BB Curve 83xx :: Phone Stuck On Verifying Security Code
Feb 14, 2010
I have been having problems with my blackberry since December. 1st it starts freezing as in endlessy even when I do a battery pull it takes forever to goon the home screen and when it deos its stuck at 68% on the verifying secuiry software. It freeezes every minute I had to delete most of my apps and most of my bb contacts beacuse I thought itwas space because I do not have a memory card. I even tried goind the press alt lglg to delete the contents but it still freezes!
Current OS 5.0.0.681...I try to reboot 4-5 times and get the same result after word "verifying security software" my curve was shutdown.I try to reinstall OS and downgrade OS to old version but can not help. But it's can reboot in "save mode" , if I leave BB for 5-10 mins in save mode the screen will shut down but BB still working, it can receive a call in save mode. This problem should be focus in "software" or "hardware", anyone can tell me?
I m unable to download new applications on my phn.. I tried to restore my phn bt it asks for the security code which i forgot... I tried by clicking 12345..bt its nt working... Even the communities n ovi store of my phn isnt working..But only the main browser is working properly.
Ok so I start downloading the new update and everything is fine until it gets stuck on verifying for about an hour. I then decided to reboot using the home and off buttons… problem I have now is that it's stuck on the Apple logo and nothing will get rid of it! I've connected to iTunes and it's not seeing the phone…
This is a 8330m i had but havent used in forever. i had it password locked but forget the password at the time. so it resetted itself and i didnt bother with it after that. now it showed up a 513 error so i used JL_cmder and wiped it. now it has a 507 error and i tried to use DM4.6 to install 4.5.175 OS and it keeps saying "no software is available for this device" when i try to manually locate the loader.exe file i click it and says "no additional applications designed for this device were found." the vendor.exe file has been deleted and all other OS were deleted. DM doesnt say connected but when i click apploader the PIN shows up. I tried to do the OS install without the battery and it wouldnt work. i tried the "how to recover a dead blackberry" and it sort of gets to the beginning but when it locates the blackberry, the blackberry shuts off and doesnt turn back on.
I just purchased a Sprint locked 8330 and am trying to unlock it. I have read many forums and tutorials on trying to unlock it but am stuck at the part where I need to read from memory the SPC/MSL number I am using CDMA tools and when I go to read a file and create the .bin file from memory i get a error: Read error at address 0x1067ED90. I seems to have worked in so many tutorials that I have seen that I am getting very frustrated.
I am an IT technician, and we use BES at my company. I have been handed a phone by one of my fellow employees exhibiting the dreaded reboot cycle problem. Yes, I know there are lots of other threads on this, but some are dead ends and some just rehash the same old thing. I'm not certain, but I think this may be different and deserve its own thread. I am working with a BlackBerry Curve 8310 stuck in the known reboot loop. Black screen for 5 seconds, white screen with hourglass for 5 seconds, black screen for 5 seconds, rinse/lather/repeat.
I have tried: 01) Using BBSAK to wipe the device (without Desktop Manager open or running). 02) Using JL_Cmder to wipe the device (without Desktop Manager open or running). 03) Installing the BlackBerry Java Developer Kit and running the wipe variable command on JavaLoader.exe (without Desktop Manager open or running). 04) Deleting vendor.xml and running loader.exe with and without the /nojvm variable from /Program Files/Common Files/etc (without Desktop Manager open or running). 05) Using BlackBerry Desktop Manager to load the newest OS (hey, why not). 06) Tried every combination possible of booting the phone without the battery and inserting it at just the right time, over and over and over again, while all of the processes above attempt to run (BBSAK, JL_Cmder, Loader.exe, etc). 07) Doing all of the above on a Windows XP Professional PC instead of my Windows 7 Ultimate x86 PC. 08) Doing all of the above on a different BlackBerry Curve 8310 without a reboot problem (it works every time; wipe the OS, install the newest one, no issues at all, I'm very familiar with the process). 09) Trying all of the above using a completely different battery. 10) Trying all of the above with the SIM card removed (there is no media card, so no issues there).
As far as all of the documented steps to resolve this known issue, I've tried them all in every which way using every combination I could possibly imagine or invent on the fly, and I've made absolutely, positively no progress whatsoever. The BlackBerry Curve 8310 continues its auto-reboot-5-seconds-into-loading process, and it prevents any of the utilities above to communicate with the phone long enough to establish a handshake before it reboots again. It doesn't seem to matter when I insert the battery at all. The farthest I get is using the loader.exe method (step 04 above). Once it gets to the device initialization step, however, and I insert the battery back in, the reboots simply continue. I am at a loss, and I've done everything that I know to do or that I've learned to do via research on multiple messageboards. Aside from sending teh phone out for repair, what steps are there to take that I have not yet taken to fix this myself? Note that there is no report of the phone being dropped, jarred, or physically mishandled in any way. Nonetheless, could it be that this is not software-related, but hardware-related? What am I missing?
what is the security code for a c3-01? ( Ive never used it so it should be set at default?) I dont want to try because I read the phone can lock up if you enter the wrong one more than 3 times?
I changed mine security code, then after a while to check if I remember it correct I went again to the place where it can be changed but pressed cancel so not to change it again, now the phone does not approve my security code at all, neither the old one, any clue what happened?
i bought a nokia c3-00 yesterday, on changing the security code the phone now ain't unlocking using the new security code. I have tried all the procedures of turing in off, letting it stay idle but the phone aint accepting the new security code or the default one...
I have all my data on the phone and now i cant access it. What should I do?
I have forgotten the security code of my nokia x3-02. I tried unlocking it with master code but i found out that the master code solution works only for DCT-3 and DCT-4 phones. I really want to know if there is any hope for unlocking it because i really like this phone
ive just updated my nokia x3 but when i updated it ovi suite restored my phone using an old backup file. this backup file held a diffrent security code which ive forgotten. ive spoke to nokia and the care point in sailsbury. the repair point says i shouldnt be charged for the repair. im awaing a responce from nokia, about them charging me if i use the repair option on the website. I dont feel i should pay as ive followed the instructions that ovi suite gave me. i think the repair should be free. i was really shocked after the update and then my phone asked me 4 the code. i thought that the nokia software updates were fully tested before realsed to be installed into customers phones. i cant belive it
The phone is currently locked (security code) and it is asking me to type in "blackberry." Unfortunately, the "a" button does not work and I am unable to unlock the phone. I have tried a hard reset (removing the battery) but have not been successful.
I got my kid a new cell phone to replace an old VX8300. Before putting it away or giving it away I was going to wipe out all the old information and hopefully reset it to factory settings.Unfortunately it appears as though one of his friends changed the security code from the default last 4 of the cell number to something else without telling him. Very funny practical joke. Unfortunately my kid has no idea when this happened and his friend does not remember what he changed it to.
I tried every 4 digit combo I can think of and nothing worked. Verizon told me there was nothing they could do. They say they have no master code to reset it and they can't plug it in and reset it manually either. Is this true? Is this phone locked forever? I don't want to figure out what the old code was. I don't care to. All I want to do is to reset the entire thing. Is there no way to do this once that code is changed? If so then Verizon and LG should make that abundantly clear to people because the odds of someone changing that code and completely hosing their phone is not that low.
Every time I try to sign into my App Store it asks me for my security code for my credit card. I'm putting in the correct code but it will not work. Is there any other kind of code I should be using for this??? I just want access to my apps?
Why does it keep saying invalid security code? I've done everything that people have posted to do..been trying for 2 hours and it still won't work. What is going on?
I've been trying to download a free game app and it sends me to a billing screen and I keep putting the correct security code and it keep saying invalid why?
