I'm using IOS 5.1 on iPhone 4. When I have the music player running, and try to switch to album view (via the MORE button) the music player crashes. I've turned iTunes match on and off, turned iCloud on and off, deleted the music, and resynched the music and I still have the problem.

so I have had my One M8 for a week now and I love it but the one thing I have noticed (coming from an iPhone and being a music fanatic) is that the album art in music player looks like absolute trash. I use iSyncr to take my songs from iTunes and the album art on iTunes is high quality 1000x1000 or above images. Can't understand why the HTC is taking those images and making them look downgraded (colour is off as well).

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have just bought a new Golf R (amazing car btw) but neither of the USB sockets in the armrest or the dash cubby hole charge my phone. Is this because it is a USB C type cable? It is not a deal killer as I usually charge my phone at either end of my journey but it is annoying!
Another annoying issue is that the Media player does not display the music album art but that is probably a Windows 10 issue and might get updated as the OS is updated.

If we use this it will sort with Artists first and below it will show the Album name. I live in India, and here we generally listen to songs by movie/album wise not by artist.... I having nightmare in searching the albums as they are sorted by artists first..... I also use Nokia 5800 XM in that we got seperate option "sort by Album" but it is combined with artists in Nokia Symbian^3 phones.....I love the new music player the way it shows the album arts but the only thing is it removed the sort by Album option..

View 15 Replies View RelatedSince updating my OS the audio files that i often transfer to my curve will crash the phone except for the very bottom file on the "all songs" menu inside the BB music player. It is the strangest thing, and very problematic. I have loaded random music files on and switched priority and it is always the last file on the list that works and everything else above will cause the crash. To help clarify some info. The music files are from an itunes playlist and they are all spoken word that range from 5-7hrs each and i have from 2-4 of them at a time. BB desktop manager is the method of syncing and the method of updating the OS as well.

Notice how the artist name isn't showing up on my bb, but on iTunes, all that information is filled out.

This way, multi-artist compilations with an album artist tag of "Various Artists" don't show up as 12-20 artists per album.Unfortunately, on the Sony Xperia Active, the music player doesn't use the Album Artist to sort artists, so I now have hundreds of "albums" of 1 song each from hundreds of individual artists on compilation albums.

there is no way to only sort by "album name", just a combination of "artist and album name" is accessible under options in the menu. This gives me problem since I have a lot of compilations with various artist names.I remember that it was some similar problems with 5800 XM, but fixed via an s/w release a long time ago...

The song title and artist does not display when streaming music from Nokia Music on my Windows Phone through my car stereos' bluetooth connection. It also does not allow me to skip songs using my car stereo.
The Zune music player on my Windows Phone has this functionality.
I just bought this device, love it so far. When I use a Google Voice command like, "play Madonna", it defaults to Sound Picker and doesn't play any songs. I noticed Music app is not even listed as a choice. See pic.
Is there a way to have the stock Music app as one of the choices instead of Sound Picker?

3) now there's one album "Greatest Hits" from Black Sabbath that contains songs from both Blondie and Black Sabbath albums.
I have been trying to open pictures, and send pictures to other folders, but when I try to open the application, it crashes and returns to the 'All apps' screen. Can't use my camera phone until this is resolved

Each time I try to launch Music I get a white screen, then I eventually get dumped back to the home screen while Music runs in the background. I disconnected my earbuds, didn't have any other apps running, etc. This is mostly a FYI rant for Apple to know that there are crashes associated with Music. I'll try restoring the iPhone tonight.

However, when I went to my phone, and searched under artist, the album was not there! The two other albums I have by that artist are there but not the new one.
What's weirder is that it DOES appear on my iPhone if I search for it under the album tab. But it does not come up when looking under the artist tab (just the other two albums that I have by that artist).

View 2 Replies View Relatedso I have a GB 2.3.4 Atrix 4G, and usually, it plays my music and takes pictures fine. But every so often (it seems everyday), I wind up rebooting after, when trying to player music, it says "sorry, this type of file is not supported," even tho I've been playing them all the time. Also, when this happens, the camera and camcorder also happen to stop working, saying "com.camera.android (or blur)" unexpectedly closed. All my songs are MP3 or MPEG4, and usually all play.
Why is this happening on an update? What can be done to prevent it? Are there apps I need to keep off the "auto-end list?" Does rooting a phone bring this on (via pre-install method)? Or is this a common glitch? I have also complained about the way the music player doesn't have an "all songs" option for the player. Personally, I think a blur 5.0 needs to come out already.
I can't do anything except play a playlist without the music app freezing and eventually crashing (although it tends to finish the song it's playing first..... at least it's graceful in its crash)Â
Also, none of my playlists are updating with my Match playlists. I've tried turning Match on & off, resetting the phone, force quitting Music, different permutations of the above with various networks on or off.Â
