View 5 RepliesI have given my old iPhone4 to my son. He is also using a newish hand down laptop from me.I wiped the iPhone and removed iTunes from my old laptop (his now). Then I reinstalled iTunes on (his) handdown laptop and connected the iPhone and then went through the normal start up process. Unfortunately the iPhone still downloads applications I purchased to his iPhone 4. Then when updates are shown on his phone, the iPhone account on the phone shows as mine despite his name being correct in Settings>Store>Apple ID. Is there something in iTunes I need to do to deassociate my details?

I want to stop new messages from scolling across the screen. I have tried disabling notifications in settings but this also seems to stop the message alert tone. I want to know I've got a message but not be able to read it until the phone is unlocked.

View 9 Replies View RelatedFor the last few weeks whenever I go out for a run my music pauses on it's own. I then "un-pause" it and have to turn the volume back up and carry on. In some cases I cannot get the music to resume at all and I have to restart the moto. I have also found that if I start my music before I press start for the workout the music will pause when I press start. Initially it has been doing this under 10 times per 2 hour run. This morning it paused, without exageration, nearly 100 times. Needless to say I was cussing like a sailor for the duration of my run.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased the 5230.I set quite a few alarms, and need to silence them without taking the 5230 out of my pocket or out of the carrying pouch and swiping the face or rotating it. Most other phones allow you to hit a button on the side to silence it. It is annoying in a meeting when I can't silence the alarm quickly.Does anyone know of any apps out there that would allow me to stop the alarm using the easily accessible volume button? Also, if you know of any apps that would give me more user controls. For example, I would love to be able to lock the camera button until I unlock it with a menu item.I gave up my old phone because of this alarm silencing issue. I may have to do the same with the 5230. I have 90 days to turn it back in to Costco.

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor whatever reason, Pandora stops after each song when my phone goes off and the only way to go to the next song is by turning the screen back on and opening the app. WiFi is set to always on during sleep. I'm connected via Bluetooth if that matters. Is it the app? There's a setting in advanced in Pandora about auto lock and I have clicked and unclicked and it still stops after each song. Once I turn the screen back on and open the app, the advertisement turns back on or the next song plays.

I cannot seem to turn off the Hangouts app vibrations for new texts. See, I use Light Flow for all my notifications, and I have it set up to vibrate twice when I get a new text message. Light Flow is working fine, but the problem is that there is always a third, longer vibration immediately before the Light Flow ones. I assume it's coming from the Hangouts app itself but I've poured through every setting, turned off vibrate everywhere I've seen it, and yet the single, long vibrate persists. I've even gone through all the main phone settings to no avail. I'm also relatively certain that Light Flow isn't the issue; when I disable that app, I still get the single, long vibration from Hangouts.

I just got a new Bold 9900, and set it up with 3 email accounts (hotmail, gmail, and my school's email). When I set up the accounts, I chose to not import any contacts. I have since double checked this under email setup to make sure they are not being synchronized.However, when I compose a message on my phone, a list of "contacts" appears as I type - so if I start with an "M", a list of contacts that start with M appear underneath. My problem is that some of these are not contacts I have specifically added on the blackberry (i.e. they are from my other email accounts), and others are not even contacts, but merely people who have sent me an email once before (such as a company I once bought a product from).I know this isn't a huge problem, but it is really bothering me, and I think it's a bit strange to see a list of people who are not on any contact list I have. I had a Curve for 3 years until now, and never had this problem.

You can prevent them from running easily.In the Xoom I see some programs doing the same thing. Like Maps. I have no need for the Maps app to be running normally. I doubt if I would ever use it. I have GPS for the vehicles and mostly go to known locations now anyway.I don't want to remove the app particularly. You never know when you might decide it would be good to run it
View 1 Replies View RelatedSince upgrading the phone to V21.0.045 I've had intermittent problems with the touch screen vibrate stopping working, which has fixed itself after a reboot. Also the unreliable slide lock problem has returned with this update. Now, as of this evening vibrate and even the small kick given when you switch on has stopped working. Not fixable by a reboot or taking the battery out.
I'm wondering if this is a hardware issue, simply worn out after 7 months or to do with V21? Can't reinstall V21, the new version of updater won't let me do it.
My torch 9800 suddenly stops & a clock like thing appears, maybe a saving mechanism. How do I change it?

Up to now my MOTOACTV has been fine, but today I had the music just stop several times mid-workout and it would not start again for several minutes despite pressing the "music" button quickly or even going to the music screen and pressing the play button. Within a few minutes of trying, however, it would start back up like normal. Also, my heart rate monitor was dropped once, but "sef-healed" and it seemed to be about 10-15 bpm off from normal at times. (This could be a low battery on the hrm, so I'll replace that and try again).

View 4 Replies View RelatedStarting today my music player has been randomly stopping during songs. I checked my memory card in another phone to make sure it wasn't the problem, and it wasn't. It also happens on the stock Blackberry Music. It will play for a minute tops, and then stop playing. The music player doesn't close, it's just like if I had pressed pause. Normally pressing the play/pause button at the top of the phone a few times will do the trick, but this is quite annoying. If I wait long enough the music will resume again. I also checked my device memory and it's not low at all, and this will happen as soon as the phone is on with only the mandatory programs running. Has anyone else experienced this or have any ideas what could be causing it? I've done a few battery pulls but I'm still having the same problem.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhat I like to do (and have always done with my other, non-blackberry phones) is go outside for a smoke, while listening to some music on my phone, then come back in, send some text messages and maybe make a call, then go out for another smoke, playing the music where I left off. My new bb curve 9360 can't seem to do that. Once I navigate to any other apps or anything, it resets the music player, gets rid of Now Playing and I have to start all over (I try to cycle through all my mp3s on random/shuffle). How can I even get to texting w/o stopping the music. Shouldn't there be a Home button or something (that doesn't stop the music)? I set up facebook. Now how do I stop all the activation sounds every time someone posts something?
