While in the middle of a call my phone randomly ends the call or presses buttons on the touch screen. I think this is because my face is against it. how to stop it being sensitive?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI use text alot to keep in contact with my boyfriend who lives 250 miles away and our conversation had got quite lengthy which has been causing it to freeze lately and sometimes the text app crashes altogether when I open our conversation thread. I really should have deleted the whole conversation once this started to happen but there were a fair few photos and also some audio clips that he had sent me which I wanted to save and hadn't got around to doing yet (I usually just forward any photos etc to my email that I want to save due to the annoying issue of not being able to save MMS content on the Xperia X10 mini) and some lovely texts which I was reluctant to delete.
However, a couple of hours ago when I tried to open our conversation it just wouldn't open, all I am getting is a blank page. There are 5 texts unopened from him tonight and I cannot read them at all, just a blank blue page and I can't see our previous texts back and forth at all. All I want to do is open the conversation so that I can forward the photos I want to keep to my email and then I can go ahead and delete everything so that I don't have the problem of freezing and crashing anymore and so that we are able to text one another again. Does anybody know of any way I may be able to get this conversation open in order to salvage my precious photos before deleting everything? I really am reluctant to just go ahead and delete the entire conversation before I can work out a way to save these pictures but obviously I realise that if this turns out to be impossible then I will have no choice but to lose the photos. I'm kicking myself now for not saving the photos as soon as I received them and the originals have been deleted from my boyfriends phone as soon as he sent them. I've tried shutting down the phone and turning it on again, I've tried deleting other conversations to see if that helped, I've even tried plugging the phone into my laptop via USB to see if I can access the texts that way but I'm not even sure if that is possible. Has anyone ever had just a blank blue page come up when trying to open a conversation or knows how to get it open without deleting the entire thing?
On facebook chat on my mini it shows active conversations but i don't know how to delete them?
View 6 Replies View Relatedi bought a new x10 mini pro. it comes with 2gb card. i used it for sometime. it was just awesome. then i thougt of upgrading it. i bought a 8gb micro sdhc card. i started using it.. and from the first day.. it made my phone heavy. it restarts. hangs up. screen times out. nothing is visible i click photos they are shown corrupted in the album. i went to the service center they asked for updation of software and charged me also. but it also didn't work up. i restored my phone to facotry settings.. and formatted the card too. when i used the same card with some other phone it was good enough. it just hangs up my phone. while listening to the music also it stops working the phone restarts.

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy X10 mini/pro hangs all the time. It hangs during following conditions -
1. Receiving calls - kept phone idle for some time. Getting a call on the phone.. and stuckkk!!! It hangs, just like that. Screen does not respond at all to the touches. And cannot pick the incoming call at all.
2. Already on a call - already on a call and get another incoming call.. trying to hold first call and pick up second. But again.. STUCKK!! Cant do anything since the screen does not repond.
When the phone hangs, cannot evne shut it down since shutting down requires you to hold the shut down button - which gives Menu (silent, airplane mode, shutdown etc.) and you cant select Shutdown option since the screen is not responding to touch.
So only thing you can do is remove the battery and put it back. This worked for some time, but now I have replace battery 2 to 3 times before the phone starts responding to touch again.
I read of some forums that other people too have faced this issue and even software/firmware upgrade has not worked. Is this issues due to a bad piece or with all X10 mini/pros?
When shooting with the camera of my xperia mini, sometimes the image hangs for 2 or 3 seconds, and then continues to shoot normally. Random hangings happen here and then. I suspect it has to do with the focusing function, or maybe some applications working in the background. This happens even when there are not much application working in the background.

If I press the power button, screen lights on for some time and goes off. I can't remove the battery as the battery is fixed.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I press the button on the microphone on my MH700 headset it does not answer the call but instead hangs up like sliding the red icon on the screen rather than sliding the green one. This is opposite to the behaviour of the headseet delivered with the phone and obviously not the way I expect it to work. The MH700 is supposed to be compatible with the Xperia series according to the packaging. Is there a way to change the behaviour through any phone settings, or is this something I have to accept?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I call someone and I'm in a private environment, I like to hit the top left loudspeaker icon at once so that I can do other stuff with both my hands until the other end answers. But with the Sony Ericsson Xperia, the loudspeaker icon doesn't appear until the conversation has started.
Which means first that I have to hold the phone next to my ear until the other end answers, and second that the screen has gone black, and if I still want to use the loudspeaker I have to tilt it or press a button or something (which always feels like it takes forever) to wake it up so that I can access the loudspeaker icon.
Can you make the loudspeaker icon appear at once the phone number has been called, instead of, wait for connection, wait while ringing. Btw, can you also make the phone wake up faster while during a conversation. I have a small problem with it going black when I am calling centers with automated answering where I need access to the numbers to enter selections in the automated menu.
As seeked over the Internet, it turns out that me and so many others are facing the problem of not being able to turn on and off conversation view on android Gmail app. I wonder why Sony support still didnt care enough to fix it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedHaving issues with the Z5 when it comes to opening messages, mine will show opening conversation for 20 seconds before actually opening a message then once i complete the message the phone crashes and i have to close all open apps, phone is one month old and I am beginning to regret the change from an iphone. MMS's always make the phone freeze also.
I was hoping a software update would of fixed this issue but sadly it didnt. Not too keen on a much slower phone than previous phone for a further 23 months as this is the remainder of my contract.
since adding ndroid 2.1 through the official support site my X8 hangs about half the time when making calls. Specificaly the display goes out and you cannot end the call. The call does go on but to hang up you need to remove the battery. WiFi is runnig nOK and its OK on texts, only phone calls.
