I can't believe a non-essential application such as facebook could have so much access to my device without my authorization. I need to figure out how to remove all the facebook related apps and plugins on my device, or disable them permanently. I have the st18a (north american) version of the ray (unlocked).
View 3 RepliesI am quite happy with my Xperia Play, but it received an update last week and now I notice that Facebook-related applications have now taken up between 40 and 50mb of memory. I do not use facebook at all and wish to remove all traces of it from my phone, but I am not able to uninstall it from the various Android application menus or even by using Elixir.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI wanted to test out the Facebook App that was pre-installed in my Blackberry, but did not find it interesting. I now have reminders all over my calendars of facebook events and birthday and all sorts of stuff. I've tried removing the preferences to sync my blackberry and facebook together but that only stopped the new events and such from attaching itself to the calendar. The old reminders are still in my calendar and I have no idea on how to remove them.
View 6 Replies View RelatedIt won't let you delete it by organising, and it won't let you delete it by App Manager > Installed Apps > Long Press > Unistall it just says 'Removing Cancelled' in both cases. I've removed the facebook installer but this makes no difference.

I tried that and rebooted my phone, but I still have all my contacts. I really don't need my friends list twice crowding my phone number space. anyway I can actually get rid of Facebook contacts?

Also, if I try to delete a contact that was imported though facebook, I get a message that says "cannot delete files from read only accounts" Is there any way to get rid of facebook and all of the facebook contacts on my Atrix? Which I'm only guessing is necessary because My Music and My Photos are so heavily integrated with it... But what about the users who really don't want/use these features?I have all of the sharing features turned off...because I don't have a social networking account synced to my phone. I have gone to settings and people and unchecked facebook under contact filters. I have logged onto my live.com account and deleted all of my contacts from there and made sure it is not syncing up with facebook and still have all my fb friends in my phone as contacts. When I go to people and swipe over to contacts I show none. I just want to get rid of all the facebook contacts and be able to add contacts one at a time.......

I've installed the sync program and tried to connect the phone with the "sync" option when connected to the pc - "no device found". I tried connecting as memory card while hoping there were some folders with sensible names for putting music files into it, but no. So how do you do it my peeps?
2. When I first started up the phone I thought syncing it with facebook was a good idea... turned out not so good.. Now all my contacts are saved 2 or 3 times, and some of them with no phone number even, just their name. This is really shit. So, if I go from the main screen to "all apps" and "contacts" (not sure what it's called in english, but i guess it's kinda something like what i write) I managed to turn off the facebook thing there, and the contacts were removed from that list. BUT, when I click on the phone symbol in bottom center of the main screen they are still there, I also tried restarting the phone - no effect. Also, it seems like i can't delete them one by one either so..

Such accounts do not appear as seperate items in 'settings' > 'accounts' and opening the motoblur account (on the phone) merely shows the linked email address and password (unlike all other accounts it cannot be edited in any way).

I have added and removed the apps several times. I reinstalled the CLIQ software twice. But I can't fix the issue.
When I go to accounts, facebook and twitter are not listed. So I click on add an account, and the next screen tells me that both programs are already connected associated with my phone.
The status and happenings widgets don't recognize the accounts. I can't remove them. I can't add them. They are just in CLIQ limbo!

I has install some games either from the market or through the web but somehow my phone suddenly cannot detect my SD Card. On the status bar it stated 'Remove SD Card. Insert a new one". Why this is happening? I've tried to check the card through computer and all the data still there. I've format the SD Card with fat 32 and recheck again. With the latest update adding the close all button back, but unremovable, I'm slightly annoyed.
Could we have the option to block or hide the package as we did on KitKat? Or at least move the button so its not right under your thumb.

I have bought in Poland brand new SE NEO V, and I'm not happy with applications attitude in this company. With that phone, has been delivered some unnecessary applications for me, like office suite or navi expert, which is not a freeware nad I must pay for using it. I want to remove them, especially the first one, but whithout root it's not possible. Why I don't want them? Each time i want to save, view image from internet browser or other applications, office suite start as application which allows me to view image, but it stays active and hidden - using my battery. If I leave it to work I must resupply power two times for a day.... which is not acceptable, as much as that I can't imagine that each time I use internet, I must enter application manager and kill tons of applications which has been preinstalled and start for my "comfortability". Rooting for me by myself is also not good solution because by doing that I lose my phone warranty. So what can I do to remove those applications?? Polish division tells me on infoline about those applications, that they come with phone and are necessary for phone working and they or I cannot remove them, and those also makes me cool so there is no reason to remove them.... Which i leave with no comment....
