Jul 7, 2010i saw on kevin's Internet video about the blackberry messenger stress test that it said "crackberry.com" at the top where it would normally say the network's name. is there a way i can actually enter in what i want or at least have the network's name on there? it's really annoying to have that blank space there at the top of the screen. it looks awkward for me.

Aug 23, 2010I just upgraded to a BB Bold 9650 and have synced with Outlook. I input all of my phone numbers in Outlook in the following format: (XXX) XXX-XXXX, but when I receive an incoming phone call on the home screen the numbers appear as XXXXXXXXXX (name is correct). When I look on the call log, they appear correctly and when I check my address book in the device, they appear correctly.I only sync one way - from Outlook to the Device. How do I get them to appear in the correct 10 digit phone number format with parentheses and hyphen?I had another Bold before this and had no issues with this at all. I am wondering if I need to use the Backup and Restore feature in the DTM to delete the address book completely and start again.

May 22, 2010I have a Sprint Bold 9650 OS ver: 5.0.0.621.I cannot connect to a 3G network when I set it for GSM. The phone is currently set on 1XEV network and even so i get two to three bars maximum everywhere i go. In the two days since ive had the phone I haven't had full service anywhere. Im in the New York area and I understand that Sprint's 3G network is extensive so I dont understand why i wouldn't have coverage unless it may be an issue with the headset.

Nov 7, 2011I recently "upgraded" to Blackberry 6 OS on my 9650 Bold. I don't like the way my sent messages show up in my inbox and would like to change this. I figure I would have to do this in Options, but when I click on Option while I'm in the Inbox, nothing happens - just goes back to the inbox. I've tried resetting my device, pulling the battery, etc. to no avail.

It's locked to Verizon, but the thing is; when attempts were made to unlock the phone, the wrong code was entered up to the maximum allowed 10 times. So far, one team advises that it can be unlocked, but they have to send for the files from RIM. One other team said they can unlock it, tried...& failed miserably.

Sep 9, 2010I just upgraded my wife's Verizon Tour to the Bold since she hated the trackball and wanted a trackpad instead. Several times while she's had the phone at work on her desk, plugged in and charging, it has shown SOS where the signal meter is and she lost all service. No phone calls, no email or messenger, etc. She went into manage connections and it showed T-Mobile as the wireless network one day, and AT&T another day, but this is a Verizon phone. How can that happen?

Jun 28, 2010I searched but could not find an answer so I apologize if this has been brought up before.I was one of the fortunate group that was able to exchange a defective tour for a brand new in box bold. I was going through the device switch wizard today when I happened to be holding both devices side by side. I noticed that the screen on the bold is significantly more yellow than that of the tour. I have not noticed this issue discussed previously.Do I have a defective unit or is this the standard bold screen? Thanks for any input/info you can give. Sep 10, 2010Almost everytime I go to use the browser, or an application that uses the browser (such as Poynte) I either get the error that it can't be used because the radio is off (which it is not), or that there is insufficient network coverage at this time and to try again later. Needless to say this is getting VERY old. I do had Quickpull scheduled to run everynight at 8pm. I took it in to Verizon and the woman there was extreamly unhelpful. The device itself is about 2 months old. I've searched the forums and found nothing like this.

Blackberry Apps World & Amazon haven't got this problem. I have already went to my provider (Proximus) and they said my internet must work fine.

It seems to be picking up Rogers network, when I am on the Telus network. It will not find the Telus network at all. I've tried pulling out my simcard, and resetting it. I've tried to manually select Telus, but it will not come up, it says: Mobile Network: *none* or Rogers.
