Jul 17, 2012after I repaired my X10 mini with PC companion, the wi-fi connection stops working after few minutes. The indicator shows the phone is connected and there is good signal, but all applications report network error when trying to connect. Turning wi-fi off and on makes it work for another few minutes. The phone is after complete wipe and reset, I tried to connect to different networks and the problem is still there. Other android phones connect to these networks okay and there is no problem (personally tested with HTC Incredible S, Desire HD2 and One X)

Aug 18, 2012I have my Xperia Ray updated to 4.1.B.0.431 just after I bought it, it was working fine at first. However, not knowing when did the problem start, the screen occasionally turns on and off automatically as if I press the power button. The screen turns on and off for exactly 5 times every time and this repeats for like every 10mins. The problem will solve if I restart my phone but the problem comes again whenever it likes. Could this related to any apps (task killer, etc...) I have installed? Or some bugs or something in the system? This could seriously drain my battery flat if the problem left not noticed.

Aug 13, 2011I have x10 mini and I find it either turned off or at the sim unlock screen each time I carry it inside my trouser's pocket. If it is turned off I have do hard reset ( middle button and on/off) to turn it on. Later out of luck I have discovered that if you press the screen wtih my tumb a bit harder than usual it goes off and needs hard reset. So my guess is that the pressure inside the pocket turns it off. Believe me I usually wear baggy trousers. The reason I bought this phone is I needed something small enough to fit in a pocket. Is this normal or should I take it to service?

Aug 3, 2010I am new to this forum and have owned an xperia mini pro for about 2 weeks now. It has a problem that every few days or so the screen locks up and becomes unresponsive and the only way to reset it is to do a battery pull. My question basically is should I take it back to the shop, or is it likely to need to have android reinstalled or something?
It did this on the very first startup after unboxing, it froze up when choosing the language setting, so obviously it is unrelated to any other apps i have installed. At the time I didnt think it was too much of a problem but then as I say, it started doing it every few days.

Dec 22, 2011i also face the same problem of flickering screen in my xperia mini. i read through most of the posts and tried the tips given like keeping the screen brightness to maximum, downloading some power control and brightness widgets and setting the brightness to maximum etc. none of these methods are working. I tested with the ambient light sensor by closing wiht my hand after setting the brightness to max also. Still the sensor was playing with the screen brightness. Someone please help me with any good suggestion to resolve this issue. my phone software build no. is 4.0.2.A.0.42. flickering is predominant when the background is light.

I selected 'Shut Down' option, hoping that it would simply shut down the phone. Mar 12, 2012I really like the home screen on my mini pro, but the launcher screen is really annoying. I now have 7 pages of apps, and there is no way to go directly to any particular page.. I am tired of always swiping through page after page. It won't even loop around, so if I'm on the first page and want to go to the last, I can't just go backwards one page.
All of the things I've found to change the launcher also change the home screen. I don't want to change anything but the launcher.Does anyone know if a way to change the app launcher screen without changing anything else? I would love to have the ability to go directly to a page and to have the pages loop.. or, one or the other even. Or else perhaps a 4x4 grid instead of 3x4.

Jun 17, 2012I have a Sony Xperia X10 mini and it was working fine up until an hour ago. I went to listen to some music and no sound came on, went to see if there was any sound when trying to call anyone and there wasn't. it wouldnt turn off so I removed the sim card and memory card, put them back in and now pretty much all of the screen is black, (the only bit that isn't is the strip at the top where the time is displayed), the phone also now wont do anything, wont turn off wont even lock.I have just downloaded the sony pc companion to try and see if an update would fix it, but it wont connect to the phone. Asks me to tap the "USB connect" but as the phone wont do anything I can't so it won't connect.

Jul 27, 2012I have a question: I recently my Xperia mini pro (the internal name is K17) get back from a repair process. In this mechanical keyboard is repaired, the way the phone is about 5 months old. After I get back the phone, I've been updating it with PC Companion to the latest Android 4 ICS, which is offered by SE here in Germany. After the update I now have the problem that the phone at least once a day, usually several times the system or maybe the screen seems to freeze. Mostly it reacts no more (the screen stays black), sometimes you can press the power button and the lights of the back and menu button lights up (the screen is still black). Only removing the battery bring the phone back to work again. After a quick phone call to the Supporthotline from SE I performed again with the PC Companion a repair installation with the Android 4 ICS. This has not solved the problem. Has anyone else experienced this? How can I fix it? Is this a hardware problem with the screen or is it the ICS update? Is there an official way back to the 2.3 Gingerbread Stock ROM without send in the phone to SE again and without losing the warranty?

Dec 8, 2010I not real flash with new phones but decided after recommendation to purchase the Xperia X10 mini/pro mobile phone.
Things look pretty cool but cannot work out how to hang up a call when the screen has gone to sleep. It seems I must push the centre button to get the screen illuminated then depress the icon to hang up.
This seems a little odd to have to push two buttons to hang up.... Have I missed an easier way?
