there is no way to only sort by "album name", just a combination of "artist and album name" is accessible under options in the menu. This gives me problem since I have a lot of compilations with various artist names.I remember that it was some similar problems with 5800 XM, but fixed via an s/w release a long time ago...

This way, multi-artist compilations with an album artist tag of "Various Artists" don't show up as 12-20 artists per album.Unfortunately, on the Sony Xperia Active, the music player doesn't use the Album Artist to sort artists, so I now have hundreds of "albums" of 1 song each from hundreds of individual artists on compilation albums.

I switched my iPhone's settings on iTunes so I can manage my music manually and deleted the album. Then I loaded it again and it still says the artist is unknown. How do I get it to recognize the artist name? All of the information on my iTunes library is correct, it's just the iPhone that won't recognize the artist.

I am using Lumia 1520 with latest build of Windows 10. I have a 128gb sd card and if I play music through my car bluetooth in Honda Accord, none of the album and artist information is showing on the car display. Also, I am not able to use my car volume or music controls to control the music. I even tried using music that is not in sd card. Is this a bug in windows 10 phones?

Is there a known issue with getting the artist and album artwork to show up in xbox music on the 1520.3, or is it just my phone? I thought it was because I put the songs on via usb rather than buying through xbox music, but I transferred them to my wife's icon and they worked as they should.

The album art is fine when viewed via my iMac in iTunes, but when I sync an album to my phone, it gives it a random album cover from my library instead of the correct one. I go to iTunes and manually re-upload the album art but when I sync again it's still incorrect.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI seem to have problems copy and paste the music to my N900. I don't have such problem before with my old Nseries phones - like N80, N95, N96, and N97. First, when I copy the entire album, one or a few songs will fall under the "Unknown Album" category while the rest of the tracks (from the same album) are displayed correctly. Second, is the album art. Some albums I have the album art displayed correct at the album listing view. Some don't get displayed but in track view, the ablum art is there. Strange? It is kind of hard to get this to work. I can sort of live with no track repeat, hard to operate playlists, but having my tracks falling into different places are not acceptable. so I have had my One M8 for a week now and I love it but the one thing I have noticed (coming from an iPhone and being a music fanatic) is that the album art in music player looks like absolute trash. I use iSyncr to take my songs from iTunes and the album art on iTunes is high quality 1000x1000 or above images. Can't understand why the HTC is taking those images and making them look downgraded (colour is off as well).
View 2 Replies View RelatedOn my S6 i upload a lot of my ripped CD's in MP3 format from my PC. Using Google Play on my Nexus 5, since the album art (even if you have the art in the same directory as music) doesnt show need to use an app, so i use Album Art Grabber from the GPS.
On my Nexus 5, the only time i'd need to re-run to grab the artwork is if I added new music...so i'd have to clear the Data from Google Play (Play Music), run Art Grabber and then run Google Play again. With the S6 however, im finding the artwork keeps disappearing every 24 hours or so. I keep having to re-run the Album Art grabber and cannot understand why. Never had this issue on my Nexus 5.
it happens with both Google Play and Stock Music player app, some cache clearing is happening over some hours and i cant figure it out.
I recently added a new album to my 'iPhone' playlist in iTunes which I sync with my iPhone.
However, when I went to my phone, and searched under artist, the album was not there! The two other albums I have by that artist are there but not the new one.
What's weirder is that it DOES appear on my iPhone if I search for it under the album tab. But it does not come up when looking under the artist tab (just the other two albums that I have by that artist).

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am trying to get a definitive answer as have been researching this for weeks and despite my best efforts still have no solution.I am using the fantastic N900 (well done Nokia!) and would like all my music on the device. All efforts so far have transferred music ok but album tracks always appears in alphabetical order in the music player as opposed to the album track order(not much good). This is despite careful tagging and trying with Windows Media Player, Media Monkey & Songbird to see if any work best.
I found out today that this might be due to the file being a .wma file. All my music is ripped to my PC in .wma as in my experience I find the quality vs file size is great and better by far than .mp3.Today I ripped a CD with WMP as .mp3 and after sync the track order was correct (although I do not want to use WMP through choice and certainly not .mp3, let alone re rip my entire CD Collection), my preference would be Media Monkey or Songbird with .wma.
Is this a bug or N900 problem? (I know they are different but it worked fine on N97 and N95 8gb previously with MM and .wma) Can anyone help? or even offer a recommendation or suggestion as to what they think is best format, application or way to have music on the N900 etc.
I have this BlackBerry Bold 9790, after buying the device, I uploaded a song album to the media folder. After some days I deleted the folder, but it keeps coming back...I deleted it from the card, deleted it using the computer, but somehow it is still there, other music folders are easy to deleta and never shows up.
