Xperia Z5 :: SMS Apps Very Slow And Messages Get Deleted
Oct 20, 2015
Love my new Z5 but having a small number of issues with the SMS functionality.
Â
When i send a message it's painfully slow to update the chat thread, i quite often have to go to the main page and then back in to see it.
Â
Also if i start writing another text against the same or a different contact and the phone finishes its update it deletes anything i have typed already which is really frustrating.
Â
Also if i have several texts to open (say ive been in a meeting at work) the first one opens, but then when i click to go into the next the previous message reloads on the screen.
Why does my phone, sometimes become slow? I get it about the caches and stuffs but I already installed history cleaner, there should not be any problem. Now my phone memory is low, probably 1/3... is it because of surfing the internet? I always use dolphine browser hd, but I always delete the cache and history.
I got some problems with my phone so decided to delete it and reinstall everything, but I forgot that text messages would get deleted too and I have one very important that I would need to get back. I had a backup, but for some reason that got deleted, so I feel like I'm out of options..?
Is there a way to recover/retrieve BBM messages/chats from a deleted BBM contact on a BlackBerry Curve 9300? The "save message history" was turned off at the time of these chats.
my bb has started acting weird, sometimes( not always) when screen unlocked it automatically selects apps, writes messages, deletes messages, send messages etc. its like someone is logged in remotley and doing this, what is this and how can i stop it?
I have transferred successfully all my content from iPhone 5 to my Xperia z3. Â Â I used Sony Bridge for Mac doing that. It said, that in the end it would be a "pop up" on my phone giving me further instructions how to open the apps, messages on the phone - but It never came one.I can see that the content is over, because it now have 9GB less memory than before, but how I can come in contact with the content.
I have a bb torch, need to recover deleted text and mms from about a month or 2 ago, since those messages were deleted, there has been a lot of text message activity and deletion. The corporation i work for has sent the device off to 'forensics' (not sure who to)What is the likelyhood of these texts being recovered?off the device or the sim card.I do not have a backup file.I dont think i had the 'save to sim' option checked.
I'm having trouble with my text messages, using the stock Sense app. It seems that it is getting progressively slower as well. Whenever I touch the "To" field to add an addressee it takes a good 2 or 3 seconds for options to come up. Then after I press send, it can take another 2 or 3 seconds for the text to actually be sent. It is quite annoying given the horsepower under the hood and especially when I'm trying to send messages to different people rather quickly. I shouldn't have to wait on the app...there shouldn't be delays in getting a simple text message out.
I have an iphone 3gS which I have just updated to the latest ios. I have also got icloud. Since I've updated its been really slow. When I open an app I get a blank screen for a little while and then the app starts.
I was curious to making a long of all JB apps that are currently causing bogging of the UI. Notice any problems? Performace issues? Do you know where it's coming from?
Ive noticed this for a while on my iphone 4 (IOS 5.1) that it takes about 20 - 30 seconds from when i click on the shaking x to actually get the prompt come up saying are you sure you want to delete this app. Ive got plenty of space left on the iphone (about 1.7GB) so im a little bit confused on why its so slow to delete any app.
I have problems with my Iphone3 getting slower connecting to networks (like Facebook and other websites) and suffering frequent dropouts even when the battery is fully charged as well as using WIFI connection.
My blackberry is running slow especially in the messages. When i receive a message i click R to reply and type my message and send it before it even loads the message and i just got this phone 2 weeks ago. Does anyone know how i could fix this and speed up my phone?
the text messages seem to be frozen with the little blue circle working and just giving me the message "sending"..i haven't had this problem with other messages, only a few. the messages are not very long at all and no pictures or anything, just text messages.
I got the Edge a month ago. I transferred across from an iPhone - using the Smart Switch app to transfer all of my data across as well.
Since the transfer, the messaging app freezes, becomes unresponsive or is incredibly slow (especially in text threads with a lot of messages in this). This means that the keyboard freezes, words/letters won't appear for a while after they have been typed, sometimes the keyboard doesn't appear at all, and the messages thread takes a long time to update.
What can I do about this? How can I stop my messages app freezing so often? I really enjoy the edge, but the fact that I can't message properly (or that it freezes/is so slow) is ruining the phone for me.
I've noticed that backing out of messages has been getting slower and slower over the past few weeks. Is there anyway of speeding things up? I just don't want to delete my messages and I can't imagine that slowing my phone down anyway..or could it?
We're talking 2 seconds from within a message to back out to the conversation...and then another 2 seconds to back out of the conversation to the home screen.
1. Quite a while ago (months) I had an email from RIM / blackberry whatever saying there was a software update (OS 5) and to follow the links to upgrade etc or use the wireless update on my phone - which just told me there were no new updates. After researching for a bit I found what I thought would allow me to get the OS software but I had to fill in 'company name' to continue (mandatory box to fill in) I'm just a student I have no company2. When I download specific apps my BB just buggers up totally, any theme not by RIM makes my BB run incredibly SLOW and new messages cannot be viewed despite the notification appearing. This has happened with apps such as paypal and subway card which you would think would work well.
This has even happened with the new spring themes from RIM - so I have to remove them as soon as downloading them. If this has happened to anyone else and has fixed this problem or has any knowledge of what I could so that would be amazingDevice info:carrier: Orange (UK)Model and OS: 8520, v4.6.1.314Apps and free spaceile free: 101429410 bytes Did a battery pull fix your issue? Noticed that the apps that are slowest to load and are redrawn most often (and most slowly) are Google apps? For instance, Google Play Music, the Play Store, the ridiculously slow and data-hog YouTube, Play Newsstand.
Since updating to ios 5 my iPhone 4s has had problems updating and downloading apps. I have a 100 mb/s Internet connection with Telstra and the apps take hours to download. My internet connection works fine with other apple devices as well as home computers. What can I do to fix this?
Just recently when I click reply for a text message it takes between 10-30 seconds to start a new message. Then when I click the send button, it displays the "Sending Message" screen for about the same time, before finally sending the message. The phone was recently wiped by Nokia Care Centre because of a problem with text messages rebooting the phone. This issue is now occuring as well, but mostly at night?Any ideas as to what I can do to fix this? It has firmware 12.0.110 installed.
Im planning to upgrade my phone from C6-00, i need better performance becau C6-00 has *damn it* slow processor. Is E6-00 is snappy? or it also get slow when listing 2000+ messages?
Dear nokia, I've heard about some bugs that existed in current E6, when it will get fixed? If you have no intention to fix it ASAP then E6 would be a big NO for me.
Has anyone noticed slowness with text messages? I was texting back/forth with a friend the other day and it was taking about 20 mins or so to get a reply.I noticed my 'delivery report' was between 5-10 mins to get the D for delivered.I started sending the times I was sending the messages and ask when they were received, which they were received right away however I would get the reply about 15 minutes later. Is there a known issue with text delay?
I like to keep an archive of all my text messages on the mem card of the W995, but find that even when about 500 messages are stored, the phone runs at a snails pace with any aspect of texting.when typing messages it takes 3-5 seconds for words to appear on screen ,etc.any ideas? My old C902 did not suffer from this problem at all
I've had my Storm 2 for about 5 months now and at first it was running awesome-ly. Now, if I type to fast during a message of any sort, it'll freeze on that screen and I won't be able to do anything until I hit the back button and re enter the message I was writing to finish it. Also, I've noticed that apps crash a lot, and that overall, it is just much slower. I'm very good about closing apps when I'm done with them, so I don't really know where this lag could be from.
Since loading Lollipop, on G3 Verizon.....several apps will not load at all, and most others are very slow. Should I give it a few days to settle in. Google apps are slow, also?
