Xperia Mini/pro :: Screen Is Not Highlighted And Phone Is Not Responded On Hiting Any Key?
Jun 19, 2012
I bought xperia mini pro a day ago.Everything is fine. But sometimes seems that the phone can't awake from sleep. I hit power button keyboards and 2 touch screen keys are highlighted but display stays blak. Only removing battery helps me. What does happen?I didn't find in manual how can I do forced reboot. I mean "press somrthing like Home and Power button together during 5 sec" and deveice will reboot automaticaly as a result. Because when I have a black screen I can't reboot device using usaul way.
In my prior BlackBerry Bold the phone numbers in Text Messages were highlighted and could be called by pointing to them. My new Torch does not highlight them.
has anyone tried to change the default phone call screen? I find it rather annoying because it's easier to touch with my ear the two top edges and the result is that the call get muted or i get the speaker on.
I was just checking my emails and the screen suddenly went blank. I removed the battery and then turned the cellphone on again. It could turn on again, but some settings were gone (VPN settings and Mobile Networks). I did the "Settings Reset", but it didn't work, nothing happened.
I can't receive phone calls and or texts, nor can I go online thru my Mini pro. What's wrong with my cellphone?
My Xperia X10 mini got switched off automatically and since then it is showing that "sorry, the process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly, with an option tab for 'Force close'." And since then it is not rceiving or sending any signal. It is also not getting connected to the PC. My repeated attempts by switching it OFF-on have yielded no results. That sorry window doesnot allow me to access anything in the mobile but for some duration of milliseconds when it is force closed with the option tab.
We're running BB Pro Software, version 4.1.4.17 in an exchange environment. We've been using 8900 handsets in the UK, over Vodafone for some time, and tyey work great... ...but now we have a new user who's bought a 9700, again over Vodafone, but this time in Germany. When he attempts to use enterprise activation he (eventually) receives "enterprise server has not responded to your activation request"
We've checked that his data plan is compatible with BES. So - how do we get this working? Do I need to upgrade to BES Express 5.0?
I'm pulling my hair out every time I use this phone. I have heard you can adjust the touch screen to make it less sensitive, but I've got no idea how to do it!
Got the app error 528 with reset hilighted. Have taken battery out a number of times and still get the app error. Vodafone say it's a replacement phone...and I will prob have lost all my data!
My life is my fone....dont want to lose all my data on fone. Is there anyway I can recover?
Some of the songs on my device are highlighted red and do not play. I have read somewhere that this happens when the songs name begins with a number but this isn't the case.
why my phone is showing two phone calendars? There was only one before the update (GB 2.3.4) After update (ICS) its showing two and also I am not able to sync my phone calendar. It shows synced but the whole calendar is blank.
I have x10 mini and I find it either turned off or at the sim unlock screen each time I carry it inside my trouser's pocket. If it is turned off I have do hard reset ( middle button and on/off) to turn it on. Later out of luck I have discovered that if you press the screen wtih my tumb a bit harder than usual it goes off and needs hard reset. So my guess is that the pressure inside the pocket turns it off. Believe me I usually wear baggy trousers. The reason I bought this phone is I needed something small enough to fit in a pocket. Is this normal or should I take it to service?
I am new to this forum and have owned an xperia mini pro for about 2 weeks now. It has a problem that every few days or so the screen locks up and becomes unresponsive and the only way to reset it is to do a battery pull. My question basically is should I take it back to the shop, or is it likely to need to have android reinstalled or something?
It did this on the very first startup after unboxing, it froze up when choosing the language setting, so obviously it is unrelated to any other apps i have installed. At the time I didnt think it was too much of a problem but then as I say, it started doing it every few days.
I cannot turn off the screen, when i press the button the screen turn off a feww seconds and turn on immediately. The battery is consumed in a short time. a problen with Android 4?, a problen with hardware?
my xperia mini keeps turning the screen on by itself and it really bothring me it happens every 10 mins and it do it couple times on row every 5 second
usually when I unlock the screen I use the numeric keys to unlock. On some occasions there is a swipe bar from left to right at the bottom of the screen.I do not know why this happens as I have not changed any settings.Having said that I cannot find any settings which refer to this.
i also face the same problem of flickering screen in my xperia mini. i read through most of the posts and tried the tips given like keeping the screen brightness to maximum, downloading some power control and brightness widgets and setting the brightness to maximum etc. none of these methods are working. I tested with the ambient light sensor by closing wiht my hand after setting the brightness to max also. Still the sensor was playing with the screen brightness. Someone please help me with any good suggestion to resolve this issue. my phone software build no. is 4.0.2.A.0.42. flickering is predominant when the background is light.
i am finding the phone unresponsive following an incoming call.only the volume botton helps to silence the call..screen or other bottons become unresposive till the call ends.after than screen lights get off(as usal)and upon re starting(not re booting),the phone behaves normally.this is happening random..2-3 times a week.i am using se x 10 mini pro with android 2.1 upgrade for last 1 month or so.this issue started a couple of weeks back .frequency of this 'hang' issue is increasing.the third party apps i m using are given below.

So today morning I got a call from one of my college mates. Phone started ringing and when I pressed the 'receive call' button, a message saying 'Android is not responding' appeared. I selected 'Shut Down' option, hoping that it would simply shut down the phone. Since then the screen has been black, not seem to respond to touches, only thing that works is a mechanical ringer volume button on the right side of the phone.
I really like the home screen on my mini pro, but the launcher screen is really annoying. I now have 7 pages of apps, and there is no way to go directly to any particular page.. I am tired of always swiping through page after page. It won't even loop around, so if I'm on the first page and want to go to the last, I can't just go backwards one page.
All of the things I've found to change the launcher also change the home screen. I don't want to change anything but the launcher.Does anyone know if a way to change the app launcher screen without changing anything else? I would love to have the ability to go directly to a page and to have the pages loop.. or, one or the other even. Or else perhaps a 4x4 grid instead of 3x4.
what i say to this company, last time i update my mini pro, and after that my mobile's touch screen is not working, What the * do now..and i also repair it 3 times with PC companion, but it doesnt work..and also tell me how can i degrade my androin 4.0 to 2.3 again. i thinks its all because of third class software you people provide us, android 4.0
I have a Sony Xperia X10 mini and it was working fine up until an hour ago. I went to listen to some music and no sound came on, went to see if there was any sound when trying to call anyone and there wasn't. it wouldnt turn off so I removed the sim card and memory card, put them back in and now pretty much all of the screen is black, (the only bit that isn't is the strip at the top where the time is displayed), the phone also now wont do anything, wont turn off wont even lock.I have just downloaded the sony pc companion to try and see if an update would fix it, but it wont connect to the phone. Asks me to tap the "USB connect" but as the phone wont do anything I can't so it won't connect.
i have a problem with my x10 minipro... my phone screen glows up when it is locked... and it eats a lot of battery life.... it glows up every 5 minutes..
I have a question: I recently my Xperia mini pro (the internal name is K17) get back from a repair process. In this mechanical keyboard is repaired, the way the phone is about 5 months old. After I get back the phone, I've been updating it with PC Companion to the latest Android 4 ICS, which is offered by SE here in Germany. After the update I now have the problem that the phone at least once a day, usually several times the system or maybe the screen seems to freeze. Mostly it reacts no more (the screen stays black), sometimes you can press the power button and the lights of the back and menu button lights up (the screen is still black). Only removing the battery bring the phone back to work again. After a quick phone call to the Supporthotline from SE I performed again with the PC Companion a repair installation with the Android 4 ICS. This has not solved the problem. Has anyone else experienced this? How can I fix it? Is this a hardware problem with the screen or is it the ICS update? Is there an official way back to the 2.3 Gingerbread Stock ROM without send in the phone to SE again and without losing the warranty?
