IPhone 6 :: Music App Crashes When Editing Or Deleting Playlists
Dec 6, 2014
I can't do anything except play a playlist without the music app freezing and eventually crashing (although it tends to finish the song it's playing first..... at least it's graceful in its crash)Â
Also, none of my playlists are updating with my Match playlists. I've tried turning Match on & off, resetting the phone, force quitting Music, different permutations of the above with various networks on or off.Â
I recently purchased and set up iSyncr for my AT&T HTC One. It worked pretty flawlessly and I am pleased with it.
The one issue that I am having is that I sync the "Recently Added" and "Recently Played" smart playlists from itunes (because I would like them to be the same on PC/Phone), and it seems that there are default playlists built into the "Music" application with the same names that CANNOT be deleted by pressing and holding. The only option I get is "Play" when I press and hold.
Is there any way to delete these built in playlists from the phone so I do not have playlists with the same name on my phone? Where in internal storage they are located?
Songs in playlits keep repeating the same song unless I manually advance to the next song. Is this possibly a setting somewhere in iTunes that I'm missing? When I first got the 4s I was not having this but I did an update from a previous install that was on my 3Gs and this started all over again.
The music app on my wifes iphone 4 is showing duplicates for the recently played and recently downloaded playlists. also whenever a new playlist is created it shows twice on the list. some of theses cant be deleted. this is the only device that has this issue. is there any way to get rid of them?
I have tried to slide the default playlists (such as top rated) to show the delete button like you would a normal playlist but that doesn't seem to work. Is there any other way to delete them (without using a computer)?
I tried rebooting the iPhone twice....that doesn't help. Each time I try to launch Music I get a white screen, then I eventually get dumped back to the home screen while Music runs in the background. I disconnected my earbuds, didn't have any other apps running, etc. This is mostly a FYI rant for Apple to know that there are crashes associated with Music. I'll try restoring the iPhone tonight.
OK, lots of Music in my Music folder (accesed via file manager), but I can't add any of it to playlists, I can play it but despite the help function telling me I can then use options to add it to a playlist I can't, I have seen this appears to be a common issue with this 'smart' (sic) phone.
I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S5, and suddenly nothing shows up on the music player. I don't use an SD card, only internal memory. And I tried bringing up songs individually, but they still don't show up on the music player.
I'm using IOS 5.1 on iPhone 4. When I have the music player running, and try to switch to album view (via the MORE button) the music player crashes. I've turned iTunes match on and off, turned iCloud on and off, deleted the music, and resynched the music and I still have the problem.
I have a nokia x6 and all my Music in Itunes on my Win7 machine. I know that there is no way to synchronize my mobile with itunes in a way that pleasant me (itunes agent, itunes sync, salling mediasync give all no playing counts back to itunes). But i am happy to see, that there is an option to import my itunes library to OVI music, so i can administrate my music in itunes and all new music is imported to OVI Music for a sync with my phone. The easiest way to solve this problem would be to make the "Nokia multimedia transfer" running on a windows machine. Is there any plausible reason for not transferring the software from the Mac to Windows. Many Nokia users would be happy about that (cause i am loosing all my playlists, ratings, playing counts, if i switch to OVI Music). And i am sure that many people (including me) that have a nokia mobile and an ipod, would switch to use only the mobile, if them would be given an easy way to synchronize. What is good for an Mac user should be better for a Windows user (since there are certainly more windows user your clients, than mac user that would prefer a iphone)
My aim is to have only Music that a did not play the last month. So all songs should be deleted during the synchronisation on my phone if i heard them the past days.In itunes there is the opportunity to make selfupdating playlists (e. g. only songs not played the last month). So i hear a song on my ipod, make a synchronisation with itunes and the song disappears from the ipod and is replaced by a new song. That is the feature I am missing in OVI Music, where i have no opportunity to make selfupdating playlists.Since you have already selfupdating playlists in OVI Music implemented (recently played, last added,..) There should be a way to make a playlist called "not played the last month".Are there any plans for the future? But there is still one more problem: Some songs are double imported although the songs are only once in the itunes library. Is there the opportunity to find duplicates in the OVI Music?
My s5's stock music app keeps on crashing when trying to go to other section and I am stuck at playlists. I tried to clear data but it didnt work. Can it be fixed without factory reset?
I have created some playlists in Media Go and transfered them to the phone with Media Go.All files have been transferred and I can also see the *.m3u in the music folder on the SD card. What must I do to find the playlists in the music player ? All music files are available as supposed.
I have an LG G4 with a 128GB microSD. I prefer to store all my music locally, and have about 100 gb of albums on the microSD. If I open Google Play Music and select "downloaded only," I can see and play all albums and songs stored locally. However, all my playlists, which show and play fine when streaming, disappear. Instead, my 30+ playlists (same as on iTunes) are replaced by 3-5 odd, random playlists that I never consciously created.
Since my playlists all reference music that is locally stored, why wouldn't they work the same for "downloaded only" as they do when streaming? I'm going to be moving to a place with horrible and expensive internet, so I need to figure out how to use pre-created playlists for locally stored music.
Why Nokia Music Player does not have an option to create playlists from a directory? It would be useful just to select a directory and to have a playlist with the music files from that directory. Is there another Music player for Symbian Belle that have this feature ?
I have put a lot of music on my card into sparate folders and I would like to add those folders as separate playlists into my music player but all I can see in my music player is the nokia default ringtones on mass memory. I tried to refresh music library and nothing happens.
My iphone has music on and i would like to remove it. The music is NOT showing up in the "music" portion of itunes when I am connected. if I sync the music stays if I choose to sync or not.
I am trying to delete the music off my iPhone. I have gone onto my Usage settings and tried to delete them that way, however it says there is no data. I have then plugged it into my PC and again it says no data, however when I go onto my library on the phone itself, it has around 700 songs, all greyed out with either the iCloud symbol or a sign which means they're downloading, however this sign has been there for months now and nothing is yet to download, how do I clear this and start again?!
I have a question regarding the music app on my iPhone 4S. When you slide to the right over a song, you get the option to delete it. If you press delete, does it delete it from your library on your computer or just on the iPhone.
Recently I downloaded an app which caused me to go over my memory allowance on my iphone. Instead of telling me not to download the app, my phone deleted all the music on it. They are still all on itunes on my computer, however when I try to re Auto-fill or sync my phone it refuses to put the music back on the phone because still thinks that all the music is on the phone. This is extrmely frustrating. I have deleted all my photos off the phone (these were taking up the most memory space) in the hope that the music would reappear but it hasnt. how to get my my music back onto my phone?
I am using Nokia 5800 XM firmware 50 When I am listening music and opening in browser page http://habrahabr.ru/blogs/apple/95711/ (or any other big page) - browser showing alert "Not enough memory" and closing music player if in browser there is not only one tab - all other tabs also will be closed
