A few times I've had the send/receive data arrows show up in the corner except the arrow is only one sided (pointing upward). Anyways I was just wondering what it could mean cuz the arrow stays there for hours and nothing comes in like an sms, mms, phone call, etc. I've done battery pulls to get rid of the arrow.
View 4 Replies9700 (got it in november, right after launch) i am running .442 OS (crappy, need to update it) and my PC is on windows 7 ultimate 32 bit. for a while now, when i connect my BB via USB, the PC recognizes it, and i can modify the files on my SD card as much as i want, for as long as i want.BUT if i try to do anythign with DM (backup, load new OS, etc.) it will communicate for a few seconds (generally less than 30) and then stop. the DM still says it is trying to communicate, and my BB shows that it is connected to the DM, but with no send/receive arrows. after a WHILE, it times out.charges fine via USB, SD card works fine via USB. as far as i can see, all of the pins are there.i have tried a few different computers with the same result. this an OS bug? what should i do? i can probly get it to communicate enough for a bare-bones backup of contacts/etc., and then wipe/reload, but im afraid that if i try that, it may hang up yet again and leave me w/o a phone!any ideas? i REALLY need to get rid of this crap OS w/ crap battery life, that keeps giving me 523 errors.

Instead I receive an error saying that I can only compose a draft. Now this only happens when I am replying to an already pushed email. I have already tried resending service books and resending HRT.

Something has changed and I can no longer receive e-mail on my Blackberry. The e-mail icons still appear on my home screen. When they are selected, either the mail, or the aol.com icon, my texts message history is what appears. It is like there has been a disconnect between the icon and the application.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had my Blackberry 9700 since July 2010 with no problem until this past week it has stopped making and receiving phone calls and I can't send or receive SMS. When I try to make a call, it instantly comes up with "Call Failed". I have talked to my carrier (o2) and they too cannot come up with a fix, there is no issue from there part as the sim card works fine on another phone. Strange thing is I can still use the internet on 3G, send and receive emails and my BBM works.
In Manage Connections >> Services Status, it says:

Blackberry internet service:

But the problem is, I cannot found where to set this sms center number on Bold 9650. I have looking for in setting menu.In the sms text setting, the only option is :
- Conversation Style
- Show Names
- Press Enter Key To Send
- Delivery Report
- Data Coding (default is Ascii)
- Priority

I woke up this morning and replied to each of my texts but they each had that waiting symbol on the side of it and then it'd just turn into a red X. I've already taken out the battery twice and I know it has nothing to do with the signal or anything like that because I have full bars but I only have 1x, which I normally ever have in my house. I just have 3G. I can call on it fine so it has nothing to do with the bill.

And done some google searching, but I mainly run into enterprise account users posts, etc.. Mine are just MSN, and GMAIL.
I have multiple accounts that all forward to one GMail account. One of them is a @msn account which is setup to forward, but keep copy on server.
Right now I have my main GMail address setup in my blackberry. I also have the GMail App installed, but since email opened with it is not HTML, it's sort of worthless to me.
Anyway, I would like the ability to send to/reply to certain emails using the alternate account, that in all likelihood was sent to one of the alternate accounts.
How to go about adding the MSN account as a "SEND ONLY" account?
And also, how do I add the other GMail accounts that forward to my primary, so that they show up as an option to use to send FROM, but never receive from the account?
My Carrier is Sprint, but I don't think that makes much difference.
If I could get this setup, I would be very happy.
I have been having a issue lately with my voice service turning off. The first time I was not able to make calls however could use data. Today both data and voice shut off. I was not able to restore connections. The only way to get them back working was to go in settings, mobile networks, then perform diagnostic test which usually fixes the issue. I was told today by a VZW rep that this is happening because I have wifi turned on. Is this correct?
Phone worked great for a week, then I installed the BBDM software and attempted to install a new app and It starts the process but at the end says it cannot connect to the device. Problem is, the BB is now completely reset and has none of my apps, contacts, pictures, videos, or anything else. Any ideas? I'm about to lose it here.

BUT when i connect via a wi-fi connection it works fine. So i don't understand the problem. I have a data plan and everything when i got my 9700, so i dont see why it wont work for 9650
