IPhone 5s :: Why Don't Notification Alerts / Banners Show Up

Recently my iPhone5s has not been notifying me of messages, calls, etc. I don't particularly want sounds, just a visual notification like a banner or an Alert.
But lately there has been no banner or alert. I've been on an application for 10 minutes, and then I check and there was a call or message from someone 5 minutes ago. And of course it never let me know.
I've checked Notification center countless times and everything is normal. I'm running iOS 7.1.1.

Without having changed any default or preference settings on my BB Curve, I suddenly now receive notification alerts when e-mails arrive and reminders for calendar events. I have chosen "silence" on the menus I receive through the sound icon, but nothing changes. How can I shut off these alerts ?

Shouldn't this be as straight forward as going into notifications, turning vibrate on and sound on?Apparently not as this doesn't do anything. Sound and vibe works for my other notifications. Outlook is my only issue right now.

Does the iPhone4S have any way of showing you, on the desktop or the notification bar, whether or not your Bluetooth is activated? I am always leaving it on and forgetting that it is on. The notification screen shows whether or not Wi-Fi and/or 3G is active, but not Bluetooth. Is there a setting I can tweak to add Bluetooth notification to the notification bar or the desktop? Is there an app for this if Settings won't do it?

When I received a call, I always received a full screen photo of my contacts (the photo I stored in my phone). Now, I receive the full screen photo on one of my contacts, but everyone else has changed to a small banner at the top of the screen, with a very small photo in the top right corner. I can't figure out why this happened, or how to change it back.

Now this is one wierd problem i am facing since the past 2 days. I m not getting notification for any SMS i recieve on my phone. Usually the phone shows missed calls and text message notification at the bottom of the screen and also icons represting missed calls and message (envelope like icon) on the right hand corner of the screen. however since the past two days i m not receiving the sms notification. I receive it only for missed calls. Also wenever i receive a message, there is no sms tone. so everytime i need to check messages i have to get into the message folder.
To sum it up, when i recieve a missed call, my sreen says one missed call, similar it should 1 message (wen i get a message). However it only shows one missed call and DOES NOT SHOW one message, even if i have actually received a message.

Is there a way to have a notification not show up on the lockscreen but have the icon show in the status bar? All I can find is to either block the notification entirely or hide the content on the lockscreen.

one day my Atrix 4G updated itself and now my notification bar won't show anymore.when someone calls i have to unlock the phone press the dail button like im finna call someone and then answer the phone.Gurl at AT&T said it came with the update but idk anybody else who is having the same problems.

so I notice when I get a new blackberry bold 9650 I notice that I could receive a cool looking text message icon. However, I need to figure out how could I transfer all my data.The blackberry desk manager never did work on my old phone witch. After plugging in the new phone on my PC it asked if I wanted to transfer my data... So I did.I realized that when I was receiving text messages they were looking more like email icons. I tried to look up in my options and I can't find anything.

My xperia neo V doesnt show mail alerts for incoming mails configured on default email client installed on phone though the 'Inbox Check frequency' setting is set as 'Every 10 min'. Everytime inbox needs to refreshed inorder to see new mails. Same with Gmail app installed on phone.

I'm Indonesian and bought my xperia mini pro 2011 in december 2011 -unlocked- in official distributor store in Indonesia. I use telkomsel as the telco provideri update around December 2011 (?) to 4.0.2.A.0.58.In February this year or close to that, there is a permanent notification to update the FW to x.x.062. because i don't have time yet, I just let it stay that way. end february I went to US and will stay here in US until next april.for cost reason in US I used AT&T.after using AT&T for awhile, i just realized that the update notification is gone, i try to check trough setting> about phone> software update.and it say my phone is up to date. my guess is the x.x.062 is not yet approved by AT&T or something like that.my question is this: "will the notification update show up again when I'm back in Indonesia and switch the SIM card to my previous telco provider; Telkomsel?i'm only interested to update the phone back in Indonesia, just to make sure i'm not messing with anything.

After disabling "Show Notification" for apps on SD card, reboot the phone, this setting will become re-enabled. It seems the setting does not stick for apps on SD.
I've tested these steps but no luck:
- disable it, move it to SD, reboot.
- disable it, reboot, move it to SD, reboot.
- move it to SD, disable it, reboot.
Not sure if this is a bug or limitation of Lollipop. I'm using 5.0.2 on D6653 (build # 23.2.A.1.62).

I have noticed that while listening to any music (motocast or local) the player will show in the notification bar that it is scrobbing to Last.fm, which I configured and have a vaild login to.hen I go to the Last.fm website and look at last played tracks, none of the music that was "scrobbed" shows up. Has anyone else seen the problem ?

Woke up this .morning and had 4 text messages but no notification in my status bar but just y.esterday it was working fine I could get text notification. I did everything reboot my phone cleared cache from recovery and nothing seems to work I checked my messaging settings and its checked for vibrate when receiving notifications but it don't vibrate or nothing. The phone vibrates when.I get a call or email but it don't vibrate when I receive a text

I'm going from a Samsung Galaxy S3 to a Nexus 6. I never thought it would be so different! On the GS3, certain icons would show "event counters" or whatever they're called in the top right corner. The email icon would show me how many unread emails I had. The Text Messaging app would show me how many unread texts i had. Facebook would show me how many unread notifications I had, etc etc... They were all the same, a number in a little orange bubble in the top right corner of each respective icon.

I have the iPhone 4S and when I set events on my calendar and set it to alerte, it doesn't. I jut happened to open my computer one day when I apparently had an event and it alerted me on my MacBook. I need it to alert me on my phone because I'm not always on my computer when I need to be alerted. Any know how to get the calendar to alert me on my phone?

About a week ago my iPhone began to give indiscriminate alerts, CONSTANTLY! What's even more strange, the alert sound is not found on any of the alerts that my iPhone offers. It's a type of chime with three beats. It doesn't chime on the hour or around texts, voice mail, etc. Sometimes it will chime everytime ten plus minutes for three or four times. Then, nothing for three or four hours. Then one chime. I had to turn it off at night because it would start singing in the middle of the night.

I have my work email account in Office 365, I have configured the account in my iPhone 4 running 7.1.1 & it's working fine.
But i have a problem here, i use outlook at Work & i have created folders & folder rules for different people working in my office the folders have been synced to my iPhone but when i receive a mail from a specific person for whom the folder is created i don't get an alert & if the mail comes directly to my inbox everything works fine.Â
I have to manually go to the folder & update it for syncing the emails. I am missing some of the important emails which i shouldn't have missed.

One of my biggest complaints with the iphone is that if I have a voicemail, I only get one alert. If I'm not in the same room with my phone, I wouldn't know i have a message unless I continue to check my phone. It seems you should be able to set your phone to remind you every 5, 10, 15 or however many minutes you'd like.

I have an iPhone 4, and I'm a bit annoyed with the level of control I have over the different alerts.I want to be able to separately control sound and vibrate for each type of alert (ringtone, email, SMS, ect.)Right now, it seems that if I have ringtone volume enabled, enabling alerts for new mail enables both sound and vibrate, and there is no choice to have new mail alerts as vibrate only without silencing the ringtone as well.
I like to hear incoming calls, although I get a lot of mail so it gets annoying hearing the new mail alert every 15 minutes.It would also be nice to change the vibrate patterns and alert tones for all of the different alerts, and to create profiles for quick changing

when I get an alert/message my light/flash on the back by the camera lens lights up and scares the crap out of me when it is dark. It's also really annoying because it is super bright. Can I turn this off somehow?
