Xperia Pro/Neo/V/L :: Image File Naming In Camera?
May 8, 2012SE Xperia Neo V Camera sets file name with a prefix and ordered number. The problem is that after I move photos from Neo to a PC, the numbering next photos does not continue, and start anew. I this way I lost a few photos while uploading files to PC. This name method is correct or not? Before SE Xperia I had Nokia smartphone, so it was add in the file name, except for the odered number, the date + time with seconds.

May 16, 2015A friend is having troubles with his Z3 : He used to take pictures with the quick camera launch button, but since a recent camera or system update, when he use this button, the camera is set to automatic mode instead of manual, with poor resolution and quality settings. If he launches the camera with the standard button from the phone menu, everything is fine and perfectly set up.
When the camera is used from the quick button and set back to the correct quality settings and manual mode, after closing it, it goes back to auto mode with bad settings. Same thing when he slides the camera icon from the locked screen. The only way to get the proper settings when launching the camera is to use the icon from the phone's menu.
He tried a lot of things, from uninstalling the camera updates to searching everywhere on the internet, there is no information or messages about this problem.
HTC One M7 :: Camera Image Naming With Date
Apr 30, 2013My old phone used to save picture/videos with full dates (eg. "IMG_20120513_215914"), while my new one (the HTC One) saves them with just sequential numbering (eg. "IMAG0004").
Is there any way to change this? I much preferred knowing when my pictures were taken.

Isn't there a widespread need for picture-takers to jot down particulars about any given snapshot on the spot? And I'm hoping I can afterwards search for the name of a pic or its notes using the Spotlight facility available when one swipes to the far left when at the home screen.

Jul 18, 2010When I want to sync my photos on my n900 onto my PC, it now dumps everything taken within the same month into the same folder.How do I change the folder naming convention/format, for example if I want everything taken today to be in its own folder as opposed to being mixed in with photos taken last week?This is a problem now because I use my N900 for photo taking a lot and the folder naming format does not match what I have always used in the past and continue to use with my regular digital camera.This was always an option in PC Suite, but doesn't appear to be an option in Ovi Suite, unless I'm missing something.

Sep 22, 2011I've had this problem once before in that my xperia play will not adjust to the right brightness settings. If I go outside and look at it I can see it a little but not enough to do anything with it and if I go inside it just goes to I can't see it at all. Last time this happened waited a while and it just suddenly started working. Do you think I should wait and see if it comes on or just take it and see if they can find out whats wrong with it.

Oct 2, 2011I just purchased a new Sony Xperia Play & I love the phone minus a few things and one of them is the screen brightness, I just updated to the latest OS and It is very annoying when the screen is so dark until you hold it up to the light and then it is bright again, This was to be the replacement of my X10 and if I could get the screen brightness issue fixed I would be a happy camper. I searched and see there is only one fix for it right now and that is to root your phone and apply the fix but I do not want to attempt to do that quite yet. If anyone has heard if Sony plans on fixing this or if there is another way around it please let me know for I am still looking at the new Samsung Galaxy II Infuse 4G which was my other option other than the Play.

Oct 8, 2012I am having this Xperia Mini Pro in my family since May 2012. When I purchased, it came with GB, and very soon there after, the update/upgrade to ICS was released. The upgrade was duly installed through the PC Companion.
I had initially noticed that there is no "Automatic" option under Menu → Settings → Display → Brightness. But then, the handset was in use mainly by my wife and I didn't think much about it since she always keeps the brightness at maximum or near there. Recently we swapped handsets and since I'm a heavy user, I looked for the setting to reduce battery usage, but couldn't find it!
I thought there must be some miss/bug in the software. I downloaded "Andro Sensor" from the market and there is no "Ambient Light Sensor" shown by that app! In fact, it says Light sensor not supported - see screen shot below:
Where as in the "White Paper on SK17" found on Sony's website [URL], at page 5, it says "Yes" against "Ambient Light Sensor".
My question is whether the sensor is there in the production version or not? It is there, then it appears the sensor in my handset is not working and needs repair/replacement under warranty?
After the recent update to 4.1.B.0.587, I observe that my display brightness fluctuates randomly, and this happens very often.

Jul 4, 2015I always capture raw (rather than jpeg) images with my digital camera. Post processing raw files in Lightroom gives me greater exposure latitude and dynamic range. This is the one thing I miss from my LG G3. I'd love to see Samsung include this capability in a firmware update.

Aug 31, 2010From time to time, I experience that my Xperia X10 does not automatically sync e-mail accounts (using the supplied/standard e-mail application). I've set up a number of e-mail acocunts (6) with different update rates ranging from 15 to 60 minutes. I can go in to one of the accounts, whereby it syncs and I can see that I have received a number of new e-mails (for a period more than 6-12 hours, without receiving any type of notification.
This is really annoying since I miss important emails. What can be done to ensure that they sync automatically and that I receive notifications?
