I just bought the iPhone 4s and I have no sound for alerts and music. The phone was purchased in Dubai and I live in Sri Lanka so there is no way I can go back to the store.

My iphone volume is extremely low. This goes for calls, alerts, music, etc. I had an iphone 4 before that was much louder, but when i got this new one the volume sounded like a whisper. Both volumes are at their max but i can barely hear anything. I have missed many important calls because the ringer was so quiet i couldn't hear.

I know that mail alerts can be manually turned off in the notification center, but I don't want to have to manually do this everytime I play music. If I have emails come in while the music is playing, it lowers the sound of hte music and plays the alert notice. I would like this alert to be automatically disabled while playing music.

Every 24hrs, i keep getting this same problem on my blackberry 9700 bold (vodafone UK).I only realise it when someone rings me, or sends me a text, etc. - regardless of sound selected for any alert (from incoming call to sms to email etc) it just plays 3 beeps (which is definately an alert sound i recognise, but I can't identify which one it is. But its definitately on the list on the phone)So I try to select my ringtone and click 'Try It', and it says the following:"Invalid ringtone selected; please make another selection."Anyways, the problem goes away for a few hours after doing a battery pull. Then it comes back again.I also have BerryBuzz installed (if this at all makes any difference whatsoever)
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy Storm had been working fine and I didn't change any settings. Suddenly even though I had the phone set to silent if a call came in the ringtone would play. This had never happened before. Now the ringtone doesn't play at all and none of the other alerts sound at all. If I try and test them they either do not play or I get an error stating it is invalid. If I get a voicemail I'll get a weird beep but that is about it.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a brand spanking new BlackBerry Curve 9360 that just arrived yesterday. It is great apart from this very frustrating small prob. I can not customise my message alerts for individual people in my address book. When I click on "try it" only the LED button flashes and there is no sound or vibration. I am trying to get the sound and vibrate to play as "active profile" but it just won't. I can override it and have custom volume and vibrate that plays no matter what the profile but as I sometimes like to set my main profile to vibrate or silent, it won't do.
So far, to fix it, I have tried: Wiping profile and sounds from the blackberry softwareFull factory resetCreating my own profile and using that instead of "normal" or any of the other preset onesLoads of battery pulls before and/or after any changesI have also had a few different people text me to make sure the problem isn't just the "try it" feature. It isn't. The sound that plays is always the default message sound for whatever the default profile is.
I bought Bold 9900 today and I have checked all the settings but still when I receive any calls it only vibrates. The ringer is not working.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy Vivaz no longer alerts me when I get a text, there is no sound or vibration, it is not on silent mode and I've checked in my message settings the volume and that a sound is supposed to play when a text arrives. The envelope that used to show at the top of the screen when I received a text no longer appears either. The only way to know if I've got a new message is to go into my inbox where it appears; the side of the phone will then flash but still no sound. I ran a software update, then a reset and software update, but neither have made any difference. Also am I able to transfer my existing texts to the memory card so I don't lose them if I have to get it all wiped?

Tried taking out the battery did not work.
I used to have a Bold 9700. When I listened to music with headphones, incoming message alerts would sound over the music through the headphones. With the 9650, the song pauses, and then the message alert sound comes out of the speaker instead of the headphones, then the music resumes. Is there a setting I am missing here?
View 10 Replies View RelatedWhat I like to do (and have always done with my other, non-blackberry phones) is go outside for a smoke, while listening to some music on my phone, then come back in, send some text messages and maybe make a call, then go out for another smoke, playing the music where I left off. My new bb curve 9360 can't seem to do that. Once I navigate to any other apps or anything, it resets the music player, gets rid of Now Playing and I have to start all over (I try to cycle through all my mp3s on random/shuffle). How can I even get to texting w/o stopping the music. Shouldn't there be a Home button or something (that doesn't stop the music)? I set up facebook. Now how do I stop all the activation sounds every time someone posts something?

Before the update I could just turn my phone on vibrate or mute and the alerts wouldn't interrupt my music. I'll be singing along to a song when suddenly the music stops, an alert tone comes on and the "new sms message" pops up on my radio display. It's bad enough that half of my apps stop working randomly for no reason since the update.

This means no sound at all ringtones/ notifications and even music. The software is completely up to date, all the volume controls are turned all the way up, and it's not muted by switch on the side.
