My iphone recently lost sound on all the apps. The ringer works however. When I try and press the vloume button on the side all I see is the ringer logo. I dont see the level indicator. When I mute the sound and then unmute the sound i briefly see the level indicator. I can only change and hear sounds when I change ringer sounds. Video playbabck also has no sound. Apps installed also have no more sound.

When I synced the two with my usb cable, I lost my "Recently Added" and my "Recently Played" playlists on my iPhone. When I sync, I sync everything, not specific playlists. Both playlists remain in my playlist section of iTunes. To further troubleshoot the problem, I synced my old (but still loved) 80GB iPod Classic. The playlists remained on my iPod Classic. how to get my "Recently Added" playlist back on my iPhone?

In my iTunes window, the playlists for my iphone 4s when it is connected show correctly. The playlists include 'top 25 most played songs', 'recently played', and 'recently added'. Although they appear in iTunes even after syncing, they do not show on my iPhone and I can not use them (they aren't there). But they continue to show in the iTunes list for the device. This is frustrating because I often like to play my recently added list or top 25.

Am I crazy or does Marshmallow not have a way of clearing all the recently used apps that come up when you hit the square button? I realize 6.0 does a great job of managing power when many apps are open, but I'd just like to keep things a bit tidier when hitting that button so I can more easily switch between recently used apps.

After the update, I noticed that I have lost all of my contacts on the phone, so I plugged it back in to the computer and went with "Restore from backup", which was dated just a few hours prior to updating the firmware.
After it finished restoring, my contacts were all back but half of my apps are missing. I tried redownloading from the App Store as well as syncing from the computer, but the data (game saves, etc) are still missing. How do I get them back?

Strangeness.I have great sound from iTunes, but no sound from any other app, and no ringer from my phone. I have tried drying out the earphone socket with a hairdryer, and plugging/unplugging while listening to an iTunes song - all to no avail. After upgrading to iOS 5.1 one of my iPhone's completely lost his sound. The sound comes back once in a while for a few minutes. I tried everything (hard reset, restore, factory reset, all settings reset etc). On this forum i found a lot users with the same problem after upgrading to iOS 5.1. Unfortunately, there is no solution. The only one "solution" is replacement with a new iPhone - warranty. Unfortunately, my iPhone which I bought over a year ago through T-Mobile had already stopped working (after 11 months ) and I got a new one. Unfortunately, the guarantee of a new (Refurbishment) iPhone was valid only 3 months.
Since I upgraded to iOS 5.1 my iPhone (without sound) is a brick and lies at the desk. Every few days I search the Internet to solve the problem. In my opinion is software problem. I can't understand why Apple don't release a patch for so long.

I continue to lose sound during a face time conversation 3-5 minutes into the conversation. The other end can hear me fine, but I can no longer hear them. I usually hang up and call again and it's fine for awhile longer. I've called into Apple several times and so far the advisors have never heard of this problem. So far I can duplicate it when using my earbuds or without. I use my iPhone4S and my sister users her iMAC. Apple had me reset and test. Of course the next call I made for 6 minutes was fine. I made a call to the same person later in the day and could no longer hear 2 minutes into the conversation.

I've lost all of the ios 5 apps -- settings, weather, contacts, phone, messaging, safari, etc -- on my phone. I tried the "search iphone" to the left, but found nothing. I can receive texts, but when I swipe the screen to read it I get this response, "this url wasn't loaded: sms:/open?groupid=655". Also, I can receive calls, but am not able to place calls. When I sync to itunes the apps/icons still don't show up. I've looked through all the folders & found nothing outta place.

When it finished I realised that several of my app's have been removed (from both iTunes & phone).My concern is that both App's are 'diary' type apps and as such have 2 months worth of daily transactions put into them - so I do not want to just download the app again from the App store, as the data which i have already put in them is the true value. Please can you offer any advice on what I can do to either:-
a) get my iphone to roll back to this morning (before I sync'd - also I havent done another sync for two weeks so reverting to the last sync will also not help)
b) if there is a way of getting this to kick into gear and add the app's back without losing the data that existed on the iphone (app) before I sync'd it today.
