IPhone IOS Update Gets Stuck On Verifying For About An Hour
Jul 1, 2014
Ok so I start downloading the new update and everything is fine until it gets stuck on verifying for about an hour. I then decided to reboot using the home and off buttons… problem I have now is that it's stuck on the Apple logo and nothing will get rid of it! I've connected to iTunes and it's not seeing the phone…
I was told i needed to update my phone (curve 9360) to the latest software. so i did all the necessary things needed, and then it got down to the actually installing, and the screen was said:
it was on this for 4 hours, so i took battery out to restart, when i did turn it back on, it got back to 7% and stopped, i need my phone urgently as i have NO way of contacting anyone - therefore wont be able to go to work, because i cant contact the person who gives me a lift. I cant contact anyone in an emergency. I was expecting an important call which obviously i have missed.
I have been having problems with my blackberry since December. 1st it starts freezing as in endlessy even when I do a battery pull it takes forever to goon the home screen and when it deos its stuck at 68% on the verifying secuiry software. It freeezes every minute I had to delete most of my apps and most of my bb contacts beacuse I thought itwas space because I do not have a memory card. I even tried goind the press alt lglg to delete the contents but it still freezes!
I'm 'upgrading' to iOS 5.1, and the download seems to have gone fine. But iTunes has been stuck on "Verifying Updated iPhone Software" for about 4 hours. How do I fix this?iTunes 10.6.0.40
Attempted the 7.1.2 update. Immediately went to screen to connect to itunes. Tried hard reboot- that did not work. Know phone connected to itunes for a SLOW 5 hour factory reset. Now Im afraid Ill lose everything. WHY did this happen & how do i get my phone back to working condition?
I am having trouble activating iMessage and Facetime,I recently changed my network provider from Airtel to Vodafone india. iMessage was working fine with the old provider Airtel.I got a new number with vodafone and am using that with my 4S.I have switched off iMessage and Facetime before switching sims from airtel to vodafone, But now when ever I try to acivate imessage on my new number it is still trying to verfy the old number from Airtel instead of Vodafone and eventually fails I have tried it a lot of times and and the bill shows a lot of international SMS chanrges but the stuff does not work.. It is as if the old number has been hardwired to the phone, even though in India all iphones are unlocked.
I've had a nokia 5800 for about 6 or 7 months now. when I got the phone I turned on the automatic time update and it kept time really well. Then it got to about november last year and suddenly it jumped ahead 1 hour. Now every morning I have to turn on auto update (since the phone wont keep time without it), let the time update, change the time back one hour and tell it I havn't changed time zones. I live in Perth Western Australia and we dont use daylight savings so I dont know what is going on with it.
After switching sim cards in my iPhone 4s have a message about additional cost for Facetime sms activation and than still see my old number in the list with "verifying" status. Than in few minutes I receive an SMS from +44 7786 205094 with text: REG-RESP?v=3;r=10fbab5f;n=+7985......(here comes my new number);s=024.....and etc. And it is still "verifying" status and still my old number in there. If I insert some other sim card - activation is ok. After that my new one(was actualy working before in iPhone4) - again the number of previous sim card in "verifying" status and sms message in Inbox with text "REG-RESP.....". Same issue with iMessage.
After I update the iphone to 5.1 my iphone 4s has hang while verifying the phone with apple, now the phone does not shutdown, the phone is hang with apple log.
I'm creating an email account on 4S, iOS 5.1.1 and when it comes to pop-up verifying SSL part (Below) and it require to verify 2x inorder for the email account to be set up.
Cannot Connect Using SSL
Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL?
Does anyone knows why? Need advice urgently, thank you.
Got the new build for the soak test on tuesday, now my extended battery won't stay alive more than 1 hour. It also seems to never really charge anymore. I've tried everything.
I like the phone alot, and now, its become completely useless
im trying to set up imessenger and ive tried pretty much everything. ive come to the conclusion its all to do with my mobile number.
ive gone into "recieve at" and found that my number is in grey and says "varifying", thing is its been varifying for about a week now with no result. i cant click on it or reload it and im really not sure what else i can try
Like others, I tried the software update, and then my phone constantly got stuck at the four little circles at start up. I followed some instructions I found on AndroidPit:
1. From a powered off state, press the Power button to start your Nexus 5. When you see the Google logo press and hold the Volume Down key and release when the device vibrates. 2. Use the volume keys to highlight Recovery Menu and press the Power button to select. This will bring you to a screen with an Android on its back. 3. Hold the Volume Up key for 5 secs then release and a new menu will appear. 4. First off, you can use the volume keys to select Wipe Cache Partition. This will cause your phone to restart. once this is done, re-do the previous steps to get back to the same screen (the one that Wipe Cache Partition was on). 5. Highlight Wipe Data/Factory Reset and select using the Power key. Scroll down to Yes, Delete All Data and press the Power button again to select. 6. Your Nexus 5 will now wipe your data and reformat. 7. On the next screen hit the Power button to select Reboot System Now.
It has been 40 minutes now and it's stuck on 'Formatting /data'. Is this normal?
I've only had this phone for a couple of months and it was functioning perfectly until now I haven't rooted it or anything.
I had a message from Blackberry asking me to verify my email 3 days ago while all these problems with Blackberry were happening. When I go into email account I'm asked for my user name and paassword. Blackberry doesn't seem to recognize these any more, so now myemail has completely disappeared from my Blackberry (Torch 8900 with latest 6.00 update on it). I've spent over 2 hours trying all sort of things, including the '3 steps' thingy, but I can't do step 2, and it's still asking me for my username and password which it doesn't like!
I have been sending and receiving emails with my bold 9900 for months with no problems. A couple of days ago I got an email from blackberry asking me to verify my password. I have since done this and reset my password but still get the message 'unable to log in' when I try. I have done a battery pull, but still can't login or receive emails.
can anyone help me with my iphone 3 8gb it will not update and is stuck on 4.2.1, everytime i stick it on itunes it just moves the update to a later date everytime?
Current OS 5.0.0.681...I try to reboot 4-5 times and get the same result after word "verifying security software" my curve was shutdown.I try to reinstall OS and downgrade OS to old version but can not help. But it's can reboot in "save mode" , if I leave BB for 5-10 mins in save mode the screen will shut down but BB still working, it can receive a call in save mode. This problem should be focus in "software" or "hardware", anyone can tell me?
I just bought a xperia x10 mini pro in August. A week later I insert a 8gb memory card the cellphone showed me a message: Memory card SD damaged. Or: Verifying mistakes in memory. It didn't showed me my music and photos and the cell phone asked me to format the card. I formatted it and it starts to work ok but after 2 or 3 days appears the same problem. Additionally the cellphones sometimes restart itself, even without I'm not using it. The cellphone came with Android 1.6 and I updated to 2.1.
Now my phone is stuck in recovery mode after an update. I get unknown error 1403 after itunes tries to restore the phone for more than 10 minutes. Any way to fix? The help article for error 1403 just tells me to connect to itunes. Connecting to itunes tells me to restore, when I hit the restore button, it updates for a loooooong time then says "unable to restore, unknown error (1403).
So basically i was on iOS 7.0.0 and when my phone was below 10% and i tried to charge it, it would keep turning on and off every 2 minutes. Somebody had told me to update to the latest version of iOS, so I did. While downloading the new version onto my phone an error code popped up (error 29) and the update bar was only half full. Ever since then my phone has been stuck in Recovery Mode.
I got my UDID on my account, went past the activation but, now for some strange reason, iTunes is saying "Preparing iPhone for software update", and has been saying that for about 15 minutes. I don't want to cancel it, because iRecovery didn't work the last time this happened to one of my devices, and I had to restore.
Did the OTA update to 5.1 yesterday and apparently it failed. The phone went into recovery mode instead. No big deal, plugged it into the computer, started iTunes, did recovery/restore, and then.... it went back into recovery mode. Tried a hard reset, tried to restore/update again, same result. So basically, the phone updates, and then goes right back into recovery mode. I have tried some of the jaibreaking tools to get it out of recovery, but they are also unsuccessful. I've tried using iTunes to update it about 10 times now. still nothing.
I was trying to update my phone to 5.1, and about 10 minutes in, the update stopped making any progress. I waited 20, maybe 30 more minutes, and then I tried resetting my phone. ITunes then said my phone was in recovery mode, so I needed to restore settings. Now it's stuck again, with less progress shown. What might be wrong?
My iPhone4 is stuck in the dreaded loop after going to install the new update today. It always "restores" then displays the same "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode" message.
