Google Nexus 5 :: Contact List Is Slow To Load
Aug 4, 2014I have recently switched from iPhone 5 to Nexus 5 and have the following issue:
When I open the dialer (Phone part of the phone) it takes several seconds to minutes to populate the contacts in the speed dialer ... when I try and just type in a name it pulls from Google search and not my contacts.
Then when it does finally load, I call a friend who IS IN MY CONTACT's but when I dial the number it lists the number as an old business that used to have that number years ago.
I have the same issue when I try and open "People" apps too ... takes almost a full 1-2 minutes to load (I only have 438 contacts).
I know a minute is now long but when you want to make a phone call waiting 60 seconds it crap.

Apr 30, 2012I have an iphone 3gS which I have just updated to the latest ios. I have also got icloud. Since I've updated its been really slow. When I open an app I get a blank screen for a little while and then the app starts.

Apr 25, 2012Ive noticed this for a while on my iphone 4 (IOS 5.1) that it takes about 20 - 30 seconds from when i click on the shaking x to actually get the prompt come up saying are you sure you want to delete this app. Ive got plenty of space left on the iphone (about 1.7GB) so im a little bit confused on why its so slow to delete any app.

Jun 7, 2012Since updating to ios 5 my iPhone 4s has had problems updating and downloading apps. I have a 100 mb/s Internet connection with Telstra and the apps take hours to download. My internet connection works fine with other apple devices as well as home computers. What can I do to fix this?

Jun 30, 2010I recently J/B my 3G after upgrading to IOS4. Now it seems its a 50/ 50 chance that apps I used before are compatible? One in particular(Infinidock/ $.99/Cydia) I purchased(no trial available). After loging in and being redirected to pay for the app, I get back to the "install" page and get an error message stating to the effect this apps only works with ">4.0" Though it was only $.99 I think this should have been caught before I paid for the app... And of course I've never seen/ heard of getting a "refund" from Cydia?

Jul 20, 2010I have a 3GS on 3.0.1 that I just used Pwnage Tool to JB/upgrade to 4.0 and then unlock using ultrasn0w.. everything went perfectly..BUT... some Cydia apps don't seem to work - looked around and didn't see a thread, so I started one. Hope this information isn't redundant.
Statusnotifier: One of my favorite Cydia apps, doesn't work with IOS4. It keeps crashing the springboard and I had to uninstall it. Apparently there is a workaround but that has its own quirks, so I will wait to see if an update is forthcoming.
SBSettings: Works but has some quirks as clearly stated on the SBSettings page on Cydia. I didn't bother with loading it yet although it is by far the most useful Cydia app in my opinion.
Any others? It would be great to keep a running list of apps that don't work with IOS4, or that have been subsequently patched to get working again.

edit: I think I'd rather have them suspend-in-place so to speak and instead set the filmstrip to learn and 'save' the '10-most-used-apps' or something like.

Oct 20, 2015Love my new Z5 but having a small number of issues with the SMS functionality.
When i send a message it's painfully slow to update the chat thread, i quite often have to go to the main page and then back in to see it.
Also if i start writing another text against the same or a different contact and the phone finishes its update it deletes anything i have typed already which is really frustrating.
Also if i have several texts to open (say ive been in a meeting at work) the first one opens, but then when i click to go into the next the previous message reloads on the screen.

Galaxy S6 :: App List Doesn't Have All Apps In It
Dec 8, 2015I've upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy s6 and am struggling with a few features/changes - one being that the app list doesn't have all of the apps I want to use - even though I have them downloaded. I.e. on the app list I have apps from A-Z, but on the page with F-G it completely misses out my Gmail app.
How to manage this list and ideally update it with a sensible list of apps (e.g. Gmail, BBC news etc as opposed to all of them including weird system function 'apps').
BB Storm :: Slow / Laggy - Cannot Type Fast And Apps Crashing
Aug 24, 2010I've had my Storm 2 for about 5 months now and at first it was running awesome-ly. Now, if I type to fast during a message of any sort, it'll freeze on that screen and I won't be able to do anything until I hit the back button and re enter the message I was writing to finish it. Also, I've noticed that apps crash a lot, and that overall, it is just much slower. I'm very good about closing apps when I'm done with them, so I don't really know where this lag could be from.

BlackBerry App World 2.0.0.36
When on my BlackBerry I click on BlackBerry App World.. then I click on My World
It lists my installed applications at the top... at the bottom though it lists my uninstalled applications. I do not want it listing my uninstalled applications... I didn't pay for them, I don't use them, and I'm never going to reinstall them.
I tried the ALT+r,s,t thing and it did refresh my app world... but my uninstalled apps. are still showing up. I also did a battery pull, and yes... they are still showing up.
Is there a way to remove this annoying uninstalled list... I know I can collapse it... but that's the thing... I don't want anything showing up in that list... that list is pointless to me.. if I uninstalled something which is free I should have the option to clear this list.

Sep 7, 2015I downloaded tons of apps for my galaxy s6 edge 64 gb so i made groups according to the app type but yesterday i went to a snow park where the temperature was like -7°C so when we got out, it showed that my sim card was removed so i restarted it. When it switched on, all those groups were gone except one which had facebook, tumblr and vine. When i see my installed apps on the play store, it shows all of them (the apps which disappeared) are still installed. They also appear in the app manager.

Jan 11, 2015Just upgraded to S5 about a week ago and I'm finding that several of my downloaded apps are not showing up in the app list, including pre-installed apps like Kindle. Their accompanying widgets show up in the widget list, but the actual app icon is missing from the app list, the only way I can get to the app is either by adding the large widget to a home screen or by going into the playstore and searching for the app. I've tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it but it doesn't work. In the case of the Kindle app I can't completely uninstall it since it's pre-loaded. Any other way than reformat the phone completely?
