So the much awaited belle update is out, however the music player somehow STILL does not sort by album title properly. So here we are, with more than 10 gigs of music all scattered in the music library with album artists names and what not.

Is there any option so that we can sort the songs by Albums. I know we have got a option " Artists and albums". If we use this it will sort with Artists first and below it will show the Album name. I live in India, and here we generally listen to songs by movie/album wise not by artist.... I having nightmare in searching the albums as they are sorted by artists first..... I also use Nokia 5800 XM in that we got seperate option "sort by Album" but it is combined with artists in Nokia Symbian^3 phones.....I love the new music player the way it shows the album arts but the only thing is it removed the sort by Album option..

View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a Nokia 701 and I noticed that sometimes after receiving a call (That being after the call ends) if I was listening to the music player the music is slowed down and crackly after the call. (bug occurs atleast with headphones plugged in. Not sure if without. The music is distorted even after I remove my headphones.) This bug can be fixed with a restart.

Its only after updating my phone through nokia care just to boost up my memory it I started noticing flaws..such as 1) Stripped support of Nokia Reader ( one of the best push notigivation marvell ) 2) Horrible mail client ( just a joke with push mail virtually snapped ) 3) And Now Lyrics support that was present after updating it via phone is also not present..

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using Nokia 701 with music player version 17.2.17 I've around 700 songs in my memory card. In music player, I see the sorting in the order: (i) Artist & then (ii) Album be specific artist. That's okay.
But when I open the album, I see the songs in any random order. They are not sorted alphabetically.
On my computer, every music application utilizes the "Album Artist" tag to group and sort artists. This way, multi-artist compilations with an album artist tag of "Various Artists" don't show up as 12-20 artists per album.Unfortunately, on the Sony Xperia Active, the music player doesn't use the Album Artist to sort artists, so I now have hundreds of "albums" of 1 song each from hundreds of individual artists on compilation albums.
View 5 Replies View Relatedi have copied a couple of mp3 from pc to mobile and refreshed the music library. All the mp3 were working perfect.. After some days i deleted the copied folder. There are other mp3s in music folder in my mmc which i use to hear frequently. Now, after deleting the copied folder, i tried to refresh the library but it says "refresh stopped' and when i click libary details it says 'file is corrupt. Operation cancelled'I can see the album art but cant see any files in that !!! Cross checked the path and played via files.M using belle frmwr vrsn 111.030.0609 which is latest available in my area.

First few seconds screen halts on the image of first frame of video then screen goes whte and flash player's symbol small "f " shows on top left corner. View 2 Replies View RelatedJust finished reinstalling my 701 after a factory reset (*#7370#) and reinstall Belle FP1. Restored just data, contacts, messages. Didn't restore apps and config from backup. AND lost long time reinstalling all my apps, one by one. I was pretty happy about the result, when I tried to open OVI Music app... And it wouldn't start! Just shows a circle for less than one second and terminates before starting.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a 5800 and recently wanted to play a song. When I started the player, I got an error - something to do with the music library being corrupted. I left it to try and sort the problem for a while and then pressed STOP. When I tried later, the library was empty.I have upgraded the Music player but that also did not help. I removed the memory card where the MUSIC diretory is located and re-installed it. I have also re-booted the phone several times.From my PC I can see the directroy with all my music. All attempts to REFRESH the library on the phone fail with a message saying that 0 songs have been added. I have left it for long periods of time but still have no songs.If I locate a song with the file manager I can play it.Is there some way to delete/reset the library database and force it to re-create it?

After the upgrade, Nokia Suite could not see any of the existing music on my phone even though it is still there & I can play it through the phone. I added some more music to the phone through the drag & drop function on Nokia suite & now when I try to sync, this isn't visible either. How to get Nokia Suite to see the music on my phone?
View 1 Replies View Relatedso I have had my One M8 for a week now and I love it but the one thing I have noticed (coming from an iPhone and being a music fanatic) is that the album art in music player looks like absolute trash. I use iSyncr to take my songs from iTunes and the album art on iTunes is high quality 1000x1000 or above images. Can't understand why the HTC is taking those images and making them look downgraded (colour is off as well).
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe Music Widget does not jump correctly to the currently playing track when clicked on. It instead goes to the music library list and on top of that does not go the currently active album, but goes to the beginning of the list. Once in that state if you go back to the home screen and use the music shortcut instead, that too will mimic the widget behavior.The only way to correctly jump to the current track is to have the music player in currently playing view then go to the homescreen and use the music shortcut only. Then It behaves correctly.This is an annoying bug when one is listening to music all day at work every day.

I dont't know if this was asked before but I couldn't find a toppick with exactly the same problem.When I browse through the albums the songs are listed in the right order ,but when I start dding them to a playlist (doesn't matter if it's new or existing) they appear sorted alphabeticaly.There is no option to correct that.It seems that when adding songs to playlist the player reads the song name and not the song nomber from the tag.I even tryed adding the correct numbers infront of the song name in the id3tag but then again it sorts them wrong (like 01,10,11,12,13,02,03,04,etc.)
View 5 Replies View RelatedRecently ive been using my Nokia 808 as a music player in my car, my Kenwood stereo has a aux input and the 808 has a small headphone jack output so connecting it is no problem (i dont use the FM transmitter on the phone as the aerial on my car isnt so good and i get interference).
It works well but the major problem is that its very quiet compared to a cd. I have used software to normalise the volume of all my audio tracks so they are pretty much at normal cd level but they are still quietier than cd's played by the car stereo by quite a long way. The problem is not with my car stereo as its an extremely good unit which cost me a lot of money, so therefore it must be that the phone simply does not output enough volume.
know of a device that can increase the volume to the car stereo aux input?
I have been using N86 for the past 2-3 years and this week I switched to nokia n8, I upgraded it to belle the very first day and everything seems to be working well n good except for this thing. I have above 700 songs in my music library and there is no way to mark multiple songs in the music library of nokia n8 so that I can add them to specific playlists. Is there some simpler way to do this maybe I am missing it because its my first experience with a touch phone. OR has nokia been so ignorant that this feature was not implemented in this OS, which I personally think is not possible (cos I don't expect such a thing from Nokia btw). I don't want to long press every single song and then add to playlist and repeat the same process for above 700 records it will take me a whole day I guess.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just bought a new Golf R (amazing car btw) but neither of the USB sockets in the armrest or the dash cubby hole charge my phone. Is this because it is a USB C type cable? It is not a deal killer as I usually charge my phone at either end of my journey but it is annoying!
Another annoying issue is that the Media player does not display the music album art but that is probably a Windows 10 issue and might get updated as the OS is updated.
I'm using IOS 5.1 on iPhone 4. When I have the music player running, and try to switch to album view (via the MORE button) the music player crashes. I've turned iTunes match on and off, turned iCloud on and off, deleted the music, and resynched the music and I still have the problem.

default music player is not refreshing ,when i start refresh is shows 5 songs added but it didnt stop refreshing and after some time the player got hang and i can't play any music and ultimately i hv to restart the ph.
