Xperia Ray :: ST18i Doesn't Wake Up From Standby If Not Connected To Computer
Sep 10, 2012
My Xperia Ray - ST18i doesnt wake up from standby if i don't connect it to the USB of my laptop. I have upgraded it to 4.0.4. It also doesnt charge if i plug it to any powerpoint and only charges with my desktop/laptop.
my droid 3 screen wont turn on. i can see the notifacation light blink and feel it vibrate and if i slide the keyboard up that will light up but the screen stays black. only way to turn back on is to pull the battery. verizon said it wasnt a known issue and sent me a replacement and not even 24 hours into the new phone its doing the same thing.
right after doing the upgrade my ST18i got very hot, and turned off after ~5 minutes. For sure I did a "Telefon reparieren" via PC-Companion, and installed no additional Apps. But the ST18i still becomes very hot - I guess its ~45-50°C. To use it again I have to pull-out accu and put it in again ...Replacing the accu makes no differences. when it switches to inactivity-mode the it can't be used anymore ... I have to pull-out accu and put it in again, too.the accu is empty after ~50 minutes. Even a new one has this short time.
I've started using the handset since last 3 weeks. It currently has software up to date (Android 2.3.4 build 4.0.2.A.0.42). Eveything was ok with this handset until last night. I've removed the SIM card and put it back and restart. It doesn't detect the sim card anymore. I've tried the SIM card with another handset. It workes fine. Also I've tried another SIM card with RAY. it doesn't detect the other SIM card either.CI
My Xperia Ray (ST18i) taking restart after bluetooth on! this happend 4 time and every time its ok when i flashed it. But its happend again after some days. I updated latest ICS already.
My Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 won't charge, and I can see I'm not the only one struggling with this! My problem was at first that my phone only would charge when it was connected to the computer with the usb. I bought a new charger but my phone wouldn't charge then either. So now I'm desperate to a solution, because now it doesn't charge when it's connected to the computer either.
Yesterday I updated my x10 (global edition) to R2BA026, since that I find I can only charge my phone when I connect it to my computer, it's charger can't work anymore...
My 4 month old Xperia Z2 has always worked fine until today. It was connected to my Mac computer, and I was asked to update Sony bridge for MAC. After about 10 mins it said Update Failed on the computer. I disconnected the phone, but now the phone wont turn on - all I get is an error message saying "Software update failed, make sure that your phone is connected to the computer and try again"
However when I connect it, the device isnt recognised.
I cant switch the phone off or on, all thats happening is a continuous loop of red light and then the error message (it's on charge at the moment)....
i was charging my Xperia V on my laptop, and i received a call. Because of the rush, i just unplugged it off the cable and answered. When i plugged back in, the files in the memory card were no longer avalible from the phone (apps included) and it can't even read it with a SD adapter. I tried it on my desktop and i'm able to see the files, but i can't either format or move/copy/etc. Tried already to format in a mac, a camera and another phone, and failed. Tried another memory card on my phone and it works. Also tried with the SD adapter unlocked, and failed as well. I want to format it or remove the write protect.
I work in a place where there is zero AT&T reception, but WiFi coverage in 100% of the area. I just read that iOS4 will allow WiFi to stay connected even when the device is in standby,, IS THIS TRUE?!And if so, could I just get a skype landline number, stay connected to WiFi, and use my iPhone 4 at work through Skype?
My X10 is plugged into my computer through a usb cable, but my computer doesn't realize that it's connected. I've connected my phone before, but this is the first time that's it's happened. I'm pretty sure the fault lies with my computer, because my phone charges when I plug it in. I've tried plugging into every usb port that my computer has, and it doesn't make a difference. Usually, when I plug my phone in, it notifies me that it's connected to something, and it asks if I want to "mount" a connnection with it or not, it's not doing this anymore, and neither is my computer notifying me that something is plugged into it.
if this is a 'feature' or a fault. I find that if my phone loses signal (i.e. going through a train tunnel) then it does not automatically reconnect once back out in the open air. I didn't realise this and wondered why I was not getting email feed on my phone. I pressed the top button to activate the screen and it briefly showed no signal before quickly registering full signal and then downloading about 15 emails. It seems that I have to wake the phone up after signal loss or else it will just sit there doing nothing. With the best will in the world this is going to be difficult - it is possible to lose signal fairly briefly and not even realise in which case the phone could sit unconnected for hours before I noticed all was not as it should be. Does anyone else experience this? I have had HTC phones in the past (a Desire HD just prior to this One S) and have never come across the issue before - my phones have always instantly reconnected as soon as a signal becomes available
My triumph seems to go into low power or "sleep"mode (Black screen) and can't be woken with the side power button. The battery life doesn't seems to be the issue because it will happen when the battery is at half charge or full charge. This seems to be occurring when it has not been used in awhile (~30 minutes). The only way to use my phone again is to remove battery and reinsert. Most of the time this occurs the red light is still on and blinking, but once there was no light at all with 3/4 batter life remaining. This is my second Triumph after having a bad ear speaker in the first one. Anyone else having this issue or have any suggestions on how to fix this. I've read the posts and I am curious if it has anything to do with WIFI being on since WIFI is on all the time when I am home.
I noticed today that sometimes when i press the home button to wake the phone it doesnt react...when i press it again it works normally....this happened to me two times...
just updated to .545 and now i have no standby mode. also when i lock my device, before i needed a password to unlock but now it unlocks without having to enter a password.
Recently updated my iPhone 4 to ios 7.1.2. Currently my worst problem: instead of going into sleep mode, the phone turns off completely. I then cannot turn the phone back on with the sleep/wake button. To turn the phone back on, I need to do a hard reboot each time by holding down the home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously. I have tried going into settings/general/reset and selecting "reset all".
I installed CM12 on my Nexus 5 two month ago and it works fine. But I have the problem that it doesn't react when I press the powerbutton to wake it up from deepsleep mode. Then I could only reboot it.
I changed the "network type" in the settings to "3G" because my provider only supports it and I thought it could solve my problem. But it also hangs up the phone anymore.... I adapted the settings of the phone in the following way:
- Installed "Apex Launcher" as the default one - Installed Klear Kat CM12 as Theme - Additional Apps are: Greenify and SD Maid
I just tried the following steps to fix the problem:
1 . Installed another Launcher instead of "Apex Launcher" ---> I had the problem anymore with the other Launcher
2. Installed Open Gapps "nano" instead of "micro" ---> it ran without any crashes of the phone for a period of time. But now I have the problem again....
3. I wiped "cache" and "dalvik cache" again in TWRP --> System was clean and ran for a while. But after a period of time the problam "came back"
When I'm at home in my Wifi I doesn't have any problems with the phone to wake it up from deepsleep. Lastly I installed CM13 and had done an Fullwipe before... But I've the problem anymore .... I've the feeling that the phone looses it's reception and then the Launcher hangs and can't get up of his own....
I updated my Blackberry 8900 Curve over the weekend to v5.0.0.1036(Platform 5.2.0.104) Provider is [URL] This updated was offered when connecting my device to BlackBerry Desktop Application.
After this update successfully took place I discovered the problem that the upper top right button (usually used to mute) does not send my device to standby anymore when being pressed longer than 3 seconds. This function worked perfectly prior to this update. Unfortunately I did not know on what version I was before, but as I`m doing updates on a more of less regular base I assume it was the prior available one.
Together with this problem I discovered something that is also working different than before. When I press the keyboard lock button (upper top left button) the lock now gets activated directly and the screen turns black. Before this update took place the owner details were showing up when pressing this button and the screen turns dark after the defined time to go off. The owner details are added correctly and show up when going to properties-owner.
I did a secure delete (security options - security delete) of the device and started from scratch twice already, but the problem remains the same.
Is there any way to get at least the standby working again. I´m using an case-mate holster with build in battery allow me to recharge my BB when no power plug is avail. Unfortunately this one does not have a magnet that send the device to standby automatically when plugged into the holster, so this manual standby option is important for me to extend battery life.
Having problems with my Xperia Ray connecting to my Jawbone. It shows it connected, and the jawbone even beeps when calls are ended. The problem is all of the phone audio is routed through the phone and not the Bluetooth.
I have WiFi enabled. Often when I am near a wireless access point, my RAZR M still uses 4G. It's as if the WiFi is going to sleep when I power the screen off, but it doesn't wake up again. Turning WiFi off and on makes it reconnect. It seems to happen mostly when I'm at home, where I also use the Motorola flip stand with "ESP" smart charger, and a NetGear dual-band wireless router/access point.
When the watch is switched on, the "wake up device" function works fine. However, after the watch has been on for a certain period the "wake up device" function doesn't work. Has anyone come across such issue?
I've had my HTC one almost since it came out and I love it, but lately I've noticed a change in how Zoe works.
In the past, when I connected my phone to my computer, I was able to see every picture Zoe had created. While this was a little messy it was great if I wanted to ensure I had at least one good picture; all I had to do was press Zoe and then look through the pictures it created.
However it's stopped doing that; now, when I connect to my computer I only get the 3 second video and the first frame.
