usually when I unlock the screen I use the numeric keys to unlock. On some occasions there is a swipe bar from left to right at the bottom of the screen.I do not know why this happens as I have not changed any settings.Having said that I cannot find any settings which refer to this.

View 1 Replies View Relatedconfirm if my phone would 'brick' or not if I used official Sony software to repair...I used the online service Da Vinci to unlock my bootloader...so if I use SEUS or PC Companion now...will it brick? How do I relock bootloader safely if I need to repair via SEUS? Would it be better for me to relock the bootloader then unlock properly via Sony? I did pay for the Da Vinci service, so I'm not in a rush to make a mistake! I'm planning ahead for the ICS update and just in case I want to reverse to 2.3.

I go to unlock the screen and on my home screen theres a grey bar that builds up like a "loading bar" only halfway down the screen. (Screenshot below) To get rid of it i have to press the return button and then its gone, I've looked to see if any apps were open but nothing. Done a software reset and done the latest update to 5.1 the other day still happens.
I have had my Samsung Galaxy S5 since January and over the past week it freezes for a minute then the screen goes black and it won't unlock and the only way to get it working is to take the battery out and reboot the phone but when you let the screen lock the same thing happens?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have x10 mini and I find it either turned off or at the sim unlock screen each time I carry it inside my trouser's pocket. If it is turned off I have do hard reset ( middle button and on/off) to turn it on. Later out of luck I have discovered that if you press the screen wtih my tumb a bit harder than usual it goes off and needs hard reset. So my guess is that the pressure inside the pocket turns it off. Believe me I usually wear baggy trousers. The reason I bought this phone is I needed something small enough to fit in a pocket. Is this normal or should I take it to service?

It has a problem that every few days or so the screen locks up and becomes unresponsive and the only way to reset it is to do a battery pull. My question basically is should I take it back to the shop, or is it likely to need to have android reinstalled or something?
It did this on the very first startup after unboxing, it froze up when choosing the language setting, so obviously it is unrelated to any other apps i have installed. At the time I didnt think it was too much of a problem but then as I say, it started doing it every few days.
I cannot turn off the screen, when i press the button the screen turn off a feww seconds and turn on immediately. The battery is consumed in a short time. a problen with Android 4?, a problen with hardware?

View 7 Replies View Relatedi also face the same problem of flickering screen in my xperia mini. i read through most of the posts and tried the tips given like keeping the screen brightness to maximum, downloading some power control and brightness widgets and setting the brightness to maximum etc. none of these methods are working. I tested with the ambient light sensor by closing wiht my hand after setting the brightness to max also. Still the sensor was playing with the screen brightness. Someone please help me with any good suggestion to resolve this issue. my phone software build no. is 4.0.2.A.0.42. flickering is predominant when the background is light.

Every time I unlock my phone I have to wait about a sec or two for me to tap on anything and have it open... I have the touch screen booster... But I starting to think it's not the screen but the phone.

I thought the battery had died or become disconnected, so I pulled the battery, put it back in, and plugged it in to charge. I came back to my phone's screen going haywire. It's locking and unlocking itself repeatedly inside the time of a single second. The sensor that I've noticed sometimes gets blocked and turns the screen off is clear, the battery is fully charged, and the screen is unresponsive. Is there anything I can do, or am I out the cost of the phone?

View 4 Replies View Relatedwell after few days reading different sites , youtube videos on how unlock the device lockscreen, I tried downloading adb tool , and droid explorer and even sdk tools.My main trouble is that half of my screen wont work and i cant get access to my mobile to unlock it.I tried to get in to recovery mode to wipe out the cache so i could get via usb my folder with my family pictures and so on , but after selecting recovery mode it says no commands available..
So this option is not working, is it cuz my usb don't have the settings to get into the folders or what. The phone is not rooted , i never enable anything so i guess that debugging i did read some post wont work with that adb commands from cmd..
i have just updated to 2.1 but have lost my downloaded apps and when i have tried to download them again they wont go on main screen

Phone started ringing and when I pressed the 'receive call' button, a message saying 'Android is not responding' appeared. I selected 'Shut Down' option, hoping that it would simply shut down the phone. Since then the screen has been black, not seem to respond to touches, only thing that works is a mechanical ringer volume button on the right side of the phone.

I now have 7 pages of apps, and there is no way to go directly to any particular page.. I am tired of always swiping through page after page. It won't even loop around, so if I'm on the first page and want to go to the last, I can't just go backwards one page.
All of the things I've found to change the launcher also change the home screen. I don't want to change anything but the launcher.Does anyone know if a way to change the app launcher screen without changing anything else? I would love to have the ability to go directly to a page and to have the pages loop.. or, one or the other even. Or else perhaps a 4x4 grid instead of 3x4.

I went to listen to some music and no sound came on, went to see if there was any sound when trying to call anyone and there wasn't. it wouldnt turn off so I removed the sim card and memory card, put them back in and now pretty much all of the screen is black, (the only bit that isn't is the strip at the top where the time is displayed), the phone also now wont do anything, wont turn off wont even lock.I have just downloaded the sony pc companion to try and see if an update would fix it, but it wont connect to the phone. Asks me to tap the "USB connect" but as the phone wont do anything I can't so it won't connect.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a question: I recently my Xperia mini pro (the internal name is K17) get back from a repair process. In this mechanical keyboard is repaired, the way the phone is about 5 months old. After I get back the phone, I've been updating it with PC Companion to the latest Android 4 ICS, which is offered by SE here in Germany. After the update I now have the problem that the phone at least once a day, usually several times the system or maybe the screen seems to freeze. Mostly it reacts no more (the screen stays black), sometimes you can press the power button and the lights of the back and menu button lights up (the screen is still black). Only removing the battery bring the phone back to work again. After a quick phone call to the Supporthotline from SE I performed again with the PC Companion a repair installation with the Android 4 ICS. This has not solved the problem. Has anyone else experienced this? How can I fix it? Is this a hardware problem with the screen or is it the ICS update? Is there an official way back to the 2.3 Gingerbread Stock ROM without send in the phone to SE again and without losing the warranty?
