I recently got my first blackberry bold 9700 and have started experiencing problems with the emails. When I receive a new email I go to click into the message but when its loaded it from a previous email and not the email I am trying to access. Then if I know I do not want to open the email and just delete when I click to delete it deletes a previously saved email or bbm message.
I have Outlook 2007 on my desktop computer and use BT as a service provider and for my email, my Blackberry supplier is Vodafone and I use BIS.I have noticed that if my Blackberry receives an email first I don't get the same email delivered to my desktop. If my desktop gets an email first then the same email will be delivered to my Blackberry. I was happily deleting emails from my Blackberry thinking I would have them all on my desktop but I now find I have to check what emails I have on each before I delete anything. Is this an issue that anyone has come acrosss before and how do I resolve it apart from synching the Blackberry and desktop?I'm often away from the desktop which is why I bought the Blackberry in the first place.
I'm running .400 and I cannot figure out why my Gmail doesn't forward to my BB emails sent to myself. If I'm on my PC and I compose a message to the same email address I'm writing from, which is connected with my BIS, the email doesn't appear on my BB ever.In Gmail, I have forwarding disabled but POP enabled.
Attempted various browser settings options and still unable to access secure(https) websites... the message ""... Returned an error when attempting to fulfill your request... I have also attempted access through opera mini, here I manage to get to the https site however the login process fails. Appreciate your guidance in resolving this.. N.B. I had no such problems with my old Nokia E71 ... I was hoping my new BB 9700 is an upgrade...
I just installed a Blackberry update to my 9650 Bold and now I can't get my emails. I went to setup and it asked for passwords. I typed them in CORRECTLY and it doesn't recognize them. Frustrated I uninstalled the update and I still can't get the emails.
Soo I could only find out how to do this on older phones (the options must have changed), but I have 2 gmail accounts set up on my Bold and I want to be able to differentiate emails from them without scolling up after I open the message. A color coding system would be ideal, where messages from one email would be a different color or something.
I keep getting OLD emails on my BB since this morning. I have hotmail and gmail two email accounts registered on the BB. The old emails I keep getting are from my hotmail account only. Some emails went as far back as 2007! I wonder if this has something to do with the BB server.
I also noticed that my BB stopped synchronising with my hotmail acc anymore since I'd upgraded to 9700 from 9000. For example, the emails in my hotmail acc used to get deleted when I choose delete "on mailbox and handheld" on my 9000, but this doesn't work on the 9700 anymore. I have to log on to my hotmail acc from my PC to delete read emails. what's wrong with my BB?
Have only had the phone a few months and all I do so far is talk, text and email. I have the software on my computer but have never used it. I'm sorry if this has been posted already but I don't have time to wade through the threads. I have to leave the computer right now but will be back in a couple of hours.
I have been given a new handset by Blackberry as the old one died on me, But what is happerning when i try to get my emails it asked me to validate them whit the passwords, which i do and it tells me thats fine, but i still cannot get them?I have a Blackberry Bold 9700 with software v6
So I connected my 9700 to my Wireless router and it shows me that the connection is successfull but if I turn off my Mobile Network to just access the net via Wi-Fi nothing seems to be happening as if there was no connection.I tried doing the battery pull but no help
I am having trouble with some things that I havent been able to figure out by now and this is my last resort where to find answers. This issue is really bugging me. After literally spending two weeks with my service provider telephoning most time waiting in witing for a call center agent to get connected to and being each time transferred to another division to a last being transferred to the divission where I first started at speak meoving in a cricle and no one being able to help me and this whole theater every day the same for two weeks, I am turning now to the people here hoping I could find some answers
1) My provider in Switzerland is sunrise (BIS), so I went on to the website sunrise.blackberry.com and entered my existing accounts, 4 of them. Additionaly I registered a new blackberry email address to be able to use the true push service which is xx@sunrise.blackberry.com (xx being just a placeholder for my real name). The problem is though that I haven't been able to find out the mail settings I have to enter into my Mail Programm on my PC so I can access the emails on my computer. I dont know if it's a pop server, an IMAP server and not to speak of the mail settings of the server settings for incoming and outgoing email. Since it's actually a BlackBerry server I figured that the servers are BB managed (no one at Sunrise Switzerland even knew what BIS is or that you could receive PUSH mail with the Blackberry email).
2) I tried to register a new email address at https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html for a direct xx@blackberry.com email address thinking that maybe with this, it would easier to find infos about the settings. The problem here is that I have to enter my PIN (no problem) and ESN/MEID number. The Problem is that I haven't been able to find those numbers now mather how hard I tried; they are not even listed in options>status.
im not getting all of my emails to my BB 9700, is there something i need to do, setup wise from my laptop or my BB. I look at my emails on my laptop and i had 24 but i never get them all to my BB,
I have been trying to figure this one out for a while. I have two email accounts link to my berry. Both are AOL email accounts. The problem is that when I try o send an email and select from which one to send it from I now have four choice, they are doubling up. For example for email one it shows up as xxxx@aol.com and then xxxx@AOL.com. The same thing happens for my calendars. Each account shows up twice, so in essence it splits them up and I have 4 separate calendars. What can I do to get rid of the extra accounts that show up and correctly show only the two emails(and associated calendars)on my berry.I am at a lost with this one.PS. Went to the blackberry BIS website to make sure I did not type each email in twice when I registered them and it correctly only shows the two emails that are registered.
I just got a Bold 9700. With an OS v5.0.I have a corporate email set up through "Enterprise Activation" and I have set up my personal emails through the Email Wizard. The problem is: all the emails go to the Main Inbox. So in the Main Inbox, I have a mix of corporate emails and personal emails. The wizard also created different inbox for my personal emails, so I can access them individualy. But there is no way for me to get the personal emails out of the Main Inbox. Or creating a new Inbox for the Corporate emails.
Lets say I get a new email into my gmail account.I got a notification on my blackberry, but i open it on my laptop.Does the notification of a new email go away? and if so, how long does it take?
My only option on the setup wizard menu is "i want to use a work email account with a blackberry enterprise server" which I don't think I'm able to set up. I presume I would need option 2, but it's not showing up and I'm unsure what to do now to set up my emails?Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I have two web based emails, which are working fine on my laptop. I stopped receiving emails last night and haven't received any since. They were working fine for several months until last night. I can also not install updates as the desktop manager says there's a 'fatal error'. Might these be related? I get bbm and text fine.
i used to have email's set up on my bb 9700, ive been using a different bb for 2 weeks to which i registered my email accounts to, now im back to using this one it no longer lets me register the accounts!Ive gone into the service book and deleted the accounts, but when i go onto set up emails i click it, it just brings up the spinner thing for a second and goes away and does nothing what can i do!
Bold 9700 -When I try to turn on wi-fi, the check box will appear checked for a few seconds and then just disappear, leaving the wi-fi off. When trying to search for wi-fi network, I get a message asking me to turn on wi-fi to perform scan; I click ok, then after 20 seconds or so, an error message appears stating that wi-fi can"t be turned on.
I have had my first ever Blackberry for a few weeks now and am hooked on BB's for life. The only problem I have with my Bold 9700 is this; I have 2 email address sert up on my BB. I receive emails that are sent and can reply to emails that I receive. I can add an email address and type out the email but there is no send option. I have tried everything to see if I can alter this but no luck. Any advice anyone?
I have my gmail account set up ages ago and was able to delete an email and it would ask me whether I wanted to delete it from the mailbox and handheld or handheld only etc .Recently , that option disappeared , the only option would be "delete" and "cancel" . My other email account is still running fine . I tried deleting and adding the email account again , sent service books , battery pulls , nothing is working . I made sure that the circle is shaded in when it says "sync deleted items."
When I send emails from my computer....they show up on my blackberry. Is their a setting to change this? Its kinda annoying, and dosnt really make sense...
how can i set emails to only go to my gmail folder, instead of to both Messages and Gmail, im only getting the notifications for the "Messages" folder, but it's cluttered. I read something about Message List Options, but i cant find it anywhere. any ideas?
Bold 9700, OS .442, Telus Mobility. Email server is IMAP, leave emails on server indefinitely (eg. I still have emails from 2007), 90MB memory free. BIS is set up to forward messages that do not meet filters. This just started happening today, I'm not receiving random emails! It's been working fine for weeks! So starting today, I would be in a conversation with someone, and I won't get a reply. That person sends me another email asking if I got his last email... coming back home and checking (Apple Mail) I realize I'm missing some other emails today as well. Again, some emails reach my Blackberry, others don't! No rhyme or reason as to why this is happening.
I have a few internet businesses and the max 10 emails is limiting me on how many emails i can store on my phone. Is there a trick to get more then 10 email addresses on your blackberry device? I need more then 10. 15 would be ideal.
I have a blackberry bold where all my emails are being bulked into groups/folders.Basically in short, all my emails are bulk bulked up, such as if anything forming from person A will go into a folder, anything from person b goes into folder b.I am using also several email account and it happens to all of them. This also makes it hard to search for any recent emails that just came in. I talked for numerous hours to Tmobile and even more with specialist with blackberry and they couldn't find a solution. Someone did mention to me that the Bold 9700 and if your on a 5.0 software with gmail account it messes it up and bulks up the emails.
It's strange because my son uses a Curve 8900 and has access to my email account but it doesn't bulk up the same emails, and he is on 4.6OS
