on my PC and I compose a message to the same email address I'm writing from, which is connected with my BIS, the email doesn't appear on my BB ever.In Gmail, I have forwarding disabled but POP enabled.
Soo I could only find out how to do this on older phones (the options must have changed), but I have 2 gmail accounts set up on my Bold and I want to be able to differentiate emails from them without scolling up after I open the message. A color coding system would be ideal, where messages from one email would be a different color or something.
I keep getting OLD emails on my BB since this morning. I have hotmail and gmail two email accounts registered on the BB. The old emails I keep getting are from my hotmail account only. Some emails went as far back as 2007! I wonder if this has something to do with the BB server.
I also noticed that my BB stopped synchronising with my hotmail acc anymore since I'd upgraded to 9700 from 9000. For example, the emails in my hotmail acc used to get deleted when I choose delete "on mailbox and handheld" on my 9000, but this doesn't work on the 9700 anymore. I have to log on to my hotmail acc from my PC to delete read emails. what's wrong with my BB?
I have been given a new handset by Blackberry as the old one died on me, But what is happerning when i try to get my emails it asked me to validate them whit the passwords, which i do and it tells me thats fine, but i still cannot get them?I have a Blackberry Bold 9700 with software v6
im not getting all of my emails to my BB 9700, is there something i need to do, setup wise from my laptop or my BB. I look at my emails on my laptop and i had 24 but i never get them all to my BB,
I have been trying to figure this one out for a while. I have two email accounts link to my berry. Both are AOL email accounts. The problem is that when I try o send an email and select from which one to send it from I now have four choice, they are doubling up. For example for email one it shows up as xxxx@aol.com and then xxxx@AOL.com. The same thing happens for my calendars. Each account shows up twice, so in essence it splits them up and I have 4 separate calendars. What can I do to get rid of the extra accounts that show up and correctly show only the two emails(and associated calendars)on my berry.I am at a lost with this one.PS. Went to the blackberry BIS website to make sure I did not type each email in twice when I registered them and it correctly only shows the two emails that are registered.
I just got a Bold 9700. With an OS v5.0.I have a corporate email set up through "Enterprise Activation" and I have set up my personal emails through the Email Wizard. The problem is: all the emails go to the Main Inbox. So in the Main Inbox, I have a mix of corporate emails and personal emails. The wizard also created different inbox for my personal emails, so I can access them individualy. But there is no way for me to get the personal emails out of the Main Inbox. Or creating a new Inbox for the Corporate emails.
I recently got my first blackberry bold 9700 and have started experiencing problems with the emails. When I receive a new email I go to click into the message but when its loaded it from a previous email and not the email I am trying to access. Then if I know I do not want to open the email and just delete when I click to delete it deletes a previously saved email or bbm message.
Lets say I get a new email into my gmail account.I got a notification on my blackberry, but i open it on my laptop.Does the notification of a new email go away? and if so, how long does it take?
My only option on the setup wizard menu is "i want to use a work email account with a blackberry enterprise server" which I don't think I'm able to set up. I presume I would need option 2, but it's not showing up and I'm unsure what to do now to set up my emails?Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I have two web based emails, which are working fine on my laptop. I stopped receiving emails last night and haven't received any since. They were working fine for several months until last night. I can also not install updates as the desktop manager says there's a 'fatal error'. Might these be related? I get bbm and text fine.
i used to have email's set up on my bb 9700, ive been using a different bb for 2 weeks to which i registered my email accounts to, now im back to using this one it no longer lets me register the accounts!Ive gone into the service book and deleted the accounts, but when i go onto set up emails i click it, it just brings up the spinner thing for a second and goes away and does nothing what can i do!
I have had my first ever Blackberry for a few weeks now and am hooked on BB's for life. The only problem I have with my Bold 9700 is this; I have 2 email address sert up on my BB. I receive emails that are sent and can reply to emails that I receive. I can add an email address and type out the email but there is no send option. I have tried everything to see if I can alter this but no luck. Any advice anyone?
I have my gmail account set up ages ago and was able to delete an email and it would ask me whether I wanted to delete it from the mailbox and handheld or handheld only etc .Recently , that option disappeared , the only option would be "delete" and "cancel" . My other email account is still running fine . I tried deleting and adding the email account again , sent service books , battery pulls , nothing is working . I made sure that the circle is shaded in when it says "sync deleted items."
When I send emails from my computer....they show up on my blackberry. Is their a setting to change this? Its kinda annoying, and dosnt really make sense...
how can i set emails to only go to my gmail folder, instead of to both Messages and Gmail, im only getting the notifications for the "Messages" folder, but it's cluttered. I read something about Message List Options, but i cant find it anywhere. any ideas?
Bold 9700, OS .442, Telus Mobility. Email server is IMAP, leave emails on server indefinitely (eg. I still have emails from 2007), 90MB memory free. BIS is set up to forward messages that do not meet filters. This just started happening today, I'm not receiving random emails! It's been working fine for weeks! So starting today, I would be in a conversation with someone, and I won't get a reply. That person sends me another email asking if I got his last email... coming back home and checking (Apple Mail) I realize I'm missing some other emails today as well. Again, some emails reach my Blackberry, others don't! No rhyme or reason as to why this is happening.
I have a few internet businesses and the max 10 emails is limiting me on how many emails i can store on my phone. Is there a trick to get more then 10 email addresses on your blackberry device? I need more then 10. 15 would be ideal.
I have a blackberry bold where all my emails are being bulked into groups/folders.Basically in short, all my emails are bulk bulked up, such as if anything forming from person A will go into a folder, anything from person b goes into folder b.I am using also several email account and it happens to all of them. This also makes it hard to search for any recent emails that just came in. I talked for numerous hours to Tmobile and even more with specialist with blackberry and they couldn't find a solution. Someone did mention to me that the Bold 9700 and if your on a 5.0 software with gmail account it messes it up and bulks up the emails.
It's strange because my son uses a Curve 8900 and has access to my email account but it doesn't bulk up the same emails, and he is on 4.6OS
I am receiving these emails (sometimes 20-30 a day). I have uninstalled and re installed the desktop manager using the BIS option. I also have referenced these forums and have checked advanced options to delete any service books the say 'desktop' (I didn't have anything that said this). What now?
I am using two web based email providers, gmail and directbox.com. All my new emails go directly to my 9700, but not all of them go to my outlook. It seems like only unread emails go to my outlook, but then again, sometimes I also get emails to outlook after I have read them on my 9700. I want to receive ALL my emails in outlook, regardless if I have read them already or not.
I have my gmail account mapped with my new BB 9700. When I send an email from my BB using the gmail account, it doesnt appear as an sent item. Which setting am I missing? Bcoz when I had 8900 (till few days back), sent emails (from BB) used to appear on the BB.
I've tried to research this elsewhere for a couple of days but haven't got Blackberry Bold 9700 is the phone, and I have hooked up to my outlook account using pop3 account because direct into exchange server is not an option. I get emails and can send emails, no problem. If I delete emails from BB, they delete in outlook BUT not the other way round. So if I delete emails in outlook they do not delete from my phone.
I DON'T run cache exchange mode on outlook, and therefore the emails I read on my outlook are not on a local pst folder. I have enabled wireless reconcile Having recently moved from HTC (using Windows Mobile 6.1 which works a dream with outlook obviously) to BB I am terrified I have tied myself into 2 years of hell,
i just got my Blackberry yesterday and set it up -the emails were being forwarded from my computer with no problems. This morning they have stopped and I am not recieving any...I did get an email straight to my phone from Blackberry but nothing from my computer.
This is my third blackberry and I love them and will never change to any other smartphone. I tried an Android phone and it just doesn't compare to the stability and e-mail functionality of a Blackberry.
However recently my phone (a Bold 9700) has begun to experience some e-mail problems. I can receive emails just fine but I cannot for the life of me send an e-mail! I have deleted all my accounts and reentered all the info but I still cannot send any emails. I also can not set up a microsoft exchange account. It does not even give me the option. Please help! I need do be able to send emails for work purposes.
