Xperia Z5 :: Sony Album And Music App Not Finding Files On Device
Jul 3, 2010
As new the Sony Z5 Music App found all music on my SD card . I've now downloaded more through the amazon music app but they do not show up in the sony music app. How I get the new music to show up in the Sony Music app?
By the way my phone has no external sd card in it, plain phone memory.
1. I got an app called rocket player with a lot of music, yet sony music app seems to think there are no songs on my phone.
2. when i open rocket player and select song and state use as ringtone and then check it in setting its still the previous/ original ringtone from the device, i press the top right and again no songs displayed.
3. I have same isue with photos, I have downloaded images from my dropbox saved on to device and sony ablum app will not display any of my photos. Today my mrs sent me a lot of photos through whats app and NONE show in sony ablum. I even created 2 folders in sony album went to file commander and moved some photos into the two folder locations, open sony album and again NOTHING apart from orginal photos either taken by phone camera or screenshots.
I've noticed on different websites and forums that people are having problem attaching album covers to albums they've added to their native Xoom music player. In order to ensure all your music has the appropriate albums attached, I would suggest using Windows Media Player. The steps are as follows.
Step 1. Add music to the "Library" with the list of songs from your artist of choice.
Step 2. Then browse to the album that is missing art.
Step 3. Using either Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer, in another window, find a picture that you want to use for album art (the picture can be in a file on your computer or on a webpage), right-click the picture, and then click Copy.
Step 4. In your library, right-click the album art box, and then click Paste Album Art.
A copy of the picture is embedded into each of the songs from that album. The copy of the picture is automatically scaled to the appropriate size and converted to the JPEG format before it is embedded in the file. The original picture file is not modified.
Step 5. Drag files from your library to the "Sync" tab, then sync songs to your Xoom. Now when you check your Xoom you should have all the album artwork attached to your albums.
I deleted all the "unsatisfactory" music that was preloaded on my e71 mini using the delete function in the music player and it said the files were deleted but it still shows the album names.
Recently after few days later updating to lollipop device has stopped showing the files like images music files which are in internal storage in apps like album, music player, and even ringtones are not being detected, tried clearing media storage cache, apps reset to default also,
there is no way to only sort by "album name", just a combination of "artist and album name" is accessible under options in the menu. This gives me problem since I have a lot of compilations with various artist names.I remember that it was some similar problems with 5800 XM, but fixed via an s/w release a long time ago...
After updating to ICS, the album pictures were almost lost. Only a few songs have album pics even though I deleted the songs and replaced them, the pictures just couldn't be shown...
I have bought a Sony Ericsson W395 but cannot transfer music files - or at least I can transfer the files using Windows Media player (connecting via a USB cable and using the 'Mass Storage' option) but although the files appear on Windows Media Player I cannot find them anywhere on my phone! I have the same experience using Windows Explorer. I cannot download the Sony PC suite as it is not compatible with Windows 7.
I really like the visualization with the standard player but it won't recognize Google play music files even when stored on my device. Is there a way to get it to "see" them?
I just bought W205, couse my good old W880i died on me. In start there were some broblems, because it didn´t recognise any of music files from my 2G memory card. Well i run software update, even it was up to date and hey, it allmost worked. Now the music player regognises mp3 files just fine, but files that are in m4a format, (that i got most of my music) is not regognised. It cant handle them in proper way. It shows songs names, but dont put them in proper albumwiew, and wont play them at all. That´s very weird, because i had no broblem with them on my old W880i. If i go to filehandling and browse memorycards files from there, they works just fine, but that is not actually musicplayer, isn´t it! So. How can i play my music files in this MUSIC-phone i just bought?
I am trying to transfer music files from my device memory to my media card, I have read that I need to go to Media>Explore - which I have managed to do in the past. I tried doing it recently and I can not find the Explore option.
i am trying to backup my iphone, i dont know where the backup files and how could i know if it did backup?it doesnt give any messege when its done backup and it doesnt take a seconds and then trying to transfer purchases it give this messegewhen i choose store > authorize this computer gives this messege but actually it didnt and gives the same first messege i want to restore my iphone but without loosing applications and information.
I know this has been posted like a hundred times or more and I've followed all the threads around this but if anyone has a new suggestion that would be REALLY apreciated .Have a C-5 with latest firmware. Has around 365 songs in it now but when i add new ones it doesn't see them.Have tried refresh, trashed the databases etc. Reformated the card and loaded them back bit by bit and that worked and then added 9 new ones - that worked. Played it this morning for a few hours and tried to ad some more. Doesn't see them in the refresh. Card is a Sandisk 4gb - should be good - no bad sectors etc
Motorola's My Music app is having issues finding my music. If I view the albums for an artist, they all appear, but if I play that artist, some of them can't be found. Sometimes I try again, and these albums play. Once I even noticed that all of the albums appeared but songs were missing, and then when I looked at the album list again, the ones that weren't playing weren't listed. Then they appear again. The most troubling part is that these songs are in the same folder on my sd card.
When I copied over my music files using my pc I also copied over some text files to my phone. I have been searching about how to be able to view and open the text files.
i have a blackberry storm on o2 in the uk on pay as you go, i have no blackberry tarriff, all i want to do is to be bale to find the facebook.axl file and Internet.axl file, so i can tranfer them through desktop manager, and also bolt browser, because i cant do ota i need to just tranfer them through the computer, can anybody help me please
I have the U5i vivaz. I wanted to save some important text messages from my phones inbox. So i moved them to the phones 'my folder'.I now have hooked the phone to my pc, but cannot locate the 'my folder' area of the phone to print off the important messages.I have tried pc suite and windows explorer. To make matters worse, i tried moving all the saved messages back to the inbox. But it only transfered the recieved messages, all my replies that had been saved never made it back to the inbox.
For the past two days my XPERIA Z2 has been constantly shutting down after just a minute or two of using the device. The message displayed says something along the lines of 'phone is about to shut down due to high temperature'.. I am aware that I will have to update my software, but before I do that I need to transfer precious data from my phone to my computer, which I cannot seem to do as the device shuts down the immediate moment the PC Companion recognizes it. I am losing my mind, I really don't want to lose my data, mostly my pictures, i.e personal memories.  How to solve this, i.e backup files before updating the software? There must be some way since the device DOES turn on, it just doesn't stay that way for a long time...
I've been using this phone for over a year. It has always been hit or miss when I try to connect using media manager anso I can load music files. The straight USB connection s very reliable so I know the cable and card are fine. Any suggestions on why media manager cannot see my phone?
What to do, My X8 can not detect music files in my memory card! Even I Add some files, it will just recognize some of them. I have 120 music files, but my phone has 3 files recognized.
I recently had my Bold 9900 stolen/lost, although I have now purchased a replacement 9900 I want to try and track down my old one as it is not a cheap device. I still have all of the packaging of my first phone so therefore the IMEI / PIN etc. I have reported this to my provider (China Mobile) and I have a new account setup on my new device.I have sent a bbm request to my old phone hoping to get some contact but my joy, I am asking friends who have my old PIN as a bbm contact to try the new 'owner' as well. Is there any way I can find the mobile number of whoever is using my old phone so I can ring them? (I understand it may have been sold on but has only been 3 days since it was stolen/lost) or tracking the device? (I did not have any tracking software on the device at the time it was stolen).
I don't think anyone will remember it, but I posted here on esato a while back asking advice about getting a smartphone, as I couldn't decide what to get. Well, long story short, I found a good deal on a N97 shortly after that and I took it, even if it meant betraying SE, since I really needed a good smartphone at the time. And lets just say it wasn't one of the smarter decisions I've made in my life. Sure, it served its purpose well, thanks to the good WiFi connection, the convenient qwerty, decent camera etc., but aside from that everything about it was so boring, and above all, really sluggish. Needless to say, I quickly started to regret switching from SE.
Well, I've learned my lesson, so to speak, and now it's all in the past, because fortunately I managed to sell it. Plus, things have changed, and I dont have the need for an all-conquering smartphone anymore. So now I'm trying to find a good enough successor to my good old trusty W810. Which is still performing flawlessly, mind you. But I guess after all these years its time for an update, and here's where I need your help. What I'm looking for is basically an updated version of the W810, with the same strong points, such as good camera + good music capabilities. After a bit of research, I've narrowed it down to either the W902 or the newer Elm.
I guess the perfect match would be an Elm with the W902 looks, since the Elm is, according to reviews, better in the camera/video/sound quality department. Plus, I cant seem to find out if the W902 supports 16 GB cards. I guess the awesome looks of the W902 is really what keep me from going straight for the Elm, while the purple fringing I've seen in W902's photos puts me off quite a bit. And here I am going back and forth, trying to decide between them. And also: is the purple fringing really that bad in the W902 photos? If anybody here had the chance to play with both phones, and have a say on their advantages/weak points, it would be awesome.
I know there is media go that you use to put music on your phone, but you need xp service pack 3 or later. I must have an older xp version. Is there any other way I can transfer music files to the phone?
I am a relatively new user to this phone, and so I have been trying to get my music files (mp3 format) onto my phone.I have bought a new 32GB sd card to load them on, and some files will play, but most state they can't play.I have tried a transfer using file copying, and also used MediaGo, but I still get similar results. The mp3 files play correctly on my computer (Windows Media Player) and on my iPOD, so I think the files should be ok.Are there specific sampling bit rates needed for the Xperia?Further to this thread, I have now ripped some original cd's in various formats and bit rates (Mp3 to WAV), and it makes little difference to their ability to play. Some do, but mostly they don't. I can't find any common factor.
Finally getting somewhere .... I think there is a problem with the new 32Gb MicroSD. Its rated class 10, so its maybe faulty or too fast???I replaced the sd with the one that came with the phone, which is 2Gb (no class stated), and everything plays fine with this.
