Apr 23, 2012In my iTunes window, the playlists for my iphone 4s when it is connected show correctly. The playlists include 'top 25 most played songs', 'recently played', and 'recently added'. Although they appear in iTunes even after syncing, they do not show on my iPhone and I can not use them (they aren't there). But they continue to show in the iTunes list for the device. This is frustrating because I often like to play my recently added list or top 25.

IPhone :: Purchased Music Won't Sync?
May 20, 2012I have purchased these 2 songs on my iPhone and now i want to put them into my library on my PC. But these 2 songs, which I have purchased resently, are showing up like this and i am unable to play them. As you can see, the color of the songs are more matt and gray, compared to the black test of the others. And notice the syncing icon on the left (it is not spinning)..? It is like if they are sort of inactive songs in my library..

Jun 24, 2012For about a month now any new purchases in iTunes on my computer will not sync to my iPhone. In the My Phone > iPhone >Apps window I move the new apps onto the iPhone screens. Then press Apply to sync. It starts to sync and then on the step (3 I think) - determined tracks to sync, the apps disappear from the iPhone window and are not added to the iPhone. I have restored, resetted, restarted, downloaded and reinstalled iTunes etc...

Apr 10, 2012I'm not sure when this started but I've been putting up with it for a while. Most of the time when my iPhone 4s (iOS 5.1) syncs with iTunes (always running the latest version on Win 7) either via USB or WiFi, the songs I didn't purchase from the iTunes store (i.e. ripped) disappear from my iPhone. I have to then uncheck the box to sync music in iTunes and then recheck it so it copies all 2500+ songs back to the iPhone. I probably have to do this 2 times a week and would turn off syncing if I didn't have a need, but I do need it. This happens far more often on USB than WiFi but it's driving me crazy. While working with Apple support to troubleshoot another issue, I completely removed and reinstalled all Apple software and reset content and settings on my iPhone in the past 3-4 months.

Updated Playlists Not Updating On IPhone Running IOS 7.1.1
Jun 26, 2014This issue happened when iOS 7.1.1 came out months ago. It since cleared. Usually, I had to wipe my phone, and restore it to get all playlists and updates to a playlist to reflect on my phone.Â
Somehow, it started "working" for the past few months. Something changed this week and its doing it again.
THIS ONLY HAPPENS ON IPHONE. My iPad, iPods update with no issue.
My thought is there is some caching on the iPhone that i need to clear. When i add and remove the playlist, I see the size of the free space change. So i know iTunes is "seeing" the change. The iPhone isn't...Â
What I have done so far:
-HARD REBOOT / sync
-sync
-uncheck playlists/sync
-check playlist / sync
-reboot mac
-restart itunes
-checked for current versions of both (all updated)
I do not carry my music on the iCloud.Â

May 27, 2012After upgrading to the latest ios (from 4.3.3), when I hit sync in itunes, it says "waiting for sync to start," "preparing to sync" and "waiting for changes to be applied," while not actually syncing music or apps. It does sync photos, though, for some reason. I tried rebooting the computer, using a different wire, and using a different usb port.

Apr 3, 2012I recently went through my itunes and deleted all of the songs and readded them to itunes after moving my song file locations. I then plugged in my iphone to sync to my re-done itunes. All of the music synced to the iphone except for when I went to some new playlists many of the songs did not appear in the playlist even though they were in the master list of songs. I have tries turn my iphone off and on and re-syncing the iphone many times. All of the songs are checked on itunes, my iphone is set to sync all checked items and I have my iphone set to sync all playlists on my itunes. Is there any way I can get the rest of the songs to show up in the playlists?
ps. It's an iPhone 4s and is less than a week old. I also have an ipad 2 but I'm afriad to sync pss. Most of my song files aren't from itunes and rather were downloaded onto a different computer as mp3s off of cds and were transffered to my new computer a while ago. They worked on my iPhone and itunes until i recently moved all of my songs to a file within my "music" file (for organization purposes)

IPhone :: ITunes - Best Way To Sync Music And Apps Outside
Aug 12, 2010After jailbreaking and getting my phone exactly the way I want it, I've decided I don't want to have to use iTunes to manage my music and Apps. I just reformatted my PC, and now iTunes wants me to totally wipe my iPhone and start over - this is unacceptable.
So I would like to manage my music outside of iTunes, but prefereably still using the iPod app as opposed to a third party one. I did a quick search and found nothing on the forums. Googling has led me to a few ideas, but they all seem dated. I am not familiar enough with SSH to figure this one out by myself.
Apps may be trickier, but there are a number of apps I have downloaded through Cydia, etc. that I would need to re-download if I wiped my phone.
Any tips or advice would be great here. Each successful thread I post takes me one step closer to leaving Big Brother out of my smartphone experience!

Jun 28, 2012My iphone recently lost sound on all the apps. The ringer works however. When I try and press the vloume button on the side all I see is the ringer logo. I dont see the level indicator. When I mute the sound and then unmute the sound i briefly see the level indicator. I can only change and hear sounds when I change ringer sounds. Video playbabck also has no sound. Apps installed also have no more sound.
