Dec 18, 2014I own some day from a Z3. When I got a phone call, the keyboard is disabled (it does not appear), either when I try to use Chrome or even if I want to send an SMS.

Mar 6, 2015I have a LG G3 recently updated to Android 5.x. While texting yesterday I noticed that if I was typing (had the keyboard showing) and an incoming message arrived within my conversation, that the keyboard is forcibly closed. Thinking it was my built in LG messenger app, I downloaded the Go SMS Pro, Handcent SMS, Chomps, and Google Messenger apps. They all behave the same way.
I then tested my wife's iPhone. When she gets incoming messages they just show up, without forcing the keyboard to close.
So, is this the way it is supposed to work? I have never noticed it before. Could this be a LG upgrade-to-Lollipop issue?

Nov 21, 2012I'm trying to update my SE Xperia Mini Pro (SI 1249-0767) to ICS. According to the SI-list, the update should be available for my phone. However, both PC Companion and Update Service say my phone is running the latest version (which is version 2.3.4 and build 4.0.2.A.0.62 according to the "About the phone" menu). I've also tried to run the "repair" option of PCC, but that neither gives the update.

May 3, 2011I use text alot to keep in contact with my boyfriend who lives 250 miles away and our conversation had got quite lengthy which has been causing it to freeze lately and sometimes the text app crashes altogether when I open our conversation thread. I really should have deleted the whole conversation once this started to happen but there were a fair few photos and also some audio clips that he had sent me which I wanted to save and hadn't got around to doing yet (I usually just forward any photos etc to my email that I want to save due to the annoying issue of not being able to save MMS content on the Xperia X10 mini) and some lovely texts which I was reluctant to delete.
However, a couple of hours ago when I tried to open our conversation it just wouldn't open, all I am getting is a blank page. There are 5 texts unopened from him tonight and I cannot read them at all, just a blank blue page and I can't see our previous texts back and forth at all. All I want to do is open the conversation so that I can forward the photos I want to keep to my email and then I can go ahead and delete everything so that I don't have the problem of freezing and crashing anymore and so that we are able to text one another again. Does anybody know of any way I may be able to get this conversation open in order to salvage my precious photos before deleting everything? I really am reluctant to just go ahead and delete the entire conversation before I can work out a way to save these pictures but obviously I realise that if this turns out to be impossible then I will have no choice but to lose the photos. I'm kicking myself now for not saving the photos as soon as I received them and the originals have been deleted from my boyfriends phone as soon as he sent them. I've tried shutting down the phone and turning it on again, I've tried deleting other conversations to see if that helped, I've even tried plugging the phone into my laptop via USB to see if I can access the texts that way but I'm not even sure if that is possible. Has anyone ever had just a blank blue page come up when trying to open a conversation or knows how to get it open without deleting the entire thing?

Jun 15, 2015I've just got a new z3 and am slightly frustrated with the messages. It's taking up to 15 seconds to open up a conversation, it took 8 seconds to open a conversation I started today with 18 messages in it.
Is this normal? I just get the spinning wheel with 'opening conversation'.I've coke from an iPhone and it only ever took time to open after a restart.If this isn't normal (I'm hopping it's not) hoew can i fix this?

Sep 9, 2010When I call someone and I'm in a private environment, I like to hit the top left loudspeaker icon at once so that I can do other stuff with both my hands until the other end answers. But with the Sony Ericsson Xperia, the loudspeaker icon doesn't appear until the conversation has started.
Which means first that I have to hold the phone next to my ear until the other end answers, and second that the screen has gone black, and if I still want to use the loudspeaker I have to tilt it or press a button or something (which always feels like it takes forever) to wake it up so that I can access the loudspeaker icon.
Can you make the loudspeaker icon appear at once the phone number has been called, instead of, wait for connection, wait while ringing. Btw, can you also make the phone wake up faster while during a conversation. I have a small problem with it going black when I am calling centers with automated answering where I need access to the numbers to enter selections in the automated menu.

Jul 3, 2010Having issues with the Z5 when it comes to opening messages, mine will show opening conversation for 20 seconds before actually opening a message then once i complete the message the phone crashes and i have to close all open apps, phone is one month old and I am beginning to regret the change from an iphone. MMS's always make the phone freeze also.
I was hoping a software update would of fixed this issue but sadly it didnt. Not too keen on a much slower phone than previous phone for a further 23 months as this is the remainder of my contract.

Dec 23, 2010when I first got the Xperia 10 the standard english keyboard had the question mark and exclamation mark on the front screen, as well as an option to select a range of different emoticons.All of a sudden I now have a really basic looking keypad, and I have to go to another screen to access ? and Also, the word prompter was much bigger on the previous keyboard, and there was an arrow option.Now I can't go to a certain point when texting using arrows either, which is weird.I have tried looking up manuals and all it tells me to do is select standard keyboard, which I have done - there don't appear to be any other options to change the look and feel of keyboard.
