I have a Z3 Dual, all of my screen is responding perfectly to touch however the return, home and close app button are all unresponsive and only work after several touches, i have reset the phone and still no luck.

I see it the most when I am typing on the phone, the lower half of the space bar does not work, when i press it the phone vibrates as if I touched it but I don't get the space in the text, I have also seen it in the media player when I cant move the bar. it is as if the section at the bottom of the screen above the touch buttons doesn't do anything anymore, the phone senses that that part is being touched and vibrates but it does not do what it is supposed to do when touched in that location.
View 15 Replies View RelatedYesterday I did the most recent developers update on my ATT Nokia Lumia 1020. I have had absolutely zero problems with the phone at all since day one. Today while checking emails my phone screen flickered and then went to something that appears to be the "snow" that you see on televisions when they had no signal. In the "snow" there are 4 lighter bars and 4 darker ones running vertically.
I also am unable to do a hard reset or soft reset.
I found others who have the same screen issue, but they have been able to fix it with either a soft or hard reset. I unfortunately cannot do that, as the buttons seem to have also become unresponsive. After about 2 minutes the screen will go black, and then after about 2 seconds come back on by itself with the same issue present.
Since the early days appeared the notorious problem of red and green buttons that you "lock" and you can not call or close calls. Problem afflicting the Storm 2 in the world. Sent to help with a few days of life, is lying there for three weeks along with many other Storm 2 "pending rules from theBlackberry." In short, no they have not even touched and expect the Bleckberry tell them what to do. Needless to say that with the gentlemen of the Blackberry is impossible to talk!

View 4 Replies View RelatedSeems like such a stupid question but I've finally given up and will show my lake of smarts. When you are in a forum posting how do you get back to the home screen that shows all of the messages? I've tried pressing in the title line at the top but that doesn't do anything. The actions button only has a option to report spam. The only way I've figured out is to use the back button over and over till I get home or use the favorites button to get to the home screen. It works ok on my desktop but not on the xoom. I'm using the stock browser and with the previous version of the site there was always a link at the top to return home?

View 1 Replies View Relatedi've had my S2 for about a month now and have noticed over the last week , how slow it is to return to the home page. This is returning from anything whether that be from an application or messaging or just going into the settings. I've timed it today and it takes 7 seconds to return. It doesnt matter whether i use the home button or use the back button , it still takes ages. When moving between other screens, the phone is its normal fast speed its just when it returns back to the home page.

Also on sbsettings when i adjust brghtness it changes, but when I turn the phone to sleep and wake it up, it's back to the old brightness.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an issue with my BB Tour.When I woke up this mourning and took my bb off the charger.I notice there were HLhlhlhlhlhlhlhlhhlhl type on my bb so I tried to press the esc button and the end button and it didn't work. So I did a Battery pull and let it load up...and that when i found out that my trackball wasn't working.then all a sudden it started to type the HLlhlhlhlhlhlhhlhlh again.So I did a another battery pull and it did it again.So I wiped the phone decided to install 5.0 on my phone and I get the same thing.The only thing I did before my phone went hay wire was a couple days prior.I downloaded a couple free themes and screen saver from BB App World.I thought by doing the battery pull and wipe I would fix it but didn't. I know I didn't get my phone wet or anything can anybody explain this?

For a while now my home button has been sporadically unresponsive - I'd press it a couple times and then it'd work. This morning however, it won't respond at all, which means once I enter an application I can't exit it at all. I can't reboot it by pressing the Home/Wake buttons together either, since obviously the home button isn't working, and I'd rather not restart it every time I want to do something.
I think this is more a hardware problem than anything else and means I might need to get my phone replaced, but it's out of its 1 year warranty period. I kept dropping it, even with a case on.

My iPhone 4 dropped in the water. I tried to switch off it but sensor and home button momentally stopped working. There was no any tools to open back side and take out the battery. So it was switched on about 5 hours. After 5 hours I totally disassembled and dried all parts. It starts working but... Now battery does not working. I changed the old battery but nothing changed. When it plugged in to the computer via USB cable (without battery) It tries to switch on but rebooting every 10 second. But with battery, it tries to switch on and sometimes it loads everything and there is all my application and data but it reboots momentally. So there is little difference when it switching on with battery and without battery. Other parts working properly.

I have a Torch 9800 and recently when I try to hang up, a prompt appears that says, "Continue call and return to home screen", yes or cancel. I can not hang up my phone, I have to remove the battery to hang up, esp if the call goes to a voicemail box.

Is this a hardware or a software problem? Could there be something I can install to fix it, i.e. like a missing driver?
This is a brand new phone, and out the box, the capacitive buttons are off. When I turned it on, the lights were behaving fine and after using it for quite a few hours, I decided to reset the phone again since I wanted to set it up from scratch.
Am about to trade in my M7 for the M8 and have heard that some find the vanishing row of buttons, annoying/frustrating to use as you have to "call it up" every time you need it, which is essentially an extra step.
