May 3, 2011I use text alot to keep in contact with my boyfriend who lives 250 miles away and our conversation had got quite lengthy which has been causing it to freeze lately and sometimes the text app crashes altogether when I open our conversation thread. I really should have deleted the whole conversation once this started to happen but there were a fair few photos and also some audio clips that he had sent me which I wanted to save and hadn't got around to doing yet (I usually just forward any photos etc to my email that I want to save due to the annoying issue of not being able to save MMS content on the Xperia X10 mini) and some lovely texts which I was reluctant to delete.
However, a couple of hours ago when I tried to open our conversation it just wouldn't open, all I am getting is a blank page. There are 5 texts unopened from him tonight and I cannot read them at all, just a blank blue page and I can't see our previous texts back and forth at all. All I want to do is open the conversation so that I can forward the photos I want to keep to my email and then I can go ahead and delete everything so that I don't have the problem of freezing and crashing anymore and so that we are able to text one another again. Does anybody know of any way I may be able to get this conversation open in order to salvage my precious photos before deleting everything? I really am reluctant to just go ahead and delete the entire conversation before I can work out a way to save these pictures but obviously I realise that if this turns out to be impossible then I will have no choice but to lose the photos. I'm kicking myself now for not saving the photos as soon as I received them and the originals have been deleted from my boyfriends phone as soon as he sent them. I've tried shutting down the phone and turning it on again, I've tried deleting other conversations to see if that helped, I've even tried plugging the phone into my laptop via USB to see if I can access the texts that way but I'm not even sure if that is possible. Has anyone ever had just a blank blue page come up when trying to open a conversation or knows how to get it open without deleting the entire thing?

Nov 1, 2012i've installed the liveview app 3 times, allways cleaning the cache and rebooting the phone. I've the last firmware on the phone (xperia active with Android 4.0.4) and liveview, but can't conect with facebook or twiter. I'm not the only one, i know a lot of people with same problems.

Jun 27, 2012When I plug my Xperia Mini Pro to the computer and synch it with the PC companion; it tells me there is a update ready to be downloaded to the phone. When I follow step, ie read the changes etc then proceed to dowmload update; it oes all fine to star with nd it starts downloading then all of the sudden it "jumps" ahead and goes over to error message to say "Error in dowloading". I have tried alot of times so it was not just a one off. I both rebooted computer & restarted the phones and tried again. Still same msg. The strange thing is it does with both the Mini Pro & the Active.

Dec 31, 2011I have an app, Activity Classifier, that uses the handset accelerometers to provide information on activities and total exercise. It automates exercise tracking, classifies activities by type and quantifies aerobic intensity. Live data streamed from an Xperia Arc using the app is displayed in a blog. While it is possible to use on the Active it is unfortunately more difficult on the Active than the Arc because the Active accelerometers have a fault that is hard to get around. The problem is that the accelerometers sometimes take quite a while to start sampling when either started or the sampling frequency is changed.Occasionally it can take longer than 90 seconds. The problem can be seen with the app Accelerometer Frequency. Switch between sampling frequencies and notice that sometimes it switches instantly and sometimes it doesn't. To minimise battery consumption Activity Classifier acquires data from the accelerometers for 6 seconds out of every 30. If no other app is using the accelerometers they will start and stop every sampling period. On the Active they frequently don't start and the app detects a faulty accelerometer. The app has an option to keep accelerometers on and if this is selected it will work OK but battery consumption goes up a lot. The Active comes with a pedometer app called Walkmate. I can see from the Accelerometer Frequency app that Walkmate keeps the acclerometers running at 50 Hz and running Walkmate at the same time as Activity Classifier will make Activity Classifier work OK as well. Walkmate seems pretty power efficient and uses less than half the power of the market leading pedometer app Accupedo, run in power balanced mode, but it counts a different number of steps.

Dec 16, 2010I bought the X10 mini pro simply because I love SE phones and I wanted to have my office e-mail with me where ever I go but I have been so disappointed.It's never been possible tp set up my e-mail on the Roadsync application from Android 2.1 there is this error -1002 that I get any time I try to Synchronize my mails and this is getting me crazy; one of the most important reason I bought the the X10 mini pro - get my corporate e-mails is becoming impossible. When it is connected on WiFi, it does sync all my emails but immediately it is switched to 3G all the mails in the inbox disappears and it's not able to sync again.

Apr 21, 2011I got the X10 mini about 9 months ago, and upgraded the OS to Android 2.1 as soon as the upgrade was made available. Since the upgrade, I have been unable to view photos properly using the new and improved Facebook app that was installed as part of the upgrade.When I'm using Facebook, it will display thumbnails correctly for each photo, but when I click on the thumbnail to see the photo properly, it will display a pixelated fullscreen version of the photo for about 2-5 seconds which then disappears, leaving me with a 'broken image' symbol and a loading swirl which just stay there indefinitely. Strangely, if my phone goes into sleep mode, when I unlock the screen the pixellated version of the photo is showing again, but will again disappear after a few seconds.

Jul 9, 2012my phone came with a lot of unwanted junk installed on it. The Facebook app is one of them. I can check Facebook on my browser when I want to. I don't want it to connect all the time. To my amazement I can't control the app at all. Even with everything turned off it uses about 100MB in the background a week, escpecially since the last update of the app! It starts up automatically every so many minutes. My datalimit is 400MB a month. This way the software pushed by Sony is creating large phonebills. That can't be right! The only way to remove that stuff is to root my phone, that's ridicilous! To pre-install software...ok...but I should be able to control what to do with that software, remove it, disable it and stop it from using up my data! I've informed some consumer agencies about this so I'll see what they have to say. This doesn't seem legal to me since I wasn't informed that I can't remove the apps and that they use data without your permission.

Nov 19, 2010I have x10 mini.The latest facebook app, 1.8.1 or whatever, I just cant get it to work properly, Often, or almost everytime, just says "loading" on an almost empty page.But the page does not load most of the times, and when it does, pics etc are missing. Just works very slow.
I have even re-installed my phone just now, but its still the same.The funny thing is that when this last facebook update was released a month ago? or so, it worked very fast and nice.Now for the past 2 weeks its almost unusable. Both on mobile internet and trough WiFi. How can this be?I have a decent internet on the phone and other webpages loads normaly.
