IPhone 5s :: IOS 7.0.2 / Sounds Not Working Sometimes Since Last Update
Dec 5, 2014
since the last update the sounds in my iPhone 5s sometimes don't work. Especially mystery tone. It is a standard sound from the list in the phone. Mid I turn the phone off and turn itnon again and reset the sound it will work again... For a while...
I have an iphone 4s and the sounds have stopped working, or at least part of the sound has stopped working. I can still get a ringtone, voice mail on speaker and voice memos I can still hear. But notifications like email, messages and notifications of other apps are only working on vibrate. Occasionally, part of a tone for a message will sound. It did this several weeks ago and then all of a sudden it started working again. I'm not getting any sounds on games. I have checked all the settings several times, done hard resets, turned it off and on many times. I've done everything I can think of aside from reformatting (or whatever it's called for iphones). Has anybody had this issue? I've turned the sound switch on an off many times. When I press the volume controls, the image of the sound bell does not appear. Can't listen to music, headphone jack doesn't work either.
So a few days ago I dropped my iPhone 4. I'm not 100% sure but I think that is when my sound stopped working. The speakers are working fine, I can hear music and things like that. None of the phone sounds such as clicking when lock/unlocked, keyboard clicks etc are working. When I press the + and - volume buttons the icon does not appear, same as when i mute/unmute it. No sounds, nothing appears. Also, when I receive incoming calls the ringer no longer works.
I have tried cleaning with toothbrush, restarting, restoring, blowing in the phone, etc.
I have had the phone for a few months and sounds just stopped working. I can still send and receive calls and hear ringtones but all other audio is gone including video, music, text alerts, etc.
Iphone 4S sounds not working. Situation: The phone is not on vibrate. When I press the + sign the bell symbol comes up but there are no bars or cubes underneath it. When receiving a call there is sound. The keyboard sounds do not work and I have made sure that they are one. I have attempted restarting the phone as well as doing a hard reset but nothing seems to work. Running IOS 7.
Sound is not working when I get text messages or other alerts and notifications. Phone only vibrates. I have already checked settings. Even keyboard clicks are not making a noise and under settings it is set to make a noise when clicked
My iPhone 4 volume works perfectly when I receive a call but it is completely mute for texts, emails etc coming in. Also there is no sound when using the keyboard.
al the profile settings are correct, just randomly one day - since two days ago - i dont get a text noise.I even turned my phone off all last night. this morning - no change?
i just noticed that my phone isn't ringing anymore. only vibrating. after checking it i realized that all of my sounds have stopped working including ringer, alerts, notifications, speakerphone, video sounds, etc.i'm using a 9630 tour running v.5.0.0.591 on vzw. i've searched the forums but haven't had any luck finding the issue unless it is a 5.0 os issue. i updated to 5.0 when vzw pushed it a few weeks ago and the sounds were still working afterward. the last time i can remember hearing sounds was on sunday when i was watching a Internet vid.
Since updating to 5.0.0.484 on my Sprint 9630, my individual ringtones for SMS aren't working anymore. Also the top right button to put my phone in "sleep" mode, to concerve battery doesn't work either. Any help? Or ideas to solve this.
I just bought my Samsung galaxy s6 edge 5 days ago it's been working fine up until today. When I received a text message it didn't make the sound so I thought my phone was on vibrate or silent but it wasn't so then I went to settings and checked my notification setting and when I clicked the sound it didn't make a sound. So then I checked if I could hear the ringtone and I also couldn't hear. Mind you the volume is all the way up. So I decided to restart my phone and the sound worked gain but after a while the sound went away again and idk what is causing it.
After installing Verizon's Android update, the ability to assign different notification sounds is either missing or buried. It is no longer an option under application manager, app settings or on the applications menu.
The ICS update installed flawlessly and was working without issue until last night. I noticed that my personally assigned ringtones and notifications were suddenly gone. I went through the tedious process of reassigning all the sounds again and all was good, until I plugged the phone into the USB port on my pc to charge. I'm aware the SD card is not identifiable when plugged in, so I thought to move my personalized sound app back to the phone, but after again reassigning the sounds, they get "lost" when I plug the cable into the USB port. This seems to happen randomly, because overnight, my sounds were "lost" and the phone was only plugged in to a wall charger. I Googled and it appears the problem did occur on other phones when they received the ICS update
After the update my Z2 keeps making notification sounds for no reason. It happens in airplane mode too, and its really getting on my nerves. I check the phone expecting to see a text message or an email or something else, but nothing is there. Ting, ting, ting until I turn the sound off and miss the calls and notifications that I actually want.
When I updated the software on my phone, I the standard ringtones and sounds that I was using.I'm an old fashioned type of person and like the standard old fashioned ringer, it was louder and longer. Also lost the sounds I used for text and BBM.Does anyone know if there is a place to recover all the ringers and sounds that were on the older version of the software WITHOUT incurring cost.
I downloaded ringtones from crackberry a couple hours ago and now my ringers won't work and when I try to play ringtones in the media application it won't let me play them. I tried going through the profiles to make sure they weren't muted or off and nothing is working. I had the exact same problem less than 24 hours ago and the cell phone place just gave me a new phone because they couldn't figure it out either. If I could get some kind of direction as to what I need to do I would appreciate it greatly.
Global client support center Apple corp. or any professional person in this area I was updated iOS on my iPhone (version 3g) via iTunes and it is not working after that.I had not this problem when I was updated my phone before.
Basically, what's happening is: it downloaded, and now it's stuck "installing" It's just over 50% and has been like that for 2 1/2 hours. I NEED to use my phone ASAP, it's important, but I cannot get through this tedious update. How long is it supposed to take? Does it erase all my data? Will I get to use my phone before iOS 8 comes out?
After I had updated my iPhone4 to iOs 5.1 I have noticed that my iMessage doesnt work. The only way it will work is if i send them using my email and not my phone number it only says "verifying" net to my phone number. I have restarted my iPhone and I have even restored it to factory settings and it still wont work. All it says it "Waiting for activation..." under where you turn iMessage on. Anyway to get it to work with my phone number and not my email?
I was updating my iphone's software this morning, I believe there's a new system or something - my phone told me to update, while I did so my phone stopped working, the only image I can see right now is a picture telling me to connect to ITunes. ITunes isn't picking up my iphone either and its stating the software server could not be contacted.
I tried to download the new Software Update (5.1.1) for the iPhone. The installation did not work and now neither does my phone. I cannot send of receive emails or text messages, although the telephone capabilities seem to be in tact. I have already tried restarting the phone and closing all the apps. Neither has had any effect. Is there a way I can fix this without going to the Genuis Bar? I have very little time and the Apple Store is not anywhere close to where I live or work....
So i recently updated the phone to 5.1.1 (around tuesday). my last call was on sunday. after this update my microphone isn't working anymore. No one can hear my voice. Video works. Siri recognizes a little bit of noise when I blow in the left hole on the bottom. memo works when I shout at the left hole (you can hear your voice but not that much). so it's not a hardware problem. haven't dropped it or something. in fact the 4s stood the days between the call, the update and the second call in it's stand. I did the restart, reset, bla... things
I am in big problem with my iphone 4, when upgrade in ios 5.1.1 then my operator's network some times showing and sometimes not showing. Also notice that if the network bars is full but it is not working.
