I just got the phone this morning and am trying to sync it up to my laptop and it won't connect, well it won't show up that it is connected. The phone says its connected via USB but sony bridge for mac still says No Xperia device connected.

The app syncs fine with my Google calendar (on my pc) with the exception that it doesn't sync imported calendars (like football team fixtures, MotGP calendars etc) unless I also install Google calendar on my Z3. If I delete Google calendar the imported calendars disappear.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI Just purchased the Experia Neo V, installed the Sony PC Companion application and copied all my Outlook contacts from my PC to the phone using Contact Setup. Now it is automatically syncronized to my phone via my Google account I cannot however sync my Outlook calendar via PC Companion. When I run Sync Zone it produces an error message (no explanation just error) and the Calendar sync is canceled. The contacts are synced successfully.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe last few days I've noticed that I have to "pull down" on my inbox screen to retrieve my emails. I used to just get notified randomly when the emails came in. At first I thought it was just when my wifi was turned on (didn't have to be connected), now it's all the time. I'm on Verizon, version 13B. After that last system update, everything seemed fine, but I think there may have been a gmail update since that maybe is causing this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I first started using my LG G3 D850 I copied all my calendar items over to the phone. I set it up to sync with google calendars.
But I looked online at my google calendar and do not see any of the entries that are on my phone.
As far as I can tell all other things are syncing with my gmail account. The only things I use regularly are gmail and contacts and they are syncing fine.
I just picked up the V10 on Saturday, and I love it with the exception of one thing... My data, or maybe just Gmail, does not get email when the phone is in stand by. When I double tap the screen to wake it, the Gmail comes in. I checked my account and it's set to sync. I checked wf-fi and it's set to stay awake when the phone is off. Power save is not on and no third party apps to control power or anything like that.
Will it just take a coupe days for Gmail to sync properly, or is something else going on? I don't have this issue on the iPhone using Outlook, or on the Moto X Pure.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo, we have 2 ATT GS5 phones that have been updated to Lollipop since the software was released. On May 7th, my wife's phone just stopped syncing Gmail. Funny thing is, it syncs all the other google services under accounts (Calendar, Contacts etc...) When you look at Gmail under accounts, where all the google services are, the Sync arrows never go away on the Gmail section. Also, since I cleared all app data, when you go into Gmail for the first time, it just stays at the pulling down email screen.
-I tried clearing Gmail app cache and data buttons, no good.
-Tried the uninstall updates button, rebooted, re-installed updates, no good.
-Rebooting phone and removing batter, no good.
-Tried clearing off all her pictures/videos to make more space (now have 5GB free), no good.
What else is there?
My brother changed all the settings on my ITunes account and now everything on my IPhone syncs automatically with other apple devices. My mums friend some how managed to get all of my music/messages/photos and we don't even live close to each other. If he was able to get my personal information I don't know who else would be able to get it...

I've just bought a new iPhone, and I want to sync everything that was on my iPhone 5 phone onto my iPhone 5S. The trouble is, on my "old" phone (the one I am using now), the apps I have on it aren't able to be downloaded in my country anymore, and my apps aren't synced to my computer because I didn't want to risk losing them when I synced it to my recently purchased MacBook. They are critical apps to my phone... I can't go without having them on my phone. My phone is backed up to my computer, so will doing a backup on the new phone give me the apps from the old phone?

When my phone was still in gingerbread, it functioned really well, including Facebook. But then when I updated my phone to ICS, I realized that:Contact pictures are no longer updating.It cannot detect facebook profiles of my new contacts.And when it does detect a facebook profile of one of my new contacts, it does not show any contact picture whatsoever.Statuses were also not syncing (not that they matter)I even resetted my phone into its factory settings and formatted my SD card. I cleared the data of Facebook as well. What should I do?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've only had my phone a few days and I'm trying to get everything formatted but I cannot seem to get pictures on all my contacts.In timescape and my phonebook there are only half a dozen pictures (facebook profile pictures) to my entries and plenty of people in my phonebook who have FB accounts. I've even been through and used their full names to try and help connecting the two.I don't want to add all my friends from FB to my phonebook, just include the pictures of the ones already there. There doesn't seem to be a pattern of the ones that are showing and all the others that aren't.

In Mail.app I have all of the accounts I have on the iPhone.I enabled 'Notes syncing' in iTunes but the notes are synced with the third account xxx@yahoo.it. I do not understand the reason why they are not synced with the default or the iTunes mail accounts. Are notes synced only with POP accounts?
I did not find any hint on how I might solve this problem and have the notes synced with an eMail address I choose. Do I need POP accounts to sync notes? If I set up a second POP account, will I be able to select the account to sync the Notes with?
I have the Bold 9700 with AT&T. I am running windows xp sp3 w/ MS Outlook 2007.Just recently my outlook calendar will not sync with my BB, I have tried all the reccomended settings and reset and resync'd til I'm blue in the face...I do not know what to do.An added note: I do publish my calendar to the internet via outlook...and recently retold it to update, and I have determined from that point on nothing has sync'd.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI fired up my Z3 d6603 for the first time. When I fired it up, I noticed that among the accounts available for syncing (including Facebook, Xperia with Flickr, Email and few others) there is no Google.
The phone does not have a Google Play app or any other Google Apps. How to get my Google Account onto the phone.
Note that the option "internet settings - download setting for internet and MMS" does not work. It returns the message "Could not download...."
I have a Xperia Z3 and I used to have facebook synced with contacts so I had facebook profile pics on most my contacts. all in all the phonebook looked nice with a pic against a number and a name.
But recently, I've noticed that all these pics have gone missing.
When i go to Contacts> Settings>Accounts & Sync
I cant see Facebook listed under the linked Accounts and when I Click on + Add Account i can see the Facebook app but if i tap on it to add it shows a message "Only on Facebook account is supported".
if I come out of Contacts and from main screen go to, Settings>Accounts I can see 2 Facebook accounts, Facebook and also Xperia™ with Facebook.
Now if I tap on Facebook it will take me to another page that shows me my facebook email address against facebook logo but nothing (no options) underneath.if i tap on the three vertical dts on top right corner the only options it gives me are Sync now and Remove account. I've pressed Sync now a number of times it doesnt bring facebook contacts to Contacts.
If I tap on Xperia™ with Facebook, shows me last Synced date on a new page and also a tab called Application control settings. now If i tap this it takes me to Xperia™ with Facebook Account Management. underneath it says Apps connected to Facebook account. and it only shows Calender (this has a enable/disable switch next to it)
I've looked everywhere I know but i cant get the phone to sync facebook with Contacts...
My Xperia Ray never showed the contacts image, mobile no. and status under Contacts after sync is made. I only show their full name and relationship status and nothing else. I have read some threads about uninstalling the app but it never worked.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just picked up a new V10, added my gmail account, and it created a contact for just about every email I've ever interacted with in the 10 years using gmail. I'm obviously missing something - I just want the 200+ contacts I have defined on contacts.google.com to sync on the phone after linking it to a gmail account. What am I missing? I don't remember this with previous Android phones.
I tried doing a factor reset, setting up as a new device, linked the gmail account, but it still decided to create 2000+ contacts.
I have an issue with the HTC stock weather/clock widget. The weather portion will update for a while and stops after about 6 hours. A reboot will fix the problem for about 6 hours. I have the weather app scheduled to update every hour. The same thing also happens with my Beweather widget.

Been doing it for 2 + years and all was working fine.I have just noticed that since late last year - or possible early this year- that nothing has synced to DRIVE on my HTC one M8 (... nor are they in the DRIVE app if i open it up on the laptop)
It definitely seems like a problem with the local DRIVE folder not syncing? (if i drag and drop in to the app on the laptop direct, then all is fine)Also, on the phone, if i go to the incoming screen and swipe down to refresh, i get "Refresh failed: please check your network connection". i am definitely connected to the wi-fi
I have BMW X5 (produced in 2014) and enjoyed seeing/searching all my contacts in the car transferred via bluetooth while I was using iPhone. Now I switched to Nexus 6 and my contacts no longer show in BMW, while bluetooth pairing was successful. I can make calls in the car, receive calls in the car, see my sms messages on the car screen, etc. The only option that is missing is contacts view and search.

I have gone under Organizer tab, then the Select Organizer Data to Synchronize.I have hit the reset settings and reset calendar, memo, address and tasks and it says it has configured successfully. However, after I hit OK, it says calendar is "not installed"every thing is syncing except the calendar.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had my phone for a few months and it was working great until a couple of weeks ago when a sync symbol started to appear (i didnt dowload any new apps or do anything new, it just started) in the top bar on the right hand side. (not the left like the twitter or fb sync symbols) Now if the data traffic is on it will sync constantly and cause excess dowload and battery drain. When i turn the data traffic off after using the internet it continues to attempt to sync and drains the battery unless i don't use the internet for a couple of days. I want to be able to leave my internet on like i did for the last few months without worrying about the download problem. I called SE and they told me i might have to reset my phone. I have SOOO much stuff that i don't want to loose. Anyone know what this thing is trying to sync and how to stop it? The SE guy already told me to turn all the sync and background apps off but it didnt change anything.
